Blind Cricket: Islamabad and AJK claim massive victories
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: The hosts Islamabad and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) claimed massive victories in the PAF T20 Cricket Championships Trophy for the Blind 2022 at PAF Cricket Ground E-9 on Saturday. In the first match, Islamabad stunned Gujranwala by 207 runs courtesy Matiullah's 5 wickets for 7 runs. After put into bat by Gujranwala, Islamabad scored 240 for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs with top scorer Anees Javed 87 and fifties from Matiullah and Akmal. In reply, Gujranwala bowled out for only 33 runs. Matiullah was named man of the match for his 5 wickets and 58 runs. Later, the second match of the day was played between AJK and Peshawar. Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) put Peshawar into bat after winning the toss. Batting first Peshawar could only score 100 runs, Naeem Ullah was the top scorer with 24 runs. Kamran Akhtar from AJK took 5 wickets for 15 runs. In reply, AJk chased the target in 10.2 over for the loss of 1 wicket. Kamran Akhtar scored 41 not out runs and declared man of the match. On Sunday, two matches will be played, first match will be played between Gujranwala and Peshawar while in the second match Islamabad will face AJK at the same venue.

Blind Cricket T20: AJK and Islamabad claim victories
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) and hosts Islamabad registered victories in the PAF T20 Cricket Championship Trophy for the Blind 2022 that started at Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Base Islamabad at PAF Cricket Ground E-9 Islamabad. Air Commodore Sohail Akbar TI(M),Base Commander, PAF Base Islamabad graced the opening ceremony as chief guest. Also, chairman, Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) Syed Sultan Shah and Bilal Ahmed Satti were present on this occasion.  In the first match, AJK outclassed Gujranwala by 9 wickets. In allotted 15 overs Gujranwala scored 111 for the loss of 5 wickets. Mohammad Akram was the top scorer with 27 runs from Gujranwala while Faisal, Kamran and Mehtab took one wicket each. In reply, Kashmir easily chased the target in 8.5 overs with brisk knocked of 56 by Tehsin who was named man of the match. Later on, in the second match, Peshawar batting first scored 134 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, Mohsin was the top scorer with 38 runs. Anees and Matiullah from Islamabad took 2 wickets each. In reply Islamabad chased the target in 14 over for the loss of 4 wickets. Syed Kashan scored splendid 58 not out runs and awarded man of the match. Two matches will be played on Saturday, first match will be played between Gujranwala and Islamabad while in the second match Peshawar will face AJK at the same venue.

PAF National T20 Blind Cricket Champions Trophy to start on Friday
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: PAF National T20 Blind Cricket Champions Trophy will start from Friday (December 30, 2022) at PAF cricket ground under the banner of Islamabad Cricket Club of the Blind in collaboration with Pakistan Air Force (PAF). According to an official of Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC), the final will be played on January 2, 2023 at the same venue. Four teams across the country including Peshawar, Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), Gujranwala & Islamabad will participate in this mega event. The Inaugural ceremony of the event will be held at PAF Complex E-9 Islamabad on 30 December 2022 at 1100 am. Air Commodore Sohail Akbar TI (M), Base Commander, PAF Base Islamabad will grace the occasion as chief guest. On first day, two matches will be played, as the first match will be played between AJK and Gujranwala while in the second match host Islamabad will face Peshawar at the same venue.

World Blinds Cricket awards T-20 World Cup to host in 2024
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will host the 4th T 20 Blind Cricket World Cup 2024, as the 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of World Blind Cricket decided in Bangalore on December 16, 2022. President World Blinds Cricket (WBC) Syed Sultan Shah President presided over the meeting through video link, as he was not granted a visa to visit India along with the team to participate in the 3rd edition of T20 Blind Cricket World Cup 2022. Pakistan has been awarded the hosting of the 4th Edition of T-20 World Cup Cricket of the Blind to be held in Pakistan from November 18 to December 3, 2024. The final of event will be held on 3rd December to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, 2024. According to Pakistan Blinds Cricket Council (PBCC) press release, the World Blind Cricket Ltd unanimously has passed a resolution to regret the Indian government’s insensitivity in refusing Pakistan tem visas on political grounds, in the ongoing Blind Cricket T-20 World taking place in India from 5th to 17th December 2022. WBC is of the view that Pakistan is currently top ranked T-20 Blind Cricket team and the Indian Government’s insensitivity has deprived Pakistan to exercise equal rights to take part and win this title. Visa denial on political grounds has caused an irreparable loss to World Blind Cricket Ltd in particular and Global Blind Cricket in general because 7 times World Cup finalist team (Pakistan) was a serious contender to win the subject world title. WBC urged the states that Sports should be kept above regional politics and particularly the Special Persons mega sports events would be treated fairly and all teams must be given equal chances to compete in the event. Most States have ratified United Nations Charter for Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) which induces States to provide equal sports playing opportunities to Persons with Disabilities so this charter should be implemented in letter and spirit. The elections of the Executive Committee of World Blind Cricket Ltd were also held during the AGM. Nine (9) out of Ten (10) full member countries’ representatives participated in this meeting. Syed Sultan Shah has been elected unopposed as the President of WBCL for the term of the next two years 2022-24. Syed Sultan Shah is the Chairman of the Pakistan Blind Cricket Council and remained the President of World Blind Cricket thrice earlier from 2012-2014, 2014-2016 & 2020-22. This is his 4th term in this premiere role. The newly elected Executive Committee of World Blind Cricket Ltd comprises the following. National Physical Disability T20 Cricket Championship 2022
Bahawalpur PD defeat Karachi PD by 7 wickets in a one-sided fixture Sports Bulletin Report KARACHI: Defending champions Bahawalpur PD continued their winning streak by defeating the hosts Karachi PD by seven wickets after an easy and one-sided contest in the first league match of the second phase of the National physical Disability T20 Cricket Championship at Rashid Latif Cricket Academy Cricket Ground Gulberg on Tuesday. Bahawalpur won the toss and invited Karachi to bat first. Karachi scored 134 runs for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs. Umar Farooq scored 55 runs off 48 balls with the help of three fours and three sixes, while Sadiq Shah scored 35 runs with three fours and two sixes on 25 balls. Abid Hussain and Abdul Khaliq took one wicket each for Bahawalpur. In response, Bahawalpur Disabled reached the target by losing three wickets in 16.5 overs. Mohammad Nauman scored a magnificent half-century of 54 runs off 37 balls with the help of seven fours. Abid Hussain scored 38 runs off 25 balls with the help of four fours while skipper Mohammad Shahzad scored 14 runs. Haroon Rasheed took one wicket for Karachi PD. General Secretary Amiuddin Ansari gave Bahawalpur PD Mohammad Nauman and special guest DSP Sindh Polls Javed Malik to Man of the Match Cash Award of 1000 rupees to Multan's Zubair Saleem. Nabil Akhtar, Zia Shamim, Jameel Kamran were also present on this occasion. In the second match, Quetta won the toss and batted first and the whole team scored 114 runs in 19 overs. Jamin Shah scored 68 runs off 35 balls of aggressive batting with the help of five sixes and four fours. Zubair Saleem was the top scorer. He took seven wickets for 9 runs. In response, Multan PD achieved the required target of 115 runs in 14 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Ghulam Mohammad scored an aggressive 34 runs off 19 balls with the help of seven fours while Abdul Manan scored 20 runs. Ali Bakhsh took three wickets by giving 21 runs. During the interval, the chief guest, Sindh Police Cricket Captain  Turab Hussain, introduced the two teams while he also watched the match for a while General Secretary PDC and Auran Tournament Amiruddin Ansari, Regional Head Multan and Bahawalpur Jameel Kamran were also present on this occasion.

India refuses visas to Pakistan Blind Team to participate in T-20 World Cup
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD: India has refused to grant visas to Pakistan Blinds cricket, which had to participate in the T 20 Blinds Cricket World Cup 2022, which has been started in three cities of India from December 5. According to an official of the Pakistan Blinds’ Cricket Council (PBCC), Pakistan was a serious contender to win the World Cup as Pakistan has been the runners-up twice in the earlier two editions of this format of World Cups (2012 & 2017) and has beaten the current T-20 World Champion India five (5) times consecutively in the last five encounters during two Tri-Nation competitions in 2021 and 2022 and won both events. As per the available information, the Ministry of External Affairs India has denied Pakistan blind cricket clearance on political grounds. PBCC strongly condemned this discriminating act of India as sports authorities. Special persons’ mega sports events should be treated fairly and all teams must be given equal chances to compete in the event. Our counterpart Blind Cricket Association in India pleaded with their government for Pakistan clearance but nothing was heard.

National Physical Disability Cricket Championship starts from December 3
Sports Bulletin Report KARACHI (December 1, 2022): The 8th addition of the National Physical Disability Cricket Championship 2022 will start simultaneously in 6 cities on the occasion of the International Day for Persons Day on 3rd December. International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Communication Officer Younis Alam, PCB representative Arshad Khan, General Secretary, Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PPDCA) revealed this in a press briefing. General Secretary and Tournament Director Amiruddin Ansari and PPDCA Supporter Syed Tauseef Shah and Social Person Madam Abida Khanum addressed the press conference of 8th Physical Disability National T20 Cricket Championship at National Stadium Karachi on Thursday. PPDCA General Secretary and Tournament Director Amiruddin Ansari while explaining the details of the National Disability T20 Cricket Championship said that the 8th National Championship would be started on December 3rd, Saturday, on the occasion of the International Day for Persons with Disabilities, simultaneously in six cities of the country, as the 16 teams of the cities will take part in the championship. The first round of knockout matches will be played in Karachi, in which Karachi, Hyderabad, Quetta and Quetta will participate in Bolan. The remaining round matches will be held in Multan, Lahore KPK, Islamabad, and FATA. In the second phase, the matches will be played in Karachi and Multan on league basis. Both the semi-finals and the final of the National Championship will be played in Karachi.

Pakistan ready to strike on India in T20 Blinds World Cup on December 7

Besides hosts India, Pakistan, Australia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and South Africa will be contesting for the title, as the final will be played December 17 in Bangalore. In the second edition, India had defeated Pakistan in the final. PBCC announces 17-man squad for T20 World Blind Cricket Cup
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD: The 3-member Selection Committee of Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) comprised head coach Mohammad Jameel, coach Mahar Yousaf Haroon and trainer Tahir Butt on Wednesday has announced the 17 players squad for the upcoming T20 World Blinds Cricket Cup, which will be held in India from December 4 to 17 in three different cities. Chairman PBCC, Syed Sultan Shah has approved the team list. Wicketkeeper batsman Nisar Ali will be the captain of the Pakistan team. Two players will be reserves with the squad. Team officials also named for the mega cricket showpiece of the blind cricket. NBP T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2022: Okara lift title
Okara beat hosts Bahawalpur by 8 wickets to become champion Sports Bulletin Report BAHAWALPUR: Okara outclassed hosts Bahawalpur by 8 wickets in the final of the 13th National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2022 (Grade-1) at Dring stadium here on Saturday. Okara won the toss and put Bahawalpur into bat. Bahawalpur lost the devastating opener Mohammad Rashid early, as he could score only 1 run. Mohammad Zafar also fell without opening his account. Moeen Aslam tried to rescue Bahawalpur but he also got out after scoring 30 runs. Mohammad Ejaz’s 36 runs and Mohammad Shahzaib’s innings of 32 runs helped Bahawalpur to reach a respectable total. Hosts were bowled out after posting 183 runs on the board in 19.4 overs. Badar Munir and Neematullah took 2 wickets each. In reply, Okara played exceptionally well and chased the target of 184 runs in just 17.3 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Badar Munir again played a superb innings of unbeaten 99 runs off 52 balls featuring 13 (4’s) and 1 huge six whereas Neematullah chipped in with 56 runs. Usman was the only bowler from Bahawalpur to claim a wicket. Badar Munir got man of the match award.
