CNS Squash Championship: Nasir Iqbal Zaynab Khan win titles
Sports Bulletin ReportKARACHI: Nasir Iqbal (WAPDA), and Zaynab Khan (Army) have won the men’s and women’s titles of the 2nd CNS All Pakistan Men & Women Squash Championship 2023 after ousting their respective opponents in the finals at Pakistan Navy Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Complex, Fleet Club, Saddar Karachi.In the men’s singles final, Nasir Iqbal of Pakistan WAPDA outclassed 8th-seeded player Israr Ahmed from (SNGPL) in straight games, as the only first game was a close contest won by Nasir at 12-10 while the rest of the two games were entirely single-sided and Nasir outclassed Israr by conceding just 3, 1 point in two games respectively. Title winner Nasir received Rs. 200,000 along with a glittering trophy while Israr pocketed Rs. 140,000.Earlier, in the women’s final, Zaynab Khan from the Army overcame her challenger from Pakistan WAPDA  Noor ul Ain 3-0, as the final score-line was 12-10, 11-4, 11-8. The final lasted 21 minutes. The winner got Rs. 200,000 cash award while the runner received Rs. 140,000.Admiral Mohammad Amjad Khan Niazi Chief of the Naval Staff was the chief guest at the final and distributed the prizes amongst the players. Falcons win Independence Day squash team championship 2023
Sports Bulletin ReportKARACHI: The Falcons have clinched the title of Independence Day squash Team Championship 2023 after thrashing the Lions by 4-2 in the final held at Pakistan Navy, Roshan Khan/Jehangir Khan Squash Complex Karachi.The final saw most thrilling contest between Sikander and Mohammad Ali, which was won by Sikander 3-2 in a five-game thriller. Both players displayed top-quality squash and amused a sizeable number of spectators. Huzaifa Shahid, Huzaifa Ibrahim, Aina Sheikh clinch titles of KPT Squash
Sports Bulletin ReportKarachi: Huzaifa Shahid, Huzaifa Ibrahim, and Aina Sheikh have won the titles of the Pakistan Independence Day 4th Karachi Port Trust (KPT) Boys Squash Championship 2023 that concluded at KPT Sports Department Karachi. Huzaifa Shahid won the Boys U-15 title while Huzaifa Ibrahim secured the boys U-19 title and the girls U-19 title was claimed by Aina Sheikh. In the boys U-19 final, Huzaifa Ibrahim beat Anas Khan with 11-8, 11-8, 11-5 in 35 minutes. Mohammad Ali and Abdul Basit got a bronze medal each. In the U-15 boys final, Huzaifa Shahid beat Abdullah Shahid in straight games with the score-line of 11-9, 11-5, 11-4 in 23 minutes. Haris Sheraz and Abdul Ahad earned a bronze medal each. In the girls U-19 final, Aina Sheikh beat Sameera Shahid 3-1 with the final score-line of 7-11, 11-4, 11-8, 11-5 in 26 minutes. Wannia Tahir and Soha Ali secured a bronze medal each. On this occasion, Chairman KPT KPT Chairman Syedain Raza Zaidi encouraged the players and hinted to hold more tournaments. He also asked players to continue their efforts with more hard work and dedication. Later, the Chairman KPT, along with KPT GM Admin Brig Tariq Basheer, former international squash player Maqsood Khan and Tournament Director Naveed Alam, distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up.

Squash: Kazim urges departments for collective efforts to uplift squash
Players should focus on the game and improve their physical, mental strength Sports Bulletin ReportISLAMABAD:-Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Kazim Hammad, Senior Vice President (SVP) of Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) urged provinces and all departments to make collective efforts to uplift the standard of the squash.He was speaking at the 48th Executive Committee Meeting followed by the 49th Annual General Meetings (AGM) of PSF, which was held at Mushaf Squash Complex, Islamabad on Monday. Air vice Marshal (AVM) Kazim Hammad, Senior Vice President (SVP), PSF presided over the meetings, and representatives from all provincial squash associations and affiliated members were also present during the meetings along with squash legend Qamar Zaman.The performance of PSF during the years 2021 & 2022 was reviewed by the general council. SVP, PSF showed his satisfaction over the steps being jointly taken by the PSF and its affiliated members in Pakistan. He however, emphasized that there is still a need the collective efforts by the Provincial squash associations and affiliated departments like the Pakistan Army, Pakistan WAPDA, Sui Northern Gas Pipeline (SNGPL), Pakistan Ordinance Factories (POF) Wah, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan Railways to support the national cause of glorifying Pakistan squash at highest levels.SVP, PSF also urged the players to focus on the game and further improve their physical, and mental strength. While highlighting the tremendous support by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) with the kind approval of the President, PSF, AVM Kazim Hammad asked all member associations to generate further resources to meet the challenging tasks through an improved system.SVP, PSF directed the member associations to promote squash and increase the pool of players to thousands and also ensure age verification at the association level. He further stressed the implementation of a comprehensive training strategy to further groom the skills of our players and generate adequate funds from the Provincial Government, and corporate sector to sponsor their players and events at national, and international levels. The performance evaluation of provincial associations for the years 2021 and 2022 was also carried out by the General Council. Based upon the national, and international activities generated, Punjab Squash Association won the 1st position and KP Squash won 2nd position for the year 2021 whereas, Sindh Squash Association got 1st position with Pak Navy as runner-up for the year 2022. Senior Vice President PSF presented trophies to the representatives of concerned associations, and departments.During the meetings, matters related to the promotion of Squash in Pakistan were also discussed in detail along with future plans for the revival of international Squash. Senior Vice President, PSF emphasized that PSF would continue to sponsor the best men and women players in international events, he also directed the associations to generate adequate funds and sponsor all their respective players for national, and international events to afford them adequate exposure.
