From the Air Force side, Mushtaq, Mohsin, and Abdusattar each scored a goal. Bilal Akram scored the lone goal for Punjab A. Anwar Hussain International, Irfan Tahir, and Abdul Sattar supervised this match. Sports Bulletin ReportTorino (Italy): The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) has unfolded the calendar of events for 2024, featuring nine World Cups, and three Paraclimbing World Cup stages, as the opening event will be a first for the IFSC World Cup Series, with the Chinese city of Shanghai organising the inaugural Boulder competition.The first stop will be in Shanghai, scheduled from 16 to 19 May, while the second and conclusive event will be organised in Budapest, Hungary, kicking-off on 20 June and concluding on 23 June – the Olympic Day.Spotlights will then move back to the IFSC World Cup Series 2024, with the event in Innsbruck, Austria, being the final chance for Olympians to compete in both Boulder and Lead at the same event. The lead up to Paris 2024 will be at its peak in July, when two French cities – Chamonix and Briançon – will organise the last two World Cups before the Olympic Games.The Olympic Qualifier Series will award the final set of quota places for the Olympic Games Paris 2024 – surely the most anticipated event of the season – which will open on 26 July and close on 11 August. Sport Climbing competitions are scheduled from 5 to 10 August.The second half of August, as usual, will see the yearly Youth World Championships take place in China. The exact dates and location will be communicated at a later stage.Koper, Slovenia, and Prague, Czech Republic, are going to be the host cities of the two World Cup events organised in September, respectively in the Lead and Boulder disciplines.Finally, for the first time ever, the closing event of the IFSC World Cup Series will see all six season trophies being awarded at the same time. 463 players from 16 countries participate in the mega martial arts event of the regionSports Bulletin ReportISLAMABAD: As many as 16 countries, including Pakistan, have confirmed their participation in the 5th COMBAXX Asian Open Taekwondo Championship, which will be held at Liaquat Gymnasium of Pakistan Sports Complex, under the auspices of the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF).According to an official of PTF Mr Najam, the countries include England, Netherlands, Turkey, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Oman, Kazakhstan, Palestine, Nepal, Afghanistan, WT Refugees, Saudi Arabia, Luxembourg, Jordan, Mali, and the host Pakistan will fight for top honour.The registration process of 268 athletes has been completed. Before the mega championship, under the auspices of the Asian Taekwondo Union in collaboration with the PTF, 5-day Kyrugi, and Poomsae education courses will be held from October 27 to 31 at the Islamabad Sports Complex, in which international coaches and managers from different countries including Pakistan will participate.The Asian Taekwondo Union Referees Education Course will be held on October 29 and 30, as well as the education programme of Khyrougi and Poomsae will also be conducted from 27 to 31 October 2023 at Pakistan Sports Board, Islamabad.

With dedication and unwavering commitment, both President Sörling and the ITTF are poised to actively contribute to the Olympic Movement and the global community. In response to her election, Sörling expressed, “I am deeply humbled and grateful to have been elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee. This is not just an honour but also a significant responsibility that I am ready to embrace. “This is even more momentous as this is the first time for the International Table Tennis Federation to see its President become an IOC Member, making this a historic chapter for our sport as well. As I step into this new role, I am driven by my passion for sport. In the realm of table tennis, she achieved a historic milestone in 2021 by becoming ITTF President, making her the first woman to attain this prestigious position. Prior to this, she served as Vice-President of ITTF from 2009 to 2013, before taking on the role of Vice-President Finance from 2013 to 2021. Outside of ITTF, Petra served as the Deputy President and Board Member of the Swedish Table Tennis Association (2003 – 2013), before serving as President of the Swedish TTA (2013-2022). Furthermore, she held the position of Vice-President of the European Table Tennis Union (2007-2009). These roles underscore her profound commitment to advancing the sport of table tennis. Her contributions to the Olympic Movement include participation in the International Olympic Academy (IOA) Young Leader Programme (2002) and her current role as a Member of the IOC Gender Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee (2022-). Beyond table tennis, Sörling contributes her expertise to the Swedish National Olympic Committee (NOC) as a Board Member since 2021. She also serves as an Executive Committee Member of the International Masters Games Association (IMGA) since 2022. In 2023, she added to her portfolio by joining the Board of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Foundation and becoming a Member of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) Council.
National Hockey Championship: Army beat Gilgit Baltistan 13-0
RAWAPINDI (Press Release): Pakistan Army thrashed Gilgit Baltistan 13-0nin the 67th National Hockey Championship, which is in progress at the lt. Gen. Ishfaq Nadeem Hockey Stadium in Rawalpindi, a collaborative effort by the Pakistan Hockey Federation and the Army Welfare Trust. The championship's fifth day witnessed a series of matches where special guests graced each encounter. In the first match, Pakistan Army faced off against Gilgit Baltistan, emerging victorious with a remarkable 13-0 score. Led by Osman's four goals, the Army's strong performance showcased their prowess on the field, while Shafqat and Ahmed Suroor, among others, contributed to the commanding win. The match was supervised by Umpire Asif Ali and Shahzaib, with Rizwan Khan serving as the reserve umpire. The second match saw Sindh A and Rangers engaged in a fierce battle, resulting in a draw of 0-0. Both teams displayed exceptional defense, with the match ending without any goals. The umpires for this match were Amir Hamza and Waqas Butt, with Mohammad Salim as the reserve umpire.In the third match, Balochistan B faced off against Islamabad, securing a victory with a score of 2-1.
