CRICKET - Blinds 20 Dec, 2019

Day-2: Multan, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Abbottabad claim victories
Abdullah Asjad ISLAMABAD:-Multan, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Abbottabad claimed victories in the ongoing National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2019(Grade-2) after beating their respective opponents at Attock Cricket Stadium Attock. Match 1: Multan Vs Quetta: Quetta won the toss and decided to bowl first. Multan batted well and made 256 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in stipulated 20 Overs. Mohammad Safdar was in the form of his life and scored another century, he made unbeaten 179 runs off 74balls. Abdul Razzaq made 48 runs. Quettain in reply, managed to score 204 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Abdul Rasheed made 41 runs not out while Qaisar made 34 runs. Ghulam Akbar took 2 wickets. Shahbaz and Safdar claimed a wicket a piece. Result:Multan won by 52 runs Man of the Match:Muhammad Safdar Match 2: Attock Vs Sargodha: In the morning, Attock won on the toss and decided to bat first. Sargodha bowling didn’t allow Attock batsmen to bat fluently. Their last match hero Ahtesham was bowled cheaply just on 15 runs, Bilal Sarwar played innings of 49 runs maintained their scoring rate. Attock finished at 211 runs on the board for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. The other prominent scorer was Zeeshan with 32 runs. Abdullah was the pick amongst the bowlers, he took 3 wickets and Tanveer claimed 2 wickets. Sargodha in reply, chased the target in the 17 overs for the loss of 1 wicket. Gul Sheer again shined with the bat, he remained unbeaten on 100 runs off 58 balls. Zain got out after scoring 57 runs. Result: Sargodha won by 9 wickets Man of the Match:Gul Sheer Match 3: Faisalabad vs Sheikhopura: Sheikopura won the toss and decided to bat first. Sheikopura made 204 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Abdul Sattar played beautifully for his 87 runs off 56 balls while the veteran Ashraf Bhatti made 62 runs off 48 balls.  Usman Ali was the only bowler to claim a wicket for Faisalabad. In reply, Faisalabad chased the target in 13.3 overs for the loss of 1 wicket. Muhammad Ijaz made 75 off 42 balls and Bilal Ali made 71 off 27 balls.   Result: Faisalabad won by 9 wickets Man of the Match:Bilal Ali Match 4. Abbottabad Vs Hyderabad: Hyderabad won the toss and decided to bat first. Hyderabad was bowled out on 122 runs in 14.1 Overs. Obaid Ullah Was their top scorer with 24 runs. Riasat Khan took 3 wickets for 10 runs in his 3 overs. Naeem Ullah picked 2 wickets. Abbottabad in reply, chased the target just on 5.3 overs without any loss. Riasat Khan made 58 runs off 15 balls and Naeem Ullah also made 58 runs off 18 balls. Result: Abbottabd won by 10 wickets Man of the Match:Riasat Khan

Day-1, NBP T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2019 (Grade-2), Attock
Abdullah Asjad ISLAMABAD:-National Bank of Pakistan T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy (Grade-2) commenced at Attock Cricket Stadium, Attock on Wednesday. Ali Hanan Qamar Deputy Commissioner Attock, Akhtar Munir, Regional Head National Bank of Pakistan, Syed Sultan Shah, Chairman Pakistan Blind Cricket Council inaugurated the event. 1st match of the event was played between Attock and Abbottabad. Attock won the toss and decided to bat first. On wet conditions, batting first after winning the toss was a brave move and as fortune favors the brave so do with Attock. Their openers Ahtesham and Muhammad Bilal flatten the Abbottabad bowling and piled up huge total of 286 runs without any loss in allotted 20 overs. Ahtesham made unbeaten 150 runs off 74 balls and Bilal made 87 runs not out off 60 balls. Abbottabad in reply made only 212 for the loss of 4 wickets.  Riasat Khan remained top scorer with 96 runs. Mohammad Sohail was the only bowler to pick wicket. Result: Attock won by 74 runs Man of the Match: Ahtesham ul Haq Game-2 Quetta won the toss and decided to bowl first. Faisalabad posted 213 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in stipulated 20 Overs. Ijaz Ali was their star with 104 runs off (57 balls) and Bilal Hasan made 38 runs. Abdul Rasheed was the only bowler to claim a wicket. Quetta in reply chased the target in 19th  over of the innings for the loss of 4 wickets.  Nemat Ullah Khan made unbeaten 86 runs and Abdul Rasheed made 49 runs not out. Noman, Sanaullah and Danish Ali claimed a wicket a piece. Result: Quetta won by 6 wickets Man of the Match: Nemat Ullah Khan Game-3: Sargodha won the toss and decided to bowl first. Hyderabad made 180 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Amjad made 66 runs. Sargodha in reply chased down the target rapidly in just 8 overs without any loss. Gul Sheer’s bat sung wildly and smashed unbeaten 108 runs off just 38 balls. Zain was the other batter to remain unbeaten on 43 runs. Result: Sargodha won by 10 wickets Man of the Match: Gul Sheer Game-4: Multan won the toss and decided to bat first. Multan batsmen smashed 301 runs in stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Muhammad Safdar played brilliantly and made 115 runs off 40 balls, Hafiz Abdul Razzaq scored 52 runs off 24 balls and Akbar made 61 off 31 balls. Sheikopura in reply made 172 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in stipulated 20 Overs. Iman Ullah was their best scorer with 41 runs.  Abdul Razzaq took 2 wickets while Akbar, Shahbaz and Saleem claimed a wicket each Result: Multan won by 129 runs                Man of the Match: Muhammad Safdar

Blind Cricket, NBP T20 Grade II starts from Wednesday
By Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD:-NBP T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2019 Grade II will start from Monday (December 18, 2019) and Grade I from December 25 in two different cities Attock and Bahawalpur respectively. According to an official, Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) is organizing National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Twenty 20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2019 Grade I and Grade II, which will be held in Bahawalpur and Attock separately from December 25 to 29 and December 18 to 22 respectively. Sports In-charge NBP Iqbal Qasim, SVP/DH CSRD NBP Iqbal Wahid, AVP CSRD NBP Asif Ahmed Khan and Director Marketing PBCC Syed Salman Bokhari, Wing Head Media publication NBP Ibne Hasan and Director Information and Coordination Asif Azeem addressed the media at a local hotel on Monday. Jehangir Manager (CSRD) NBP and Junaid Iqbal Officer (CSRD) NBP were also present on the occasion. On this occasion former Test cricketer Iqbal Qasim said that cricket was the most celebrated game in Pakistan. "Blind cricket in Pakistan has been recording phenomenal achievements after winning two Cricket World Cups and numerous international bilateral series, "he added. Meanwhile, Iqbal Wahid said that NBP had been very much interested in promotion of sports in Pakistan and been funding the game development at grass-root levels. “NBP is sponsoring T20 Blind Cricket Trophy for last 10 years and will continue its support in future too,” he said. Syed Salman Bokhari thanked NBP on sponsoring one event of blind cricket once in a calendar year and said that this initiative helped in the promotion of cricket for the blind across the country and this is reckoned as the largest domestic event of blind cricket as 16 teams are participating in the event.He informed that Grade-2 champion will be promoted to Grade-1 while last team on points table in Grade-1 will be relegated to Grade-2. At the end of the press briefing, the officials of NBP presented a sponsorship cheque Rs1.1 million for the two Grade I and II events.

Blind Cricket T-20, Pakistan outclass England by 8 wickets
SB Report AJMAN (November 13, 2019):-Pakistan Blind Cricket Team defeated England by 8 wickets in the 2nd International T-20, which was played today at Ajman Oval Cricket Ground, Ajman on Wednesday.  In the morning, once again Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. Pakistan’s moral with the yesterday victory was high. England top order again failed and Pakistani bowlers, bowled with some serious pace and variation and didn’t allow England middle order to settle in. Badar’s fiery spell left England wobbling at 59 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in first 10 overs. Badar took 3 wickets for 24 runs. Dan Field got out after scoring 5 runs, Sam Murray made 21 runs, Andy Powers and Peter Bulliet couldn’t open their accounts, Hollingsworth scored 5, Nathan Foy was caught at 8 runs, Ed Hossell the English Captain made 18 runs, Ameen sustained for his 14 runs, Jimmy went back to pavilion after making 2 runs, Josh Black scored 6 runs not out and England top scorer was Nathan Jamson, he remained unbeaten on 20 runs. England posted 132 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. The other wickets takers for Pakistan were Sajid Nawaz and Mohammad Shahzaib, they took 1 wicket each. Pakistan while chasing, lost two early wickets for 16 runs on the board. Sanaullah was caught by wicket keeper after scoring 6 runs while Zafar Iqbal was stumped without opening his account on the very next ball. Jimmy Millard was the bowler who took 2 wickets in one over. Two quick wickets gave England hope to pull things back, but the unbeaten 3rd wicket partnership of 118 runs by Anees Javed and Mohsin Khan turned the table on England. Pakistan hurried to target of 133 runs in just 13.1 overs for the loss of 2 wickets.  Anees Javed made unbeaten 55* runs and Mohsin Khan scored 50*. Pakistan is leading the 6 Match T-20 series by 2-0. The 3rd T20 International will be played under flood lit lights tomorrow at the same ground. Neil Bradshaw, the Disability Operations Manager England and Wales Cricket Board, was the guest of the occasion and gave away man of the match award. Blind Cricket Pakistan beat England with 9 wickets
SB Report ISLAMABAD:-Pakistan Blind cricket team defeated England by 9 wickets in the first Twenty 20 cricket fixture at Oval Cricket Ground Ajman, United Arabs Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday. Ahmed Amjad Ali, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai officially inaugurated the series. Before the match, both teams kept one-minute silence in condolence to the sad demise of Anees Javed (Pakistan Team’s former Captain and current player) father who died few days ago. Anees, despite the harsh bolt from the blue joined the team in U.A.E to execute his national duty. In the morning, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first. Muhammad Shahzaib Totally Blind B1 player made his debut. Syed Sultan Shah Chairman PBCC and Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai gave him the debut cap. Pakistani bowlers didn’t allow the English batsmen to play at will. Tight bowling toppled the English batsmen and their wickets kept falling in regular intervals. England team made only 137 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Peter Bullet and Justin Hollingsworth were their best run getters, they scored 34 runs each. Shahzaib Hyder took 2 wickets, Mohisn Khan, Haroon Khan claimed a wicket a piece. Mohammad Shahzaib the debutant made his impact straight away and bowled England’s dangerous Nathan Foy cheaply. Target of 138 runs, remained a plain ceiling for Pakistani batsmen, Pakistan chased the target in 12.1 overs for the loss of 1 wicket. Muhammad Rashid hit 61 runs off 37 balls and Haroon Khan made 26 runs, he was hit wicket on the bowling on Nathan Foy. Riasat Khan remained unbeaten on 16* runs. Stefan the Chairman of International Deaf Cricket Council was the guest of the occasion and gave away man of the match award. Pakistan blind cricket team arrives Dubai
SB Report Dubai (November 10, 2019):-Pakistan and England Blind Cricket Teams arrived in Dubai on Sunday to play a bilateral Blind Cricket series. Pakistan Blind Cricket Council is hosting the home series at neutral venue United Arabs Emirates (UAE) comprising 6 T-20 Internationals. Syed Sultan Shah, Chairman Pakistan Blind Cricket Council welcomed the English team by presenting the traditional flower bouquet. England Team Captain Ed Hossell while talking to the media told that “England Team is well prepared for this series and has done good practice in last few months. Pakistan is a tough opponent and one of the best sides in the World of Blind Cricket. He added Pakistan Team strength is their batting and we have good bowling and fielding unit to restrict them.” John Cook, the Coach of England Blind Cricket Team said in his presser that “They have the combination of young and experienced players, and confident that team is fit to take on the Pakistan side”. Pakistan Blind Cricket Team also arrived in hotel in U.A.E. Nisar Ali Captain of Pakistan Blind Cricket Team was poised to show better results in series. He said “we shall try to give delight to our people whom has been disappointed due to awful performance of   Pakistan’s main stream Cricket Team in recent T-20 matches Vs Sri Lanka and Australia” “We are here to play good cricket and well prepared for this exciting series” Muhammad Jamil, Coach of Pakistan Team said “Pakistan Team is a formidable unit and we trained them hard in the recent conditioning camps, players are eager to perform and ambitious to win”. Syed Sultan Shah, Chairman PBCC, thanked England Blind Cricket Team for the tour and wished to have a pleasant stay here.

Disable Cricket, Islamabad overcome Abbottabad by just 2 runs
SB Report ISLAMABAD-Islamabad Disable cricket team defeated Abbottabad Disables by only 2 runs in a friendly tie on Tuesday. Islamabad’s captain, Usman Paracha won the toss and elected to bat first. At one stage, Islamabad disables were 41/9, than Usman Ali and Mohammad Afzal score 27 valuable runs and set a target 69 to win for Abbottabad disable cricket team. Adil Abbasi 13, Ali Abbassi 14 and Mohammad Afzal scored 7 runs. Aftab took 3 wickets while Hussain, Rajwali and Hammayun took two wickets each Fawad took one wicket. In reply, Abbottabad disable cricket team 66 all out in 19th over. Salam and Hammayun scored 17 runs each Hussain scored 10 runs. Waqaf Shah and Ali Abbass took 4 wickets each and Hammad Shoukat took two wickets. The chief guest Assistant commissioner Chota Lahore  Tabinda Tariq distributed the prizes among the players. He appreciated the efforts and promote sports activities and especially for these special brave people of our society. We are especially thankful to sports officer Sawabi Tariq Mohammad for making this beautiful event successful.

PBCC announces four member committee
  Abdullah Asjad ISLAMABAD-The Chairman, Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC), Syed Sultan Shah on Monday nominated an Executive Committee of Islamabad Regional Women Blind Cricket Association. The Executive Committee has been nominated for the term of next two years for the development and promotion of Women Blind Cricket in Islamabad Region. The operational area of the Islamabad Regional Association will be Federal Area, KPK, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu Kashmir and Rawalpindi Division. Pakistan Blind Cricket Council will form two more Regional Women Blind Cricket Associations named Lahore Regional Women Blind Cricket Association and Karachi Women Blind Cricket Association soon for the development & promotion of Women Blind Cricket in those areas. PBCC as a Pilot Project commenced the Cricket for the visually impaired girls last year (2018), thereafter conducted several Training Camps; icing on the cake was hosting the 1st International Women Blind Cricket Series against Nepal in January-February next year 2020. Now PBCC has decided to constitute Regional Women Blind Cricket Associations for the development of the game at grass-roots level. Executive Committee is comprising Sadaf Huma Haider (president), Sadia Dastagir (vice president), Shahida Shaheen (finance secretary) and Nirma Arif (public relation).
