AS Ali Trophy 2021: KPK and Balochistan outclass opponents

Faisalabad (October 29, 2021):-Khyber PakhtunKawa and Balochistan have won their matches in the ongoing AS Ali Blind Cricket Trophy 2021 after beating Punjab and Sindh respectively seven and five wickets in Faisalabad on Friday.
KPK Vs Punjab:
Venue: Cricket Ground of Sports Complex Chak No 8 Faisalabad
In the morning KPK won the toss and decided to bowl first. KPK bowlers bowled exceptionally well and didn’t allow Punjab batsmen to set a good target. The Punjab team was bowled out on 331 runs in 39.1 overs. The veteran Mohammad Akram was the highest scorer with 193 runs (off 132 balls) and Moaeen Aslam made 47 runs (off 35 balls). Haseen Ullah and Idrees Saleem took 2 wickets each while Nisar Ali fetched 1 wicket.
The target of 332 runs wasn’t proved tough to the strong batting lineup of KPK and they chased down quite easily in 32 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Sana Ullah Khan shined with the bat and played a superb innings of unbeaten 128 not out runs (off 78 balls) while Shahzeb Haider was the second highest scorer with unbeaten 97 not out runs (off 71 balls). Mohammad Numan, Mohammad Akram and Yasir Malik took 1 wicket each.
Result: KPK won by 7 wickets

Balochistan Vs Sindh
Venue: Boranwali Cricket Ground Faisalabad
Balochistan won the toss and asked Sindh to take guard. Sindh posted a competitive total of 411 runs on the board for the loss of 4 wickets in allotted 40 overs. Badar Munir played a superb inning of 222 runs (off 135 balls) and Mohammad Rashid scored unbeaten 72 not out runs (off 38 balls). Israr Hassan and Husnain Shah shared a wicket each.
Balochistan reached the target in 40th over of the inning for the loss of 5 wickets. Zafar Iqbal played a captain’s innings and he scored brilliant 112 not out runs (off 69 balls) helping his side to beat Sindh by 5 wickets. Faisal Mehmood scored a dazzling 90 runs (off 66 balls). Mohammad Shahzeb and Ehtisham ul Haq claimed 1 wicket each.
Result: Balochistan won by 5 wickets

ISLAMABAD (October 28, 2021):-Khyber PakhtunKawa and Sindh have won their matches in the AS Ali Blind Cricket Trophy 2021 after beating their opponents on Thursday at Faisalabad. Col (Rtd) Ijaz Ahmed Nasir, Special Assistant to Chairman Interloop Ltd inaugurated the event. He was accompanied by Syed Sultan Shah, Chairman Pakistan Blind Cricket Council.
Results (Day-1):
Islamabad-AJK Vs KPK: (Venue: Boranwali Cricket Ground Faisalabad)
1st Match of the event was played between Islamabad-AJK and KPK. KPK won the toss and decided to bowl first.
Islamabad-AJK scored competitive 366 runs in stipulated 40 overs by losing their 6 wickets. Mohammad Salman played excellent innings of 90 runs (off 77 balls) and Anees Javed made unbeaten 82* runs (off 54 balls). Shahzeb Haider took 1 wicket.
KPK in reply chased down the target in 35 overs for the loss of 1 wicket. Nisar Ali played a captain’s knock and he made outstanding 213* runs (off 120 balls) helped his side to beat Islamabad-AJK by 9 wickets. Mohammad Talha scored 109 runs (off 76 balls). Ejaz Hussain claimed 1 wicket.
Result: KPK won by 9 Wickets
Man of the Match: Nisar Ali
Sindh Vs Punjab (Venue: Cricket Ground of Sports Complex Chak No 8 Faisalabad)
Sindh won the toss and asked Punjab to take guard. Punjab made par score of 331 runs by losing 9 wickets in allotted 40 overs. Muhammad Akram was the top scorer for his side with 80 runs off (53 balls), Atiq ur Rehman chipped in with 72 runs (off 74 balls). Amjad Hussain claimed 2 wickets while Badar Munir, Muhammad Safdar, Muhammad Rashid and Riasat Khan took 1 wicket each.
Sindh reached the target in 36.3 overs by losing their 4 wickets. Mohammad Rashid played wonderful inning of 86 runs (off 68 balls) and Riasat Khan scored brilliant 80 runs (off 59 balls). Mohammad Akram took 2 wickets while Sajid Nawaz and Kamil shared a wicket each.
Result: Sindh won by 6 Wickets

Bilal Satti becomes president ICCB

ISLAMABAD (October 22, 2021):-Bilal Satti became the president of Islamabad Cricket Club for Blind (ICCB), as the elections of the seven members executive committee held in Islamabad at the Auditorium of Youth Hostel Islamabad.
According t press release of ICCB, five members were elected unopposed. Bilal Satti President , Naveed Hussain Abbasi General Secretary, Tahir Butt Treasurer and Taimoor Imran Ali Khan as PRO while Tanveer Ahmed was elected as Vice President with a convincing margin of 21votes against Mohammad Javed's 13 votes.
Two executive Members Anis Javed and Mohammad Awais were also elected after voting. This Executive Committee of Islamabad Cricket Club of the Blind is elected for a period of next three years 2021-2024.
Kashmir win the title of PAF T20 Blind Cricket Champions Trophy

ISLAMABAD (October 19, 2021):- Kashmir have lifted the title of PAF T20 Cricket Champions Trophy for Blinds after beating hosts Islamabad by 11 runs in the final at E-9 cricket ground on Tuesday.
Islamabad won the toss and elected to bowl first. Kashmir scored 220 for the loss of four wickets. Nisar was the top scorer with 108 runs. In reply, Islamabad could score 209 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Kashmir won the final by 11 runs. Ayub Khan scored 88 runs. Nisar Ali was awarded player of the match.
In closing ceremony Chief Guest Air Commodore Mutahir Ul Islam SI (M) Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Admin) distributed Trophies and Prizes among the players. Idreess from Ajk was best player in B1 Catagory, Anis Javed from Islamabad was best player in B2 and Mohammad Akram from Gujranwala was best player in B3 Category. Atiq ur Rehman from Gujranwala declared best wicket keeper of the tournament.
PAF Blind Cricket: Islamabad and Kashmir secure place in the final

ISLAMABAD (October 18, 2021):-Hosts Islamabad and Kashmir secured their place in the final of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) T20 Cricket Champions Trophy after beating Gujranwala and Peshawar respectively at E-9 cricket ground on Monday.
In the first match, Kashmir won the toss and elected to bat first. Kashmir scored 219 for the loss of two wickets. Nisar scored unbeaten 92 runs. In replyPpeshawar team could score 213 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 3 wickets, as Kashmir won by 6 runs and qualified for the final.
While in the second match, Islamabad after winning the toss elected to bat first and second 176 runs in allotted 18 overs. Ayub khan was the top scorer with 78 runs. In reply, Gujranwala bold out on 138 runs in 17.3 overs. Aanis from Islamabad took 2 wickets. Hosts Islamabad won the match by 38 runs and qualified for the final.
The final of the PAF T20 Cricket Champions Trophy for the blind 2021will be played between Kashmir and Islamabad at PAF Cricket Ground E-9 Islamabad on Tuesday. The closing ceremony will held at 1230Hrs at same venue.
Blind Cricket T20: Kashmir and Peshawar claim triumphs

ISLAMABAD (October 17, 2021):-Kashmir and Peshawar claimed victories against Islamabad by 33 runs and Gujranwala by 5 runs respectively in the ongoing PAF T20 Cricket Championship for Blind at E 9 cricket ground on Sunday.
In the first match of the day, Kashmir scored 204 for 5 runs in their 20 overs innings, as Mohammad Faisal was main contributors with 81 runs. In reply hosts Islamabad could reach at score of 171 for five in 20 overs. Faisal was declared man of the match.
In the second match, Peshawar posted 202 for 7 runs on the board, as the Gujranwala could score 197 for 3 runs in 20 overs per innings fixture. Haroon Khan scored 56 runs for winners while Mohammad Akram scored 120 runs for Gujranwala. Haroon got man of the match award.

Blind Cricket T20: Gujranwala and Islamabad register victories

ISLAMABAD (October 16, 2021):-Gujranwala and Islamabad blind’s cricket teams registered the victories on the open day of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) T20 Blind’s Cricket Trophy 2021 after beating Kashmir by 43 runs and Peshawar 20 runs respectively at E-9 cricket ground on Saturday.
Air Commodore, Zulfiqar Ali graced the opening ceremony as chief guest. In the first fixture, Gujranwala scored 153 for 7 in allotted 20 overs, as Mohammad Atiq was top scorer with 36. Kashmir team could score only 110 runs and lost their all batters.
Meanwhile, in the second match, hosts Islamabad beat Peshawar by 20 runs, as Islamabad set a target of 241 runs in 20 overs. Mohammad Ayub hit a brilliant ton (107) and declared man of the match. In reply, Peshawar could score 221 for runs in 20 overs.

Pakistan beat India by 58 runs in Triangular Blind Cricket fixture

DHAKA (April 3, 2021):-Pakistan Blind’s Cricket Team outclassed traditional foes India by 58 runs in the opening match of Triangular Blind Cricket Series at Bashundhara Sports Complex, Dhaka, Bangladesh on Saturday. Pakistan will meet hosts Bangladesh in the next match on Sunday.
Ajay Reddy Captain of the Indian Blind Cricket Team won the toss and elected to bowl first. The decision proved right; as Pakistani opener, Mohammad Rashid was bowled on the 2nd ball of the innings without scoring a run. Zafar Iqbal didn’t last long also, he made only 6 runs. Pakistan was hovering at 15 for 2, thereafter Nisar Ali and Moain Aslam knitted a partnership of 59 runs to put the innings back on track. Nisar and Moain were dismissed after scoring 33 and 30 runs respectively. Badar Munir was sent down the order to attack on opponent bowlers. He proved his class by scoring a fiery 50 off just 27 balls with the help of 4 big sixes.
Pakistan finished the innings with 185 runs on the board for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Reddy was the pick amongst the Indian bowlers, he picked 2 wickets for 24 runs.
India started their chase well and kept the scoring rate well in their reach, but the wicket of Venkatesh opened the gate for Pakistan bowlers to run through Indian batting lineup. Venkatesh was dismissed by Anees Javed after scoring 16 runs. The B1 bowlers (totally Blind Bowlers), who have to bowl minimum 40% of the overs (in T-20 minimum 8 overs) changed the course of the match in the favor of Pakistan team with economical bowling. The rookie, Mohammad Shahzaib, only 18 years old, who was playing his first match against India, took 2 wickets in his 4 overs spell by giving away only 13 runs. India made 127 runs in their 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. Badar Munir was declared man of the match. Tomorrow Pakistan will take on Bangladesh. The match will start at 2:00 PM local time.
National Blind Cricket squad announced for Tri-Nation Series

ISLAMABAD (March 5, 2021):-The selection committee of Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) headed by Mohammad Bilal Satti on Friday named 15-man squad for the upcoming Tri-nation series, scheduled to be held in Bangladesh from April 2to 8, this year 2021. Masood Jan and Ibrar Shah were other two members of selection committee that announced the national team after the approval of Chairman PBCC, Syed Sultan Shah.
Committee also picked up four reserves players for the said series. Team is a blend of seniors and juniors guys. Two new players have been inducted in the side including Mohammad Safdar, an emerging B3 player from the far-flung area of Dera Ghazi Khan and Mohammed Tehsin, a B1 player from Mirpur Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). All four reserve players are also featuring for the first time in the national side. Niamat Ullah and Naseeb Ullah are from Quetta, while Akmal Hayat is from Islamabad and Ahtesham ul Haq is from Attock.
