T20 Blinds: Karachi, Sargodha, Attock and Abbottabad reach in semifinals

FAISALABAD: Karachi, Sargodha, Attock, and Abbottabad moved into the semifinals of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2023 (Grade-2) after winning their respective matches at two different venues of Faisalabad on Friday. Both semifinals will be played on Saturday at Bohranwali Cricket Ground Faisalabad.

Abbottabad beat Sheikhopura by 120 runs (HPC Centre Chak-8):

Abbottabad won the toss and decided to bat first. Abbottabad made 241 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Asnaad Khan was the top scorer with 36 off 24 balls. Irfan Ullah was the 2nd highest scorer with 35 runs off 30 balls. Raheel Ahmed took 2 wickets while Majid and Sohaib Mehtab claimed 1 wicket each for Sheikhopura. 

In reply, Sheikhopura couldn’t make the most of the batting friendly conditions and made just 121 runs in stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Ashraf Bhatti made 36 runs off 50 balls. Asnaad Khan took 1 wicket for Abbottabad. Asnaad Khan got man of the match award.

Karachi beat Quetta by 46 runs (Bohranwali Ground):

Quetta won the toss and decided to bowl first. Ayoub Khan once again shined with the bat and played a tremendous innings of unbeaten 129* runs off 62 balls and helped his side to set a massive total of 262 runs on the board for no loss in allotted 20 overs. Tahir Ali also made useful contribution of unbeaten 117* runs off 62 balls.

In reply, Quetta scored 216 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Naseeb Ullah was the leading scorer with 88 runs off 57 balls and Mohammad Saleem made 76 runs off 64 balls. Mohammad Arshed fetched 1 wicket for Karachi. Ayoub Khan got man of the match award.

Sargodha beat Gilgit-Baltistan by 6 wickets (HPC Centre Chak-8):

Gilgit-Baltistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Gilgit-Baltistan made 143 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Shoeb ul Hassan was the top scorer with 49 runs off 40 balls and Mustafa Kamal made 28 runs off 35 balls. Abdullah, Zaran and Asif took 1 wicket each.

In reply, Sargodha chased down the target in 14.1 for the loss of 4 wickets. Gul Sher played exceptionally well and scored 62 off 43 balls. Shakeel and Mustafa Kamal shared 1 wicket each for Gilgit. Gul Sher got man of the match award.

Attock beat Faisalabad by 10 wickets (Bohranwali Ground):

Faisalabad won the toss and decided to bat first. Faisalabad Scored 195 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Ejaz Hussain was the top scorer with 36 runs off 27 balls while M Zahid made 29 runs off 21 balls. Mohammad Sohail took 2 wickets and Ehtisham Ul Haq Claimed 1 wicket for Attock.

In Reply Attock reached the target of 196 runs with ease in 15.5 overs without any loss. Zeeshan was the star batsman, he scored unbeaten 105* runs off 54 balls and Ehtisham ul Haq made 75* runs for Attock. Mohammad Zeeshan got man of the match award.
