ITF Pakistan Junior Tennis: Mohammad Shoaib wins title
By Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD (March 1, 2020):-Top seed Mohammad Shoaib annexed the Boys Singles Title of Syed Dilawar Abbas Memorial ITF Pakistan Junior Tennis Championship after beating Ayar Goklap from Turkay 2-1 in a thrilling well contested three sets match at S.Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad on Sunday. In the first set, Ayar built up the lead 3-1 by breaking 4th game of Shoaib in which he hit two double faults, as the Shoaib leveled the score 3-3all by breaking 7th game of Ayar. The score went up to 5-5 all as both the players hold their respective serves; at this stage Ayer hold his serve with the help of two aces and claimed the winning lead 6-5 and won the first set 7-5 by breaking last game of Shoaib at 0-40. Meanwhile, in the second set, Ayer kept the same pressure and got the winning lead 3-1 by breaking 2nd game of Shoaib. At this stage Shoaib change the game plan and start long rallies from the base line and level the score 3-3 all by breaking 5th game of Ayar and won the second set at 6-4 breaking 7th game of Ayar and level the match 1-1 set all. Shoaib was in excellent form in the final set and took the lead 4-0 by breaking 1st and 3rd game of Ayar, at this moment Ayar reduced the lead 3-4 by breaking 8th game of Shaoib by changing the pace of game. Shoaib did not allow his opponent to change the pace and won the final set at 6-4. Both the players displayed excellent game of tennis which was appreciated and witnessed by tennis lovers. The match lasted 1 hour 53 minutes and was chaired by Husnain Mehmood. Islamabad Tennis Association organized the two ITF J5 Pakistan World Ranking Tennis tournament back to back and the second tournament was in the memory of Late Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas, who played vital role for the promotion of game of tennis in the country. He remained President/Patron of PTF, Lifetime Sr. Vice President of Asian Tennis Federation, and Hon. Lifetime Patron Islamabad Tennis Association, he was also member of ITF Constitutional Committee. As many as 27 boys and 15 girls from 18 countries Greece, Hong Kong, Austria, Russia, Turkey, Chinese Taipei, Great Britain, Romania, Nepal,  China, Iran, Tunaisa, Kazakhstan, USA, Malaysia , Korea, Sri Lanka and host Pakistan participated in the  Championships. Akber Durrani Secretary Information and Broadcasting graced the occasion as chief guest and distributed the trophies among the winner and runner-up of boys singles. Salim Saifullah Khan President Pakistan Tennis Federation, Col. Gul Rehman Secretary PTF also enjoyed the Singles final.

Slovenian tennis players arrive Islamabad for Davis Cup Tie
Sports Reporter ISLAMABAD (March 1, 2020):-The Slovenian tennis team arrived here on Sunday for Davis Cup Tie fixture against hosts Pakistan. According to Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), Slovenian Davis Cup Team arrived in Islamabad today (1st March, 2020). The Slovenian Team was received by the PTF Secretary Col. Gul Rehman(R) and Liaison Officer Imran Sheikh at the Islamabad Airport and was provided the entire protocol and security umbrella. The Serena Hotel Management also received them with traditional hospitality and courtesies. The Slovenian team visited the venue of Davis Cup tie at Pakistan Sports Complex.

ITF Pakistan Junior Tennis: Leyla wins Girls Singles title
By Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD:-An unseeded, Leyla Nilufer Elmas (TUR) won the Girls Single crown of Syed Dilawar Abbas Memorial ITF Pakistan Junior Tennis Championships by eliminating top seed Ren Ke in a entertaining three sets match at Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad on Thursday. In the First set, both players broke serve of each other and the score went up to 6-6 all and set decided on tie break, which won by Leyla with a score of 8-6 by hitting the winner down the line. In the second set, the quality tennis was witnessed and the score went up to 4-4 all as both the players hold their respective serves; top seed Ren Ke won the second set at 6-4 by breaking last game of Leyla at 15-40. The final set was marked with aces, long rallies and combination of back hand, forehand drives and the score went up to 4-4 all. Leyla won the final set by breaking 9th game of Ren Ke and clinched the Girls Singles title; the match lasted 2 hours 28 minutes which was officiated by Asif Ali. Leyla Elmas (TUR) obtained 30 ITF World Ranking points whereas Ren Ke (CHN) got 18 points. Ayar Goklap (TUR)/ Mustafa Sancaklioglu (TUR) won the Boys Doubles title by eliminating Iustin Belea (ROU) / Qwyn Quittner (AUS) in straight sets with the score of 6-2, 6-3. Top seed Mohammad Shaoib of Pakistan and second seed Ayar Goklap (TUR) moved into the Boys Singles final by beating their respective opponents in straight sets. In the first semi final Top seed Shoaib won the first set 6-4 by breaking 9th game of Aryan Giri (NEP); he kept the same pressure in the second set and build up the winning lead 4-0 by breaking 1st and 3rd game of Aryan and won the second set at 6-1 by breaking last game of Aryan after 3 duce. In the second semi final Ayar Goklap (TUR) proved too good for Kerem Ozlale (TUR) and won in straight sets with the score of 6-3, 6-1. Leyla Nilufer Elmas (TUR) / Mina Togdulkdmir (TUR) won the Girls Doubles Title by beating Abhilasha Bista (NEP) / Neyara Weerawansa (SRI) in a exciting three set match; Neyla / Mina won the first set at 7-5 by breaking 11th game of Neyara; Bista & Neyara leveled the match 1 set all by wining the second set at 6-2 by breaking 4t5h and 6th game of Leyla and Mina. In the final set match tie played which won by Leyla / Mina at 11-9 after saving 3 match points. Salim Saifullah Khan President Pakistan Tennis Federation witnessed the Girls Doubles final and distributed the shields and trophies amongst the winner and runner-ups; as these players are leaving today for the their home land. Salim visits PTF
Sports Reporter ISLAMABAD (February 26, 2020):-Salim Saifullah Khan, President PTF visited Aisam ul Haq Pavilion at Pakistan Sports Complex to witness the training session of the Pakistan Davis Cup team, which is in progress for preparation of the Davis Cup tie Pakistan against Slovenia. The President showed satisfaction about the training session and the hard work, which is being displayed by the players under their Captain/Coach Mushaf Zia. He also interacted with the players and motivated them to perform better. The President also inspected the venue of the event and was briefed by Khawar Hyat, SEVP and Saeed Ahmed Khan SVP, members of the Management Committee of PTF, about the progress of the work. He was satisfied with the overall preparatory arrangements.

ITF Tennis: Mohammad Shoaib moves in semifinal
Sport Reporter ISLAMABAD (February 26, 2020):-Mohammad Shoaib (PAK), Gokalp Ayar (TUR), Aryan Giri (NEP) and Kerem Ozlale (TUR) qualified for the Boys Singles Semi finals of Syed Dilawar Abbas Memorial ITF Pakistan Junior Tennis Championships by eliminating their respective opponents in straight sets at S.Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad. Top seed Mohammad Shoaib was in excellent form and won the first set at 6-2 by breaking 1st and 3rd game of Tuna and he kept the same pressure in the second set and did not allow his opponent to settle down with his powerful winner down the line and cross court. He won the second set at 6-1 by breaking 1st, 3rd and 5th game. Unseeded Kerem Ozlale of Turkey continue his winning streak and won his encounter against Birtan Duran (TUR) without any resistance with a score of 6-0, 6-2. The third quarter final 2nd seed Gokalp Ayar (TUR) beat Iustin Belea of Romania in a well contested two set match 6-4, 6-3 and will face Kerem Ozlale in the semi final tomorrow at 10:00 AM. In the last quarterfinal Aryan Giri (NEP) proved too good for Stylianos Poutis (GRE) and won his encounter in straight set with a score of 6-2, 6-4 and moved into the semi final and will face top seed Muhammad Shaoib of Pakistan at 10:00 AM. In the girls singles semi finals; unseeded Lyela Nilufer Elmas (TUR) made the major upset in the tournament by beating 2nd seed Dorsa Cheraghi (IRI) in best encounter of the day. Asif Abbasi claims Back-to-Back two titles for Pakistan
Sports Desk ISLAMABAD:-Pakistan wheelchair tennis star Asif Gul Abbasi won back to back two singles titles for Pakistan in two weeks at Wrexham indoor wheelchair tennis tournament and Bolton indoor wheelchair tennis tournament at Bolton arena in, UK. Abbasi, who is the only current Pakistani tennis player representing his country at international level. He made history when he became the first ever Pakistani who won an international tennis tournaments first in ITF futures tournament back in 2017 at same venue in Wrexham. Now he again created new history for Pakistan when he won two in a row titles including ITF 3 and ITF 2 at Wrexham and Bolton respectively. Abbasi who was also finalist of Wrexham doubles event with British partner and winner of Bolton doubles event with Japanese player beat his more experienced counterparts at the events. In these two weeks he lost only doubles final match and won all his matches throughout the tournaments. Abbasi said, "It was very eventful two weeks for me as I was not fully prepared for these tournaments due to lack of funds. I didn't play tennis for last 3 months before the tournaments, “he added. He said that he was not expecting these results but by the Grace of Almighty Allah and with the prayers of family and friends he made it in the end for Pakistan. It was proud moment when umpires announced his name "Asif Abbasi from Pakistan. Further he added that if Pakistani organizations would help him in his training he could do much better for Pakistan at international level, and could also qualify for Paralympics. Abbasi, who also holds level 3 coaching certification in tennis, level 2 cricket coaching and fundamental movement skills level-II certification. It is worth mentioning here that he is also excellent cricket player and plays in LDPD National cricket championship league for Surrey county. He won two consecutive years "Player of the year awards" for 2018 and 2019 season.

ITF Tennis: Mohammad Sohaib wins Singles Title
By Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD (February 22, 2020):-The2nd Seed Mohammad Shoaib of Pakistan won the title of Boys Singles of Tajammul & Dilawar Abbas Memorial ITF Pakistan Championship by beating Ahmed Kamil (PAK) at Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad on Saturday. The 2nd Seed Muhammad Shoaib was in excellent form and displayed skill of his forehand, backhand shots and won the first set with conceding a single game by breaking 2nd, 4th and 6th game of Kamil. He kept the same pressure in the second set and did not allow his opponent to settle down through his powerful winner down the line and cross court. He won the second set without conceding a single game. The match lasted 40 minutes. He gained valuable 30 ITF Points and this the first ITF Title in his cap. 3rd Seed Mina Toglukdemir (TUR) clinched the Girls Singles title after eliminating top seed Ren Ke (CHN) in exciting three set match. Mina won the first set 7-6 in tie break with the score of 7-5. Ren Ke fought back and won the second set 6-1 by breaking 4th & 6th game of Mina. In the final set Ren Ke build up the winning lead 3-0 by breaking 1st and 3rd game. Mina leveled the score 3-3all by breaking 6th game of Ren Ke and hit couple of forehand powerful winner at the crucial stage . She won the final set at 6-4 by bearking 8th and 10th game of Ren Ke. The match lasted 2 hrs 5 minutes and officiated by ITF White Badge Umpire Shahzad Akhtar Alvi. Mohammad Shoaib (PAK) / Ahmed Kamil (PAK) annexed the Boys Doubles Title in exciting and entertaining final. Soaib / Kamil won the first set 6-3 by breaking 2nd game, Duran / Ozlale lelvel the score 1 set all by winning the second set at 6-4; the match decided in the match tie break set which won by Shoaib / Kamil 14-12 after saving two match points. The match lasted 1 hrs 20 minutes. Shoaib from Pakistan won the double crown by winning doubles final.  50 players from 20 countries Azerbaijan, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, Russia, Turkey, Chinese Taipei, Great Britain, Romania, Nepal, Italy, China, Iran, Tunisia, Kazakhstan, USA, Malaysia, Korea, Sri Lanka and host Pakistan participated in this Championships. High standard of tennis witnessed during the championships, the tournament was named in the memory of Late Syed Tajammul Abbas and Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas, both played vital role for the promotion of tennis in the country. Dilawar Sahib remained Present of Pakistan Tennis Federation, Lifetime Senior Vice President Asian Tennis Federation and Member of ITF Constitutional Committee, He was also the lifetime member of Islamabad Tennis Association, as the tournament was sponsored by his family, Fatima Group, and SNGPL. ITF Tennis: Top seed Dora Cheraghi and Bilur Gonlusen lift Doubles title
Sports Reporter ISLAMABAD (February 21, 2020):- Top seed Dora Cheraghi (IRI and Bilur Gonlusen (TUR) have won the Girls Doubles title of Tajammul & Dilawar Abbas Memorial ITF Pakistan Junior Tennis Championships 2020 after beating their opponents in the final at Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad on Friday. Top seed Dora Cheraghi (IRI and Bilur Gonlusen (TUR) won the Girls Doubles title of Tajammul & Dilawar Abbas ITF Pakistan Junior Tennis Championships in a well contested two set final at 6-4, 7-6(3). Dorsa & Bilur built up the winning lead 4-0 by breaking 1st and 4th game of Leyla and Mina and in the second set all the players displayed excellent game of tennis and long rallies were witness during the match which was won by Dora & Bilur in a tie break. In the first semi final of Boys Singles; 4th seed Ahmed Kamil of Pakistan made the major upset of the tournament when he eliminated top seed Haktan Garayev (AZE) in thrilling, exciting encounter of the day. Haktan won the first set 7-5 by breaking 12th game of Kamil at 0-40. Kamil changed the pace of game and won the second set at 6-3 by breaking 3rd and 9th game of Haktan. Kamil kept the same pressure in the final set and won by 6-4 by breaking 4th and 8th game of Garayev. The match lasted 2 hrs 16 minutes. Kamil proved his talent by showing excellent game of tennis and was very consistent from the baseline; he will face Muhammad Shaoib (PAK) in the Boys Singles final tomorrow at 2:00 PM. Earlier in the morning session Ahmed Kamil won his unfinished quarter final against Aryan Giri (NEP) in a well contested two set match 7-5, 7-5. In the second semi final of Boys Singles; 2ND Seed Muhammad Shaoib (PAK) moved into the Boys Singles Final by eliminating Subhan Bin Salik (PAK) in a one sided match 6-3, 6-0. Shaoib was in fine touch and did not allow his opponent to settle down during the second set with his powerful forehand, backhand deep drives. He won the second set with out conceding a single game by breaking 1st, 3rd and 5th game of Salik, he made two double fault in second set, match lasted 45 minutes. The best encounter of the day played between Top Seed Haktan Garayev (AZE) and Souta Oomura (JPN) in the quarter final. Oomura build up the winning lead 4-1 by breaking 2nd and 4th in the first set but Haktan level the score 5-5all by breaking 7th and 9th game of Oomura and set decided in the tie break which won by Haktan at 7-5. He hits some excellent ground strokes. In the second set score went up to 5-5all as both the players hold their respective serves; at this stage Oomura won the second set at 7-5 by breaking Haktan serve at 0-40 and level the match one set all. Top seed Haktan won the final set at 6-2 by breaking 4th and 6th game of Oomura. The match lasted 2 hrs 20 minutes. In the girls event Ren Ke (CHN) won her unfinished semi final in a well contested three set match 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 and qualified for the Girls Singles final where she will meet Mina Togludemir (TUR) tomorrow (Saturday) at 10:00 AM. In the Boys Doubles semi finals Birtan Duran (TUR) / Kerem Ozlale (TUR) beat Min Hung Kao (TPE) / Araiz Malik (PAK) in one sided affair 6-2, 6-1. Second semi final of Boys between Muhammad Shoib (PAK) and Ahmed Kamil (PAK) and Iustin Belea (ROU) / Qwyn Quittne (AUS) is in progress.  In the Girls Doubles Leyla Nilufer Elmas (TUR) / Mina Toglukdemir (TUR) and Dors Cheraghi (IRI) / Bilur Gonlusen (TUR) moved in to the Girls Doubles final by winning their respective semi finals in the morning session. Rain hits ITF Pakistan Junior Tennis Championships 2020
Sports Reporter ISLAMABAD (February 20, 2020):-that Tajammul & Dilawar Abbas Memorial ITF Pakistan is continued at S.Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad. The 3rd Seed Mina Toglukdemir (TUR) qualified for the Girls Singles final by eliminating Hannah Kaile Shen (HKG) in a well contested two set match 6-1, 7-6(6), the match lasted two hours. In the other unfinished semi final top seed Ren Ke (CHN) is leading 5-2 in the final set when match was stopped due to heavy rain in Islamabad and reschedule tomorrow at 9:30 AM. Girls Singles Final will be played on Saturday morning. Meanwhile, the 2nd Seed Mohammad Shaib of Pakistan moved into the semi final by winning her encounter against Tuna Nergizoglue (TUR) in smooth sailing without any resistance. Unseeded Subhan Bin Salik (PAK) continued his winning streak and advanced into the semi final by beating Kerem Ozlale (TUR) in a three set entertaining and thrilling match; Kerem Ozlale won the 1st set at 7-5 by breaking last game of Subhan in which he did two double faults. In the second set Subhan changed the game plan and won the second set at 6-1 by breaking 3rd, 5th and 7th game of Kerem Ozlale; In the final set Subhan Bin Salik kept the same pressure and won the final set at 6-3 by breaking 2nd and 6th game. This match also lasted 2 hrs 10 minutes. Subhan Bin Salik will face Muhammad Shoaib (PAK) in the Semi final. In the 3dr quarter final, Aryan Giri (NEP) was leading 4-3 in the second set after losing the first set 5-7 against 4th seed Ahmed Kamil (PAK) when the match had to halt due to rain. Ahmed is due to serve at 3-4. 4th Quarter could not be started between top seed Hakten Garayev (AZE) and 5th Seed Souta Oomura (JPN) and rescheduled to play tomorrow at 9:30 AM and winner of this match will play semi final against winner of Ahmed Akmil (PAK) and Aryan Giri (NEP) not before tomorrow 1:30 PM. The Doubles semi finals of Boys and Girls could not be started due to rain and have rescheduled tomorrow afternoon.
