In the boys U-16 quarterfinals: Ruhab Faisal beat Abdur Rehman 6-0, 3-6, 6-3, Aalay Hussain beat Hanzla Anwar 6-0, 6-1, Amir Mazari beat Mohammad Huzaima 6-0, 6-1 and Mohammad Yahya beat Abdullah Pirzada 6-2, 6-3. In the boys U-14 pre-quarterfinals: Abdur Rehman beat M Ayan Khan 4-2, 4-2, Awais Zia beat Ahmad Khuda Bakhsh 2-4, 4-2, 4-2, Zayd Zaman beat M Umer Ali 4-0, 4-2, Mohammad Junaid beat Zayd Mansoor 4-2, 5-3, Mohammad Huzaima beat Aliyan Ali 4-2, 4-2. Japan win top position while India earn second position in a 16-nation fixtureSports Bulletin ReportKuching (Malaysia): The Pakistan team comprising Jawad Omer, Talha Abubakar, and Mohammad Hamza Ali Rizwan got the 6th position in the Asia /Oceania WJT Under-14 final qualifying event, which was held in Kuching Malaysia from March 25 to 30, 2024. Heera Ashiq was with the team as non-playing captain.As many as 16 countries of the region participated in the 6-day World Junior Tennis (WJT) fixture. Japan won the top position while Indian players remained on the second stop. Jawad Omer, and Talha Abubakar produced some notable performances in the international event.

ISLAMABAD (PR): The first General Council Meeting of the Islamabad Tennis Association (ITA) was held on March 25, 2024, at here Islamabad Club, chaired by Tariq Mehmood Murtaza, Chairman and President of Islamabad Tennis Association. All the affiliated units of the ITA were present in the meeting except the representative of Islamabad Tennis Complex.The meeting was convened by the stipulations outlined in the Constitution of the Islamabad Tennis Association, with the primary objective of establishing the Management Committee and enhancing the operational cohesion between the Islamabad Tennis Association, its affiliated units, and the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF).In light of Tariq Murtaza's intention to retire from his longstanding service at the ITA due to personal commitments, a proposal has been advanced to nominate Majid Bashir for the position of President of the association. Bashir's distinguished background as an advocate and his extensive experience as the Senior Executive Vice President of the ITA made him a suitable candidate to assume the leadership role within the organization. His commitment to the association's mission and his demonstrated leadership qualities equip him to navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead, ensuring continuity and excellence in the ITA's endeavors.The proposal was met with unanimous approval from the members present, who showed their support for Majid Bashir through a show of hands. This indicates a vote of confidence in Bashir's ability to lead the ITA effectively.Majid Bashir, upon being elected as the new President, expressed his sincere gratitude to the members for their unanimous support. He pledged to dedicate himself to the advancement of tennis in the Capital Territory of Islamabad. Furthermore, he emphasized his commitment to fostering harmony and amicable relations between the affiliated units of the ITA and the PTF. Bashir aims to work towards the development and enhancement of the game of tennis, ensuring its growth and prosperity within the region.
Pakistan to participate in Asia/Oceania U14 U Final Qualifying Event

Sports Bulletin ReportISLAMABAD: A two-member Pakistan Wheelchair Tennis Team including Asif Gul Abbasi, and Fida Hussain reached Pattaya Thailand on March 13 to participate in the ITF (International Tennis Federation) Asia Oceania Wheelchair Qualifier Cup 2024.According to an official of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), Pakistan’s wheelchair tennis contingent comprising 2 players and 1 Non-playing captain including Asif Abbasi, FidaHussain and Mohammad Khalid Rehmani on Wednesday reached Thailand city Pattaya for an international fixture.Besides, Pakistan, China, South Korea, Malaysia, Australia, Thailand, Iraq, India, and Kazakhstan will take part in the competitions for the top honour. The official draw ceremony will take place today (Wednesday) and the matches will start tomorrow (Thursday).

Mohammad Shoaib beat Barkat Ullah at 6-3, 6-2. Yousaf Khalil beat Muzammil Murtaza with 6-2, 6-1. Mohammad Abid beat Abdullah Adnan with 6-1, 6-1.
