Sports Bulletin Report Pattaya (Thailand): Heavyweight Australia wheelchair tennis team outclassed low-ranked Pakistan 3-0 in the first Pool match of the BNP Paribas World Team Cup Asia Oceania Qualification competitions that started at Pattaya Thailand. In the first single, Pakistani lad Fida Hussain lost to Parker Anderson, who is currently world number 24 in ITF wheelchair tennis rankings. In straight sets 2-0, as the final score-line was just 6-0 and 6-1. Later, in the second single, world number 29 Week Benn defeated Pakistan No.1 Asif Abbasi in a similar style 2-0. Asif, who beat Indian players last year in Turkiye, failed to win even a single game. He could not join the practice session before the crucial contest against Australia owing to missing his equipment. In the Double, a duo of Australian wheelchair tennis players, Parker Anderson and Dunn Martyn beat Asif Gul Abbasi / Fida Hussain with the score-line of 6-0 and 6-0. Pakistan to participate in World Team Cup Qualification competitions
Sports Bulletin Report Pattaya (Thailand): Pakistan wheelchair tennis team comprising Asif Gul Abbasi, Fida Hussain, and Mohammad Ayub Khan along with a non-playing captain-cum-coach Mohammad Khalid Rehmani arrived at Pattaya Greta Sports Club to take part in BNP Paribas World Team Cup Asia/ Oceania Qualification competitions. As many as 8 teams from the region including Australia, China, Pakistan, India, Iraq, Korea, Sri Lanka, and host Thailand will fight for the top position, as the topper will join world teams of all regions for the final, which will take place later this year 2023 at United States of America (USA) It is pertinent to mention here that Green Shirts first time participated in this ITF wheelchair event in Antalya Turkey last year and secured 4th position in Asia, as Pakistan had defeated arch-rival India the first time in the history of tennis. Ace national wheelchair tennis lad, Asif Gul Abbasi played in ITF world Rankings tournament last week in the United Kingdom (UK) and reached the Men's Singles final and Men’s Doubles semifinal. Abbasi has been spotted at the 280 position in the World Ranking.

Sports Bulletin Report Bolton (UK): Pakistan's number one wheelchair tennis player, Asif Gul Abbasi put another feather in his cap after qualifying for the final of the ITF-II a second draw tournament that was held in Bolton, United Kingdom (UK). He made a mark in the wheelchair tennis history of Pakistan after beating a higher-ranked and top-seed player in the tournament. ITF-II a second draw tournament started on Monday and top wheelchair tennis players from around the world took part in the event. Despite facing tough competition, Abbasi showed remarkable grit and determination throughout the tournament, winning crucial matches to advance to the final. In the semi-finals, Abbasi faced the top-seeded player in the tournament, who was ranked much higher than him. However, Abbasi was not intimidated and played some outstanding tennis to secure a nerve-jangling victory in three sets contest. Asif Abbasi said in his post-match comments: "I am extremely happy to reach the final of a prestigious wheelchair tennis fixture. It was an uphill task for me but I toiled hard on the court and I was confident about producing a notable performance. Sports Bulletin Report London (UK): The Pakistan number one wheelchair tennis player, Asif Gul Abbasi will take part in a couple of international wheelchair tennis competitions, which will be rolled into action from February 17, 2023, in Bolton, United Kingdom (UK). The first tournament will be held from 17th to 19th February while the second on 21st to 24th February this year 2023. It is pertinent to mention here that Asif defeated high ranked Indian players in both Singles and Double event in the Wheelchair Tennis World Cup qualifying tournament in Antalya, Turkey. While talking to this international sports website over his mobile from London he added that the victory against traditional rival India encouraged him too much and he was toiling hard to give them tough fight in the forthcoming international wheelchair tennis events. Abbasi, 42, further said, “I won a total of three international tennis tournaments so far and I am solitary wheelchair tennis player of Pakistan, who broke into top 100 best world ranking 82 in the world in October 2018. I won 16 National series wheelchair tennis tournaments in the UK in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and was declared best player thrice in same years, “he maintained. Responding to a question, he said that he achieved these honours without any support or help from any organisation. “Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) should support me and I can win the medals in the international games including Paralympics in future. I had contacted Pakistan Paralympics and requested them to send my name for Paralympics 2020 but they did not take this seriously. Wheelchair Tennis: Malaysia qualify for World Group, Green Shirts remain 4th
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD:-Malaysia Wheelchair Tennis defeated Australia 2-1 in the final of the BNP Paribas ITF Wheelchair Tennis Qualifier Cup concluded at Megasaray Tennis Academy Antalya Turkey, Pakistan got 4th position, as they were beaten by Iraq in the third position play-off. According to an official of Pakistan Wheelchair Tennis, Malaysia after this remarkable victory have confirmed their berth in the World Group fixture, which shall be held in Portugal in May 2022. Malaysia beat Australia in the Final of Asian regions with 2-1 sets Meanwhile ITF Wheelchair medical eligibility qualifications tests were held of Pakistan team and now all Pakistani players are eligible to take part in all the international wheelchair tennis competition s including Asian Paralympic, China later this year. Mohammad Khalid Rehmani,vice president Pakistan Tennis Federation held detailed meeting with ITF Wheelchair head Alistair and Suzi ( Development officer ITF) .ITF promised to support for the Development of Wheelchair Tennis in Pakistan and will also finance a workshop to prepare a pool of qualified coaches for Wheelchair Tennis in country.

According to available information from abroad, in the first Singles, Mariappan Durai defeated Fida Hussain in straight sets 2-0 without conceding a solitary game at 6-0, 6-0 and earned vital lead 1-0 in the match. Pakistan bounced back in the match when UK based Pakistan top wheelchair guy, Asif Gul Abbasi outclassed his Indian opponent Sathasivam 2-0 without conceding a single game during the two sets.
