PRU night camps in full swing for Asian Div-II Rugby Championship
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-The night camps to prepare the national team for the upcoming Asian Div-II Rugby Championship 2022 are in full swing under the supervision of the coach Malik Shakeel and Fitness trainer Jay here. According to an official of Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU), under the watchful eyes of the selection committee headed by Rizwan Malik and its three members Yahya Bhatti, Muzamil Wazeri and Mohsin Iqbal, the nights camps are being conducted in order to prepare the national team for the mega event. PRU Secretary Salman Shaikh said: “Pakistan has been given the opportunity to host the Div-II Rugby Championship by Asia Rugby. The participants of the event include host Pakistan, China, Taiwan and Thailand.  PRU is in the process of hiring a foreign coach for this important ranking tournament." President of Asia Rugby Qais said: "I am really glad that rugby is back in Pakistan. We are all waiting for staging this event in Pakistan and try to make it a huge success." Pakistan WAPDA earn Double Titles of National Netball Championship 2022
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD:-Pakistan WAPDA clinched double titles of the 21st National Netball Championship after winning both Men’s and Women’s finals at Liaquat Gymnasium, Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad on Thursday. In Men’s final WAPDA snatched the victory from Pakistan Army with the difference of solitary point 24-23 while Women’s fixture WAPDA females defeated Higher Education Commission (HEC) 22-11. Director General, Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), Col (Retd) Asif Zaman graced the prize distribution as a chief guest and distributed the trophies, medals and certificates among the players. When he entered the Laiquat Gymnasium the referee pushed the button of the buzzer of the final round. Zaman did not see a glimpse of the final match that showed the interest of Asif Zaman, who is the head of Pakistan’s top sports organization Pakistan Sports Board (PSB). The men’s final was a nail and bite contest and players of both teams exhibited top quality game. Army were leading in the first three quarters respectively 6-4, 15-14 and 21-20 but WAPDA players snatched the victory from them in the last quarter, as they cleverly defended the last attempt of Army men in the last minutes. The final score was 24-23. Army players were not satisfied with the various decisions of umpires. Yasir Javad and Anwar Ahmed supervised the men’s final. President, Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF), Mudassar Arian, Secretary Syed Gohar Raza, Director General, Wapda Sports Board, Mohammad Musharaf, Mehar Sajid (Navy) and other officials of PNF and PSB were present in the prize distribution ceremony. Army players refused to attend the closing ceremony, however, on the request of an official they joined the ceremony and collected their medals and runner-up trophy from the hands of the chief guest.   Results: In the men's final: Pakistan Wapda beat Pakistan Army 24-23 In third position match: Pakistan Navy beat HEC by 30-22 In the women's final: Pakistan Wapda defeated HEC 22-11 In the 3rd position match: Pakistan Army beat Sind 15-18 Results (Under-17 Inter Schools and Colleges Event): In the final match: City PAF Chapter, Karachi beat Danish School, Rajanpur 16-20 In the 3rd position match: Danish School, Mianwali  beat Habib girls School 8-5.

National Netball Championship starts at Pakistan Sports Complex
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD:-The National Netball Championships for Men’s and Women’s started at Liaquat Gymnasium, Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad under the banner of Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF). As many as four matches of Men’s Event and eight matches of Women’s Event were decided on the opening day of championship. President, Pakistan Netball Federation, Mudassar Arian inaugurated 4-day championship. Secretary General, Pakistan Netball Federation, Syed Gohar Raza and a large number of peoples were also present on the occasion. World Snooker Champion Ahsan Ramzan honored
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) Secretary General Moazzam Khan Klair believes that huge rewards for Pakistan’s world champions can further motivate the future stars of the country to win international glories. Moazzam said this while addressing the ceremony to honour new Pakistan World Snooker Champion Ahsan Ramzan here the other day. He also handed over the national blazer pin to the champion and wished him, his coach and the federation best for the future endeavours. Pakistan Sports Board Director Nasrullah Rana, Punjab Cycling Association President Adnan Ahsan Khan, Secretary Shahzada Butt and Treasurer Amjad Khan were also present on the occasion.  The PCF Secretary urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to fully patronize Pakistan sports and sportsmen and provide them all-out support morally, financially as well as regarding the international-standard facilities. “Sports is now one of the biggest industries across the world and many big nations are using them to boost their finances and also to strengthen their relations with other countries.  “Not only this, big sports nations have already done 10 to 20 years of planning as they plan for at least 3 to 4 Olympics in advance and start investing, so that they may claim maximum medals in the Olympics. If we, the country of very talented youth, want to win Olympics medal, we need to invest heavily on sports and also there is a dire need to reward our world champions with huge prizes as it will encourage and motivate future stars to achieve bigger than them and ultimately, it will add honour to Pakistan globally,” Moazzam asserted.  PSB Director Nasrullah Rana also assured the new snooker champion of PSB’s all-out support and vowed that the champion will be taken care of well by the government and he will be provided with ample opportunities and the best facilities so that he may continue to win laurels for Pakistan in international events.

Punjab Minister for Sports Rai Taimoor presents cash awards to wrestler Inam Butt
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti awarded a cheque of rupees ten hundred thousand to Pakistan’s most celebrated wrestler Inam Butt, who won two back-to-back gold medals in Beach Wrestling World Series in Italy and Greece in September 2021, at National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday. Director General Sports Punjab Javed Chohan, Chief Sports Consultant SBP Hafeez Bhatti and other officials were also present on this occasion. Talking on this occasion, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti appreciated the performance of ace wrestler Inam Butt saying that Inam once again made the entire nation proud by winning two consecutive gold medals in Beach Wrestling World Series in Italy and Greece last year. “Inam is our national hero and it’s our prime obligation to honour and encourage sports stars like him,” he added. Punjab Minister for Sports Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti said: “Sports Board Punjab has always encouraged talented stars like Inam Butt. Inam is a great son of country. We are proud of Inam Butt, who also had clinched medals in Commonwealth Games, Asian Beach Games and World Wrestling Championship during his illustrious career”. Punjab Minister for Sports Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti urged the young athletes of the country to take inspiration from amazing achievements of Inam Butt. “Punjab government also extended every kind of cooperation to Pakistan’s special athlete Haider Ali and other players for their participation in Tokyo Olympic Games last year,” he added. Ali Suleman claims bronze medal in the World Rowing Virtual Indoor Championship
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD:-Top national Rower Ali Suleman has won the bronze medal in the World Rowing Virtual Indoor Championship in the Men’s Lightweight categories held at National Rowing Centre, University of the Punjab Lahore on Friday. According to an official of Pakistan Rowing Federation (PRF), national rowing players have won the bronze medal in light weight men’s and 8th position in the open weight men’s categories. Ali Suleman secured bronze medal in lightweight while Ahmad Aziz got 8th position in open weight category. Chairman PRF, Rizwan-ul-Haq applauded the performance of national players in the top international event. He also mentioned that new talent was enlightening the name of country at international level. “The players must be provided maximum available facilities in future, “he added. He also hailed the hard work of coach Abdul Rehman.
