LAHORE (SBR): Thrilling hockey action continued at the 4th Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) All Pakistan Hockey Tournament 2025, held at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore on Wednesday, with two fiercely contested matches showcasing skill, speed, and strategy. Match 1: Port Qasim and NBP play out exciting 3-3 drawThe opening match of the day saw Port Qasim Authority and National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) battle to a 3-3 draw in a nail-biting encounter that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Aleem Usman was the standout for Port Qasim, scoring a brilliant brace, while Amjad added a crucial third to keep them in the fight. For NBP, Faizan continued his fine form with two well-taken goals, and Aamir chipped in with one to level the scores. Despite chances for both sides to snatch victory, tight defending and some heroic saves kept the scoreboard even. For his commanding presence and critical saves between the posts, Mazhar Abbas (NBP) was named man of the match. Match 2: Pakistan Army overpower Rangers 5-2In the second game, Pakistan Army showcased their dominance with a commanding 5-2 victory over Pakistan Rangers, asserting their strength as serious contenders in the tournament. Army’s scoring was spread across five players, Shahzad, Ahmed Sarwar, Usman, Saaifullah, and Wasim Akram, each finding the net once in a well-rounded team performance. Rangers showed flashes of brilliance through Ammar and Hamid Ali, who managed to score one goal each, but were ultimately outpaced by the Army’s relentless attack. The man of the match honor went to Zain Farooq, who anchored Army’s midfield with composure and creativity, playing a pivotal role in controlling the tempo of the game.

Sports Bulletin ReportLAHORE: The 4th Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) All Pakistan Hockey Tournament 2025 produced an action-packed day at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore, on Tuesday, featuring a dominant performance by Mari Energies and a breathtaking goal-fest between Customs and Pakistan Navy.  In the opening match of the day, Mari Energies outclassed PAF 5-2 with a commanding display of attacking hockey. Star forward Ahmed Nadeem led from the front with a brilliant brace, while Waseem Akram, Sufiyan Khan and Ghanzfar Ali added one goal each to seal a comprehensive victory. Although PAF showed glimpses of resistance through goals from Zaheer Hussain and Abdul Manan, they were unable to contain Mari Energies’ relentless offensive pressure. The second match turned into a spectacle as Customs and Navy battled to a sensational 4-4 draw, providing fans with a thrilling end-to-end contest. Customs’ Amad stole the spotlight with two goals, with Samilullah and Shehzab also getting on the scoresheet.  Pakistan Navy responded in equal measure, thanks to strikes from Rana Waleed, Hanan Shaid, Zikriya and Bisaharat, ensuring an evenly poised finish. National Hockey training camp concludes in Wah Cantt
Sports Bulletin ReportWAH CANTT: A 10-day long training camp for the Pakistan National Hockey Team led by head Coach Olympian Tahir Zaman and Coach Olympian Mohammad Usman concluded here at the state-of-the-art POF Sports Complex on Thursday.The officials of Pakistan hockey federation (PHF) told newsmen that camp was organized in connection to preparations of the Pakistani team for the upcoming FIH Men’s Nations Cup. Juniors Championship: Navy, Army, Punjab Red, Customs qualify for semifinals
Abdul Jabbar FaisalISLAMABAD: Navy, Army, Punjab Red, and Customs have stormed into the semifinals of the 37th National Juniors Hockey Championship 2024 after beating their respective opponents WAPDA (4-3), Police (3-0), Punjab Blues (5-0), and Khyber Pukhtunkawa (4-3) respectively here at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex on Wednesday. The semifinals will be played on Friday at the same venue.In the first quarterfinal, Pakistan Navy overcame Pakistan WAPDA 4-3. Mohammad Wasim scored two goals for Navy while Basharat Ali and Waleed Ashraf scored each one goal for their team. Aaamir Sohail, Mohammad Hasan, Hanan Khan scored each one goal for the Pakistan WAPDA.Meanwhile, in the second quarterfinal, Pakistan Army stunned Pakistan Police 3-0 after 60 minutes game. Saud Amjad made two goals for the winning side while Mohammad Owais contributed solitary goal for Pakistan Army, set to meet Pakistan Navy in the first semifinal on Friday at the same pitch.Punjab Reds outclassed Punjab Blues by 5-0 in the penultimate quarterfinal at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium. Obaidullah Awan (2), Mubashir Khan (1) Mohammad Aziz (1), and Adeel Afzal (1) were the goal scorer for Punjab Reds. Punjab Blues players failed to reduce margin.In the last and 4th quarterfinal, Pakistan Customs defeated Khyber Pukhtunkawa (KPK) 4-3 in the well contest match of the day, as the players of both teams displayed skillful hockey and amused handful  spectators during the all four quarters. Customs will face Punjab Reds in the second semifinal of top national junior hockey showpiece. Bilal Aslam scored a couple of goals for Customs while Mohammad Ammad and Samiullah contributed each one goal.

The final selected team will participate in the Asian Champions Trophy Hockey Tournament.Pakistan Hockey Federation asked players to report to Camp Commandant Olympian Sheikh Usman at 2 pm on July 31 at the Naseer Banda Hockey Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad. PHF briefs POA regarding South Asian Games preparations
Sports Bulletin ReportLAHORE: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) briefed the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) regarding the preparations for the upcoming South Asian Games, which will be held in Pakistan this year 2024.According to an official of PHF, Haider Hussain, the Secretary-General PHF provided a comprehensive briefing during a meeting chaired by President POA, Mohammad Abid Qadri Gillani. The gathering, held under the auspices of the Pakistan Olympic Association for preparations of the South Asian Games, focused on the hosting responsibilities for the hockey event. The prestigious event is set to feature seven teams, both men's and women's, with the National Hockey Stadium in Lahore proposed as the venue.The assembly witnessed the presence of key figures, including Secretary-General POA, and officials from various national sports federations. Among them were Khalid Bashir (Secretary-General, Pakistan Basketball Federation), Haji Mohammad Shafiq (President, Pakistan Handball Federation), Faizi Khawaja (Chairman, Pakistan Rugby Federation), Nasir Ahmed (Director, Pakistan Volleyball Federation), and Mohammad Jahangir (Chairman, Pakistan Karate Federation).In their collaborative efforts, the stakeholders expressed their commitment to making the event a triumph, discussing various recommendations and strategies to ensure the seamless organization of the international competition. Navy to Stage Chief of Naval Staff All Pakistan Hockey Tournament
Abdul Jabbar FaisalISLAMABAD: An eight-team 4th All Pakistan Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Hockey Cup will be held from May 16 to 24, 2024 at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore.According to an official of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), Station Commander Lahore Pakistan Navy Commodore Sajid Hussain met with officials of the Pakistan Hockey Federation and Sports Board Punjab (SBP). Also, attended by Executive Secretary PHF Ali Abbas, Director Administration and Coordination and world-renowned penalty corner specialist Olympian Khalid Bashir, Assistant Director Mubasher Ali, Deputy Station Commander Jawad, Director Sports Pakistan Navy Mohammad Kamran, and Sports Officer Navy Mohammad Rizwan.Mari Petroleum, Pakistan WAPDA, Customs, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, Police, and Sindh will fight for title during the d days prestigious national hockey showpiece. This visit was not only an exciting experience for the club members, but it also served as a way to strengthen cultural ties between the Netherlands and Pakistan. The members of OHC Bully were warmly welcomed by the locals, who were eager to showcase their hospitality and love for the game of hockey.”“During their visit to Lahore, the OHC Bully members were able to experience the rich history and culture of the city.
