Remington Stars triumphant in Tower 21 Polo Super League
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-Remington Stars carved out thrilling 7-6.5 triumph over Platinum Homes Tigers in the Tower 21 Polo Super League match played here at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Saturday. Hamza Mawaz Khan was hero of the day from Remington Stars as he played outstanding polo and contributed with four fabulous goals while Bilal Hayat Noon banged in a brace and Basel Faisal Khokhar struck one. From Platinum Homes Tigers, who had a half goal handicap advantage, Amirreza Behboudi fired in five goals while Aleem Tiwana scored one goal. Remington Stars dominated the match right from the word go as they slammed in two goals each against one each by Platinum Homes Tigers in the first and second chukkers respectively to have 4-2 lead. The third chukker was then dominated by Platinum Homes Tigers, who struck two goals against one by Remington Stars to make it 4-5. Both the teams converted two goals each in the fourth and last chukker with Remington Stars winning the match by 7-6.5.

President of Pakistan Open Polo: Diamond Paints and Newage Cables/Master Paints enter final
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-Diamond Paints and Newage Cables/Master Paints entered the main finals of the 1st President of Pakistan National Open Polo Championship 2022 sponsored by MidCity after winning their respective semifinals here at the Jinnah Polo Fields on Friday. Heroics of Guy Gibrat and Max Charlton helped Diamond Paints hammer Remounts by 8-5 in the first semifinal of the day. Both the heroes of the day did the magic with mallets and polo ponies and hammered a hat-trick each. Ahmed Ali Tiwana was the other key contributor from the winning side as he contributed with two goals each. From Team Remounts, Simon Prado fired in four goals while Mumtaz Abbas Niazi scored one goal. Diamond Paints dominated the match right from the word go as they pumped in two goals each in the first and second chukkers to gain a healthy 4-0 lead. Remounts made their presence felt in the third chukker by banging in a brace to make it 4-2 yet Diamond Paints once again had an upper hand as they thrashed in three goals to gain a healthy 7-2 lead. The fourth chukker was evenly poised as both the sides struck one goal each with Diamond Paints still enjoying 8-3 lead. Remounts though made a good comeback by thrashing in two goals yet it was too little situation for Remounts, as they lost the crucial semifinal by 5-8. The day’s second match was a nail-biting encounter where Newage Cables/Master Paints held their nerves and overcame spirited Master Paints by a narrow margin of 9-8. Gonzalo Deltour played the heroes’ role in Newage Cables/Master Paints triumph by converting superb seven goals out of total nine. The remaining two goals were pumped in by Vieri Antinori. For Master Paints, Marcos Panelo fired in five goals while Martin Carlos hammered a hat-trick. Newage Cables/Master Paints were off to a flying start as they banged in a brace to gain 2-0 lead. Just before the end of the first chukker, Master Paints converted one to make it 2-1 and then slammed in one more in the beginning of the second chukker to draw the blood at 2-2. Newage then started aggressive polo which helped them thrash in three back-to-back goals to have a good 5-2 lead. Master Paints bounced back well and fired in four fabulous goals to take a slight 6-5 lead. Newage then converted a beautiful goal to level the score at 6-6. Master Paints started the fourth chukker by pumping in a field goal to gain a slight 7-6 lead, which couldn’t last long as Newage first smashed in two back-to-back goals to have a slight 8-7 lead and then fired in another crucial goal to enhance their lead to 9-7. Master Paints though tried hard and succeeded in converting a spot penalty to reduce the margin to 9-8, but this was all that Master Paints could get from the match as they lost the semifinal by 8-9. The main final of the 1st President of Pakistan National Open Polo Championship 2022 sponsored by MidCity will be contested between Diamond Paints and Newage Cables/Master Paints on Sunday.

PH Tigers, Remington Stars script triumphs in Tower 21 Polo Super League
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-Platinum Homes (PH) Tigers and Remington Stars scripted triumphs in the three-week Tower 21 Polo Super League here at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Thursday.  In the first match of the day, Platinum Homes Tigers recorded a close 7½-6 victory over The Eagles. Foreign player Amirreza Behboudi did the magic with mallet and polo pony and fired in four fantastic goals for the winning team while Umar Qadeer banged in a brace and Azam Noon struck one. For The Eagles, Taimoor Ali Malik cracked a quartet and Hashim Kamal Agha thrashed in two goals.  The day’s second match saw Remington Stars showing superb polo skills and techniques and overpowering Zacky Reapers by a huge margin of 8-3. Hamza Mawaz Khan was hero of the day for the winning team as he smashed in superb seven goals while the remaining one was converted by Hussain Monnoo. For Zacky Reapers, Nazar Dean Ali Khan banged in a brace and Saif Noon scored one goal.  Remington Stars are on the top of the points table followed by Platinum Homes Tigers at number two. At number three are Zacky Reapers, ZS Lions are at number four and The Eagles are at number five.

President of Pakistan National Open Polo Championship: Master Paints, Remounts breeze into semis
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-Master Paints and Remounts qualified for the semifinals of the 1st President of Pakistan National Open Polo Championship 2022 sponsored by Mid-City after defeating their respective opponents in the quarterfinals here at the Jinnah Polo Fields on Wednesday. In the first quarterfinal of the day, Master Paints were up against favorite FG Polo and they played outstanding polo and outsmarted their opponents by a close margin of 9-7. Marcos stole the show for Master Paints as his heroics helped his side emerge as triumphant. He smashed in superb seven goals for the winning team while Martin Carlos also played well and thrashed in two significant goals for Master Paints. For FG Polo, Juan Ambroggio though tried hard and converted an impressive hat-trick but he got injured and was replaced by Horacio Carlos, who also contributed with a beautiful brace and Waqas Khan and Ramiro Zavaleta scored one goal each but their efforts couldn’t bear fruit for their side, thus lost the quarterfinal by 7-9. Now Master Paints will compete against Newage Cables/Master Paints in the semifinal on Friday (March 18). Master Paints were off to a flying start as they hammered a hat-trick to gain 3-0 lead while FG Polo then converted one to finish the first chukker at 1-3. FG Polo dominated the second chukker by thrashing in three back-to-back goals to take a slight 4-3 lead. Master Paints then made a tremendous comeback by firing in four fantastic goals one after another to earn a healthy 7-4 lead. FG Polo also bounced back well by converting two goals – one in the dying moments of the third chukker and one in the beginning of the fourth chukker – to reduce the deficit to 6-7. Master Paints then added one more in their tally to finish the fourth chukker having 8-6 lead. Both the sides converted one goal each in fifth and last chukker, with Master Paints winning the match by 9-7. The day’s second quarterfinal proved a nail-biting encounter which was tied at 7-7 at the end of the fifth chukker and then was decided in the sudden death chukker, where hero of the day Simon Prado fired in the match-winning goal to guide Remounts to a narrow 8-7 victory over HN Polo. Simon Prado did the magic with his mallet and polo pony throughout the match and succeeded in hammering four fantabulous goals for his side. His teammates Nico Roberts and Mumtaz Abbas Niazi also played key role in their team’s triumph as they contributed with three and one goal respectively. For team HN Polo, Tito Ruiz Guinazo was the prominent player who smashed in superb five goals while Saqib Khan Khakwani converted the remaining two goals, but that contribution was futile in the end. Now Remounts will vie against Diamond Paints in the semifinal on Friday (March 18). HN Polo opened their account by converting a 40-yard penalty to take 1-0 lead but Remounts then launched a series of attack on HN Polo’s goal and succeeded in banging in a brace to earn a slight 2-1 lead by the end of the first chukker. The second chukker was evenly poised as one goal each was scored by both the teams with Remounts still enjoying a slight 3-2 lead. HN Polo played comparatively better polo in the third chukker as they converted three goals against tow by Remounts to level the score at 5-5. Remounts dominated the fourth chukker by thrashing in two back-to-back goals to take 7-5 lead. HN Polo made a strong comeback in the fifth chukker by smashing in two back-to-back goals to finish the chukker at 7-7. The match was then decided in sudden death chukker where star of the day Simon Prado smashed in the match-winner to steer his side to a thrilling 8-7 win.

Remington Stars, PH Tigers win in Tower 21 Polo Super League
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-Remington Stars and Platinum Homes (PH) Tigers carved out contrasting victories in the Tower 21 Polo Super League here at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Tuesday. In the first match of the day, Remington Stars had to face tough resistance from The Eagles to win the closely-contested encounter by 6½-5. Hussain Monnoo and Ghulam Mustafa Monnoo were the heroes of the match as they played outstanding polo and contributed with two goals each while their teammates Hamza Mawaz Khan and Basel Faisal Khokhar converted one goal apiece for the winning side, which also had a half goal handicap advantage. The players of Team The Eagles also fought very hard and marched fire-with-fire till the end but they couldn’t finish well, thus lost the crucial match by a close margin of 6½-5. For the losing side, Ahmed Bilal Riaz played well and hammered a hat-trick of goals while Ali Fareed contributed with a beautiful brace but their efforts couldn’t bear fruit for their side.  The day’s second match proved a one-sided affair, where Platinum Homes Tigers recorded an emphatic 8-4 triumph over Zacky Reapers. Foreign player Amirreza Behboudi did the magic with mallet and polo pony and fired in superb seven out of eight goals for the winning team while the remaining goal was beautifully converted by Ashfaq Qadeer. For Zacky Reapers, Mustafa Aziz slammed in a brace while Nazar Dean Ali Khan and Saif Noon pumped in one goal apiece.  Remington Stars are on the top of the points table with 9 points as they have won 3 out of 4 matches while Platinum Homes Tigers are on number two with 9 points as they also have won 3 out of 4 matches, at number three are Zacky Reapers with 6 points as they have won 2 out of 3 matches, at number four are ZS Lions with 3 points as they have won 1 out of 4 matches and at number five are The Eagles with 3 points as they have won 1 out of 3 matches.

President Pakistan Open Polo: Newage/Master Paints reach in semifinals
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-Diamond Paints and Newage Cable/Master Paints qualified for the semifinals of the 1st President of Pakistan National Open Polo Championship sponsored by MidCity here at the Jinnah Polo Fields on Monday. Master Paints, FG Polo Team, HN Polo and Remounts will vie against each against each other in the quarterfinals on Wednesday. Diamond Paints and Newage Cables/Master Paints topped their respective pools to earn direct qualification in the semifinals. In the first match of the day, Diamond Paints defeated HN Polo by 11-9, thanks to phenomenal Max Charlton, who replaced injured Matias Vial Perez, emerged as hero of the day for the winning team with a contribution of excellent eights goals. His teammates Guy Gibrat, Mir Shoaib Ahmed and Matias also played well and slammed in one goal apiece.  The action-packed first match of the day began with both the sides scoring one goal each to make it 1-1. HN Polo played better polo in the second chukker by converting three goals against two by Diamond Paints to earn a slight 4-3 lead. The third chukker was evenly poised as both the teams slammed in two goals each with HN Polo still enjoying a slight 6-5 lead. The fourth chukker was identical to the third one as both the teams struck two goals each with HN Polo still having 8-7 lead. Diamond Paints dominated the fifth and last chukker by cracking four goals against one by HN Polo to win the match 11-9.  The second match of the day saw dominance of high-flying Remounts, who displayed outstanding polo skills and techniques against DS Polo/Rizvi’s and outclassed them by a huge margin of 11-5. Mumtaz Abbas Niazi emerged as star of the day for Remounts as he fired in fabulous five goals while his team members Simon Prado, Nico Roberts and ALD Imran Shahid contributed with two goals each. For DS Polo/Rizvi’s, Ahmed Bilal Riaz banged in a brace while Hissam Ali Hyder, Max Charlton and Daniyal Sheikh scored one goal each.  Remounts were off to a flying start as they fired in four fantastic goals in the first chukker against two by DS Polo/Rizvi’s to have a 4-2 lead. Remounts dominated the second and third chukkers by thrashing in three and one goal respectively to take 8-2 lead. They added one more in their tally in the fourth chukker to make it 9-2 while DS Polo/Rizvi’s pumped in two goals to reduce the margin to 9-4. The fifth and last chukker saw Remounts adding two more in their total against one by DS Polo/Rizvi’s to win the encounter by 11-5.   The third and last match of the day saw Newage Cables/Master Paints outsmarted Master Paints by 9-7. Gonzalo Deltour did the magic with his mallet and polo pony and smashed in superb eight goals while the remaining one was scored by Raja Temur Nadeem. For Master Paints, Marcos Panelo hammered a hat-trick of goals and Martin Carlos and Bilal Haye banged in a brace each.  New Cables/Master Paints hammered two back-to-back goals in the first chukker to take 2-0 lead. They added one more in their tally in the beginning of second chukker to gain a 3-0 lead before Master Paints bouncing back with three back-to-back goals to level the score at 3-3. Newage played better polo in the third chukker by firing in four goals against two by Master Paints to have a good lead of 7-5 lead. Both the teams pumped in one goal each in fourth and fifth chukkers with Newage Cables/Master Paints winning the encounter by 9-7.

Tower 21 Polo Super League: The Eagles, Remington Stars victorious
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-The Eagles and Remington Stars registered victories in the Tower 21 Polo Super League matches played here at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Sunday.  In the first match of the day, The Eagles outpaced ZS Lions by 6-4½. Ahmed Bilal Riaz and Shah Shamyl Alam were the heroes of the day for The Eagles as they contributed with two goals each while Hashim Kamal Agha and Ali Fareed scored one goal apiece. Fore ZS Lions, Agha Musa and Farasat Ali Chatha banged in a brace each while they also had a half goal handicap advantage.  The second match proved a thrilling encounter as Remington Stars defeated Platinum Homes Tigers by a close margin of 4-3. For Remington Stars, the top contributor were Bilal Noon and Hamza Mawaz Khan as both thrashed in two goals each while for Platinum Homes Tigers, Agha Musa, who replaced Atif Tiwana, slammed in two goals and Ali Tiwana converted one goal.  Tower 21 CEO Hamza Raza Malik graced the occasion as chief guest and witnessed and enjoyed the challenging and enthralling matches in the presence of Lahore Polo Club President Umer Sadik, executive committee members, players, their families and polo lovers.

Pakistan Open Polo: Newage/MP, Barry’s, FG Polo enjoy triumphs
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-Newage Cables/Master Paints, Barry’s and FG Polo carved out contrasting victories in the 1st President of Pakistan National Open Polo Championship 2022 sponsored by MidCity here at the Jinnah Polo Fields on Sunday.  The 1st match of the day was contested between Newage Cables/Master Paints and both the sides played outstanding polo against each other and matched fire-with-fire till the end but in the end, Newage Cables/Master Paints held their nerves and won the royal battle by a narrow margin of 7-6.  Gonzalo Deltour did the magic with his mallet and polo pony and remained instrumental in his team’s triumph. He fired in fabulous four goals for the winning team while his teammates Vieri Antonori banged in a beautiful brace and Raja Temur Nadeem struck one goal. For team Remounts, the major contribution came from their two top foreign players – Simon Prado and Nico Roberts – as both slammed in two goals each while Mumtaz Abbas Niazi and Imran Shahid converted one goal each but their efforts couldn’t bear fruit for their side. Remounts started well by banging in a brace but Newage Cables/Master Paints bounced back well and hammered a hat-trick to earn a slight 3-2 lead before the end of the first chukker. Newage added one more in their tally in the beginning of the second chukker to make it 4-2 but Remounts then made a good comeback to level the score at 4-4. The third and fourth chukker saw Newage scoring one goal each to have 6-4 lead but in the fifth and last chukker, Remounts reduce the margin to 6-5 followed by one from Newage, making it 7-5 and once again Remount converting one more, making it 6-7, thus Newage emerged as victorious by 7-6.   The second match of the day proved a one-sided affair as Barry’s proved too hot for BN Polo Team and outclassed them in every department of the game and won the crucial encounter by a huge margin of 10-3.  Hamza Mawaz Khan shone for Barry’s by displaying outstanding polo skills and techniques and emerged as top contributor by firing in five fantastic goals. His teammates Ernesto Oscar Trotz and Haracio Carlos also played superb polo and thrashed in three and two goals respectively. On the other hand, Amirreza Behboudi converted two goals and Julio Astrada one for the BN Polo Team.  Barry’s were off to a flying start as they fired in four goals in the first chukker to have a healthy 4-0 lead. The second chukker was evenly poised as both the teams scored one goal each, making it 5-1. Barry's played better polo in the third chukker by converting two against one goal by BN Polo to enhance their lead to 7-2. Barry’s banged in a brace in the fourth chukker to get a 9-2 lead while one goal each was converted in the fifth and last chukker, with Barry’s winning the match by 10-3.  The third match of the day saw FG Polo registering a comfortable 9-4 triumph over HN Polo. Juan Ambroggio was the man, whose heroics helped FG Polo score such an easy win as he contributed with three tremendous goals while Ramiro Zavaleta, Waqas Khan and Mian Abbas Mukhtar pumped in two beautiful goals each. For HN Polo, Tito Ruiz Ganizu (with 3 goals) and Hilario Ruiz Ginazu (with 1 goals) tried hard to help their side win but their efforts couldn’t bear fruit and they lost the match by 4-9.  The first chukker was evenly poised as both the sides struck one apiece to make it 1-1 yet FG Polo made a good comeback and hammered a hat-trick to gain a healthy 4-1 lead. HN played better polo in the third and fourth chukkers as they banged in two goals against one in the third chukker chukker to reduce the margin to 3-5 and then converted the only goal of the fourth chukker to make it 4-5. FG Polo finished the match in great style by cracking a quartet to win the encounter by 9-4.  The interesting and challenging matches were witnessed and enjoyed by Jinnah Polo Fields President Lt Col (R) Shoaib Aftab, Secretary Baber Mehboob Awan, players and their families and a great number of polo lovers. On Monday, three important league matches will be contested and after that, the quarterfinalists will be decided.

ZS Lions, Zacky Reapers win matches in Tower 21 Polo Super League
Sohail Khalid LAHORE:-ZS Lions and Zacky Reapers have won their respective matches in the Tower 21 Polo Super League here at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Saturday.  The first match of the day was contested between Remington Stars and ZS Lions, which remained the longest match of this season. The match was tied at 6-6 at the end of the fourth chukker and after fighting very hard in the fifth and last chukker, ZS Lions converted the match-winning goal to win the crucial encounter by a narrow margin of 7-6.  Farasat Ali Chatha was the hero of the day for ZS Lions as he played marvelous polo with mallet and pony and contributed with fabulous four goals while his teammates Col Omer Minhas, Agha Musa Ali Khan and Zuraiz Shahzad also played well and slammed in one goal apiece. For Remington Stars, Hamza Mawaz Khan did magic with the mallet and horse by cracking a classic quartet and Bilal Noon thrashed in two goals but their efforts couldn’t bear fruit for their side and they lost the match by 6-7.  The second match of the day was won by Zacky Reapers, who edged out The Eagles by a close margin of 4½-4. Mustafa Aziz was the star of the day for Zacky Farms, which had a half goal handicap advantage, with a beautiful contribution of two goals while Aleem Tiwana and Shah Qubilai Alam also played key roles in victory by converting one goal apiece. For The Eagles, Ali Fareed and Shah Shamyl Alam played outstanding polo and banged in a brace each but their efforts were futile in the end.

President Pakistan Open Polo Championship: Master Paints, Diamond Paints and FG Polo post victories
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-Master Paints, Diamond Paints and FG Polo teams have won their matches of the 1st President of Pakistan National Open Polo Championship 2022 here at the Jinnah Polo Fields on Friday. Marcos Panelo excelled with both mallet and polo pony as Master Paints outpaced DS Polo/Rizvi’s by 6-3. Marcos Panelo fired in five goals out of six they converted against their opponents while the reaming one was scored by Martin Carlos. For DS Polo/Rizvi’s, Max Charlton banged in two beautiful goals and Daniyal Sheikh struck one goal.  Master Paints dominated the match right from word go as they slammed in two back-to-back fields goals to take 2-0 lead in the first chukker and then converted 30-yard penalty to make it 3-0. DS Polo/Rizvi’s stamped their authority in the third chukker by banging in two back-to-back goals to reduce the margin to 3-2. Master Paints once again showed their class in the fourth chukker and pumped in two back-to-back goals to stretch their lead to 5-2. They added one more goal in their tally further enhance their lead to 6-2, while DS Polo/Rizvi’s fired in a field goal in the dying moments of the fifth and last chukker but Master Paints won the match by 6-3.  In the second match of the day, Diamond Paints played better polo against BN Polo Team and won the match by a close margin of 11-9. Guy Gibrat was the hero of the day as hammered double hat-trick for Diamond Paints while his teammates Matias Vial Perez hammered a hat-trick and Ahmad Ali Tiwana banged in a brace. For BN Polo Team, Amirreza Behboudi was top scorer with a contribution of six goals while Julio Astrada hammered a hat-trick.  BN Polo Team were off to a flying start as they thrashed in three goals against one by Diamond Paints to earn a good 3-1 lead in the first chukker. Diamond Paints played outstanding polo in the second chukker and fired in four fabulous goals to get a slight 5-3 lead while BN converted one to make it 4-5. Both the sides matched fire-with-fire in the third chukker and banged in a brace each with Diamond Paints still enjoying a slight 7-6 lead. Diamond Paints maintained their supremacy in the fourth chukker as they thrashed in three goals against two by BN Polo to further enhance their lead to 10-8 lead. The fifth and last chukker saw both the teams converting one goal apiece with Diamond Paints winning the well-contested match by 11-9.  The third match of the day was won by FG Polo Team, who outsmarted Barry’s by 9-6. For FG Polo Team, Juan Ambroggio was top scorer, as he smashed in superb seven goals while Ramiro Zavaleta banged in brace. For team Barry’s, Hamza Mawaz Khan played well and cracked four fabulous goal and Ernesto Trotz banged in a brace.  FG Polo started the match well and scored two goals against one by Barry’s to gain 2-1 lead by the end of the first chukker. Both the teams though converted one goal each in the second chukker yet FG Polo had a slight 3-2 lead. The third chukker was identical to the second one, where one goal each was slammed in by both the sides with FG Polo still enjoying 4-3 lead. At this crucial stage, FG Polo showed their class and this time, they managed to hammer an impressive hat-trick against one by Barry’s to gain a healthy 7-4 lead. In the fifth and last chukker, both FG Polo and Barry’s slammed in two goals each and in the end, FG Polo emerged winners with a margin of 9-6.
