Polo: Master Paints Black, Remington Pharma qualify for main final
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE: Master Paints Black and Remington Pharma qualified for the main final of the Corps Commander Polo Cup sponsored by Diamond Paints after winning their respective semifinals played here at the Jinnah Polo Fields on Friday.  In the first semifinal of the day, Master Paints Black beat FG/Din Polo by a close margin of 8-7½. Manuel Carranza was the hero from the winning side as he displayed outstanding polo skills and techniques and contributed with superb six goals. Substitute player Agha Musa Ali Khan also played well and banged in a beautiful brace. Tomas Marin Moreno played well by smashing in six goals and Farhad Mohammad Shaikh converted one for FG/Din Polo, which had a half goal handicap advantage.  The second semifinal of the day also proved a thrilling encounter where Remington Pharma faced tough fight from their opponents – Diamond Paints/Sheikhoo Steel – before winning the crucial match 6½-6. The winning team started the match having a half goal handicap advantage. Hamza Muwaz Khan did the magic with mallet and polo pony and fired in fabulous four goals and his teammates Ahmed Zubair Butt and Ahmed Bilal Riaz contributed with one goal apiece.  From the losing side, Nicolas Antinori also played well and pumped in five goals and Mir Huzaifa Ahmed struck one goal but their efforts couldn’t bear fruit for their side, which lost the thriller by margin of just a half goal.  A large number of spectators were present at the Jinnah Polo Fields to witness the semifinals of the ongoing Corps Commander Cup being sponsored by Diamond Paints. CEO Diamond Paints Mir Shoaib Ahmed, Director Mir Huzaifa Ahmed, JPF President Lt Col Shoaib Aftab (R), Major Babar Mehboob Awan (R) and a large number of families were present on this occasion.

Polo Cup: FG/Din, Remington Pharma qualify for semifinals
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE: FG/Din Polo and Remington Pharma qualified for the semifinals by winning their respective matches played on the eighth day of the Corps Commander Polo Cup sponsored by Diamond Pants here at the Jinnah Polo Fields on Tuesday.  The most exciting match of the day was played between Remington Pharma and Remounts and after a tough contest, Remington Pharma won the thriller by 11½-10 goals. The Remounts team was enjoying an 8-2 lead by the end of the second chukker but Hamza Mawaz Khan then made the difference and turned the tables of the match in the next two chukker. Hamza continued to score goals one after another and by the end of the match, his superb six-goal contribution steered his side to a close 11½-10 triumph. Ahmed Zubair Butt and Ahmed Bilal Riaz also played key roles in their team’s success as they pumped in four and one goal for Remington Pharma, which had a half goals handicap advantage.  On the other hand, Remounts players also kept on fighting till the end, but their efforts couldn’t bear fruit for their side, which lost the crucial match. Raja Temur Nadeem top-scored for Remounts with fabulous five goals while Muhammad Naeem hammered a hat-trick of goals and Major Haseeb Minhas (R) banged in a brace.   Meanwhile, FG/Din Polo defeated Salam Polo team by 9-3 to qualify for the semifinals. Mian Abbas Mukhtar and Tomas Marin Moreno emerged as hero of the day for the winning side as they fired in fabulous four goals each while Shah Shamyl Alam converted one goal. Rulo Trotz scored all the three goals for Salam Polo.   Earlier, Master Paints/Newage Cables edged past DS Polo/Barry’s by a narrow margin of 9½-9. Juan Cruz Greguol played a hero's role for Master Paints/Newage as he hammered excellent eight goals while Adnan Jalil Azam slammed in the remaining one goal while they also had a half goal handicap advantage.   For the losing side, Rulo Trotz thrashed in superb eight while Nafees Barry struck one goal. The final league matches will be played today (Wednesday) here at the Jinnah Polo Fields.

PAF Whites win the title of CAS Challenge Cup Polo Tournament
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Whites have won the 31st Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Challenge Cup Polo Tournament Trophy by defeating PAF Blues with 5-1/2 to 5 goals in the final at the lush green Islamabad Polo Club. Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, who was the chief guest, gave away prizes to players and awarded CAS challenge polo cup trophy to the winning team. Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu congratulated the winners and appreciated the club management for the successful conduct of the event. He also emphasized the significance of sports for improving the youth’s psychomotor skills and physical health. The PAF Sports Control Committee in collaboration with the Islamabad Polo Club organised the 31st CAS Challenge Cup Polo Tournament-2022.

Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE: FG/Din Polo, Diamond Paints/Sheikhoo Steel and Remington Pharma recorded easy victories on the sixth day of the Corps Commander Polo Cup sponsored by Diamond Pants here at the Jinnah Polo Fields (JPF) on Sunday. In the first match of the day, FG/Din Polo beat Master Paints/Newage Cables by 7-5½. Tomas Marin Moreno played hero’s role in FG/Din Polo’s victory by firing in fabulous four goals while Mian Abbas Mukhtar banged in a beautiful brace and Shah Shamyl Alam and Rafi Shaikh scored one goal each.  The players of Master Paints/Newage Cables also fought well against their opponents but they couldn’t finish the crucial match and lost it by 5½-7. Juan Cruz Greguol slammed in four goals and Farooq Amin Sufi struck one for the losing side, which had a half goal handicap advantage.  Nicolas Antinori helped Diamond Paints/Sheikhoo Steel outsmart 4 Corps Team by a good margin of 9-3. Nicolas Antinori did the magic with mallet and polo pony and hammered impressive five goals. Mir Huzaifa Ahmed also played well and thrashed in two goals while Omer Asjad Malhi and Osman Aziz Anwar converted one one goal each. The 4 Corps Team had a two-goal handicap advantage while Mohammad Raza Behboudi scored the only goal. Hamza Mawaz Khan’s clinical performance guided Remington Pharma to a thumping 10½-5 triumph over Team Diamond Paints in the third and final match of the day. Hamza was in sublime form and amused the spectators with his magical mallet and pony work as he hammered excellent nine goals for Remington Pharma while Ahmed Bilal Riaz struck the remaining one for the winning side, which had the handicap advantage of a half goal. Abdul Rehman Monnoo hammered a hat-trick and Lt Col Omer Minhas banged in a brace for Diamond Paints.

Master Paints/Newage, Remington Pharma, Kalabagh/Zacky Farm win openers Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE: Master Paints/Newage, Remington Pharma and Kalabagh/Zacky Farm won the opening day matches of the Corps Commander Polo Cup sponsored by Diamond Paints that commenced here at the Jinnah Polo Fields (JPF).  In the first match of the opening day, Master Paints/Newage outsmarted Salam Polo team by 7-4½. Juan Cruz Greguol played a hero’s role in the winning side ‘s success as utilizing his sublime form, he smashed in superb six goals while his teammate Adnan Jalil Azam contributed with one goal. Nicolas Ruiz Guinazu hammered a hat-trick of goals for Salam Polo team, which had one and a half goal handicap advantage.  The second match, that proved a one-sided affair, In the second match, was fully dominated by Team Remington Pharma and outclassed Team Rijas Group by a huge margin of 11-4. Hamza Mawaz Khan emerged as hero of the day as he played a brilliant game and pumped in excellent nine goals.  Ahmed Bilal Riaz and Ahmed Zubair Butt were among other key contributors, who slammed in one goal apiece. Polo Cup: FG / Din overpower Newage Cables / Master Paints 9-5 in final
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE (November 27, 2022): FG/Din Polo overpowered Newage Cables/Master Paints by 9-5 to win the title of the two-week Coca-Cola Aibak Polo Cup 2022 that concluded here at Lahore Polo Club on Sunday. To witness and enjoy the challenging and enthralling Aibak Polo Cup final, the officials of Coca-Cola, Century Ventures Director Ayaz Lakhani, Director Kamran Afzal, Director Wasim Mazhar and COO Century Ventures Nazia Wasim, Lahore Polo Club President Omer Sadiq, Secretary Agha Murtaza Ali Khan, executive committee members and a great number of polo lovers, players and their families were present. At the concluding ceremony, officials of Coca-Cola and Century Ventures distributed prizes and shields among the winners and top performers. In the main final, both the teams played superb polo and gave tough time to each other, but FG/Din Polo dominated the last two chukkers and managed to take a huge lead, which helped them win the title clash comfortably by 9-5. Argentinean player Tomas Marin Moreno stole the show by displaying high-quality mallet and polo pony work and firing in fabulous five goals for the winning side. Shah Shamyl Alam also played well and banged in a brace while Farhad Mohammad Shaikh and Mian Abbas Mukhtar contributed with one goal apiece. For the losing side, Juan Cruz Greguol pumped in all the five goals. Earlier in the subsidiary final, Remington Pharma outlasted Diamond Paints/Sheikhoo Steel 7-4. For Remington Pharma, Hamza Nawaz Khan emerged as hero of the day as he smashed in superb five goals while Ahmed Zubair Butt converted a beautiful brace. Mian Abbas Mukhtar also played well and fired in fabulous four goals while Farhad Mohammad Shaikh thrashed in two tremendous goals for Team FG/Din Polo, while they had also a handicap advantage of half goal. A large number of lively Lahorites were present on the occasion to witness and enjoy the enthralling and exciting matches of the historic Aibak Polo Cup which is being organized in collaboration with Coca-Cola and Century 99.  In the first match of the day, Master Pants Black defeated Guard Rice 9-6½. Manuel Carranza emerged as hero of the day from the winning side as he displayed outstanding polo skills and techniques and smashed in superb six goals.  Sufi Mohammad Amir and Sufi Mohammad Haroon also played well for Master Paints Black and converted two and one goal respectively. Saqib Khan Khakwani and Taimoor Ali Malik scored two goals each while Taimur Noon and Hamza Ejaz scored one goal each for Guard Rice. In the second match of the day, Remounts defeated Salam Polo by 10-4½. Raja Temur Nadeem was in sublime form as he played excellent polo and slammed in superb six goals while Shahzad fired in fabulous four goals. Hamza Ali Hakeem and Raja Arsalan scored one goal each for Salam Polo. This victory helped Remounts qualify for the semifinals.  The third match of the day proved a nail-biting encounter where Diamond Paints edged out Platinum Homes by a narrow margin of 3-2½. His teammate Ahmed Zubair Butt also played well and hammered an impressive hat-trick for Remington Pharma, which had also a handicap advantage.  For Diamond Paints/Sheikhoo Steel, Nicolas Antinori and Mir Huzaifa Ahmed also displayed high-quality polo skills and techniques and smashed in superb seven and two goals but their efforts proved futile in the end as their side lost the crucial match by a narrow margin of 7-7½. The second match of the day proved a one-sided affair which was comfortably won by Remounts, who overpowered Guard Rice by a huge margin of 11-3½. For Remounts, Raja Temur Nadeem and Sawar Muhammad Naeem did magic with mallet and pony and pumped in fantabulous five goals each while Shehzad scored one goal. Hamza Ejaz and Saqib Khan Khakwani scored two and one goal respectively for Guard Rice, which had a handicap advantage of a half goal. The third encounter of the day proved a thrilling one, where Newage Cables/Master Paints faced tough resistance from FG/Din Polo team before winning the crucial match by 7-6. Aibak Polo Cup: Barrys / DS Polo, Diamond Paints win openers
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE: Teams Barry’s / DS Polo and Diamond Paints have won their opening day matches of the Coca-Cola 46th Aibak Polo Cup played here at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Tuesday. In the first match of the opening day, Barry’s/DS Polo outpaced Team Rijas by 9-5. Rulo Trotz played brilliantly for the winning team and smashed in superb seven goals, while Nafees Barry and Daniyal Shaikh also played well and contributed with one goal each. Faisal Shehzad, Mustafa Aziz and Nazar Dean Ali Khan slammed in one goal each for Team Rijas, which had a two-goal handicap advantage. The second match of the opening day saw Diamond Paints defeating Master Paints by 9-5, thanks to superb performance by sensational Mir Shoaib Ahmed. Diamond Paints CEO Mir Shoaib Ahmed was hero of the day as he fired in four fabulous goals under the neck.  The two other notable performers were Mustafa Monnoo and Ahmed Ali Tiwana as both banged in a beautiful brace each. Lt Col Omer Minhas also played well and converted one goal. Manuel Carranza played well for Master Paints Black and thrashed in three goals while Sufi Muhammad Amir scored two goals.
