I firmly believe that if we stick to our game plan given by our qualified coach and try to give our best, we can secure a victory against Cambodia,” he added. Recognizing that they are the underdogs, having never won a World Cup Qualifier before, the national team player termed this challenge as an opportunity. "Preparation is going really well, and our training sessions are detailed, with each player understanding their responsibilities. "I have a great belief in my team and I believe we can emerge victorious in this game and create a history. It's something we're all striving for, and we understand the significant opportunities that victory will bring, both individually and as a team. In a heart-pounding match, the Urtasker’s female team emerged triumphant with a 1-0 victory, demonstrating their dedication to the cause.Meanwhile, in the male category, the New Yorkers showed their sportsmanship by winning against the Pindi Badshah with a score of 1-0 in the final. However, in the true spirit of fair play and unity, the New Yorkers gave the winning title to the Pindi Badshah team.There were 10 pool matches among 5 teams, and the qualifiers played the semifinals and final. Boys U16 camp for SAFF U16 Championship commences in Lahore
LAHORE (Press Release): After conducting a 15 days camp in Abbottabad, the Boy's Under-16 camp under the supervision of Head Coach Sajjad Mehmood, Assistant Coach Hassan Baloch, and Goal Keeping Coach Jaffer Khan has been kicked off in Lahore.Spanning from February to June, these trials attracted participants from across the country, resulting in the identification of 200 exceptionally talented players. 50 players were shortlisted for the national U-16 training camp in Abbottabad.Out of 50 players who take part in training, a squad of 23 players will represent Pakistan in SAFF U16 Championship. Pakistan team was placed in Group B with Bhutan and Maldives. Pakistan will take on Bhutan and Maldives on September 1 and 3 respectively.Heach Coach Sajjad Mehmood said: “The boys are prepared well and taking part in the training. We hope the boys will perform well in SAFF U16 Championship. The players have been trying to adapt themselves to the international requirements by showing full interest in training since the first day whereas minor errors of some players were eradicated during the practice games," he added.
