Two Pakistani to participate in OCA–AMMA Referee & Coaches Development Program
Islamabad (Sports Report): Isra Waseem and Mozzam Ali will participate in the 1st Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) – Asian Mixed Martial Arts Association (AMMA) Development Program for Coaches and Referees, which will be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain from August 25 t0 27, 2025.According to an official, the program brings together 57 coaches and 51 referees from 30 National Olympic Committees, under the guidance of 11 expert instructors, and represents a significant step forward in the growth and professionalization of Mixed Martial Arts across Asia.Dr. Isra Waseem, Pakistan’s first qualified female international MMA referee, has been selected to attend the International Referee Development Course. Also, Mozzam Ali, a dedicated MMA coach, has been selected to participate in the International Coaches Development Course.Zulfiqar Ali, President PMMAF said: “We are deeply grateful to the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) for supporting our referees and coaches to participate in this important program. This is not only a major achievement for MMA in Pakistan but also lays the foundation for the sport’s future growth. Together, we will continue to work for the advancement of MMA in our country.”

Perth Scorchers beat Pakistan Shaheens to qualify for Top End T20 Series final
 Darwin, Australia (SBR): Perth Scorchers beat Pakistan Shaheens by 48 runs in the first semi-final of the Top End T20 Series at the Gardens in Darwin on Sunday morning. This was Shaheens’ second successive loss at the semi-final stage, having lost to Adelaide Strikers in the first semi-final of last year’s edition at the DXC Arena.After being put into bat, Scorchers scored 155 for eight in their 20 overs. They were in a spot of bother in the middle of their innings, as they lost six wickets for 69 courtesy of complete domination by the spin trio of Faisal Akram, Mehran Mumtaz and Saad Masood.At that point, Nicholas Hobson was joined by Matthew Kelly, and the pair added 44 runs for the seventh wicket to take their score beyond the 100 mark. They eventually finished on 155 for eight in their allotted 20 overs. Hobson top-scored with a 43-ball 59, which included seven fours and two sixes, while Kelly contributed 23 off 19 balls, hitting one four and two sixes.Shaheens’ right-arm leg-spinner Saad was the most successful bowler, taking three wickets for 21 runs, while Mehran and Mohammad Wasim Jnr bagged two wickets each. Left-arm spinner Faisal managed to pick up a wicket, conceding 36 runs in the process.In reply, Shaheens lost three wickets inside five overs with only 17 runs on the board. Khawaja Nafay and captain Muhammad Irfan Khan then came together and added 38 runs for the fourth wicket before right-handed batter Nafay was run out for 26 off 24 balls, which included one four and two sixes.Irfan, who was named player of the match in the previous game against Nepal, was dismissed for 17 off 15 balls, hitting one four. Sub: ACB to host Bangladesh for a white-ball series in October
Sports Bulletin ReportKabul: The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has confirmed that it would host Bangladesh for a white-ball series, consisting of three ODIs and as many T20I matches from October 2 to 14 in the UAE.The series will begin with its T20I leg and will see both teams go head-to-head in the first T20I match scheduled for October 2, with the 2nd and 3rd T20Is scheduled to be played on the 3rd and 5th of October.The T20I series will be followed by three ODIs, which are scheduled to be played on October 8, 11 and 14th of the same month in the UAE. Naseeb Khan, CEO of ACB said: "We are proud to host Bangladesh in this highly anticipated series. Revised schedule announced for ICC Women’s World Cup 2025
Islamabad (Sports Desk): A revised schedule for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 has been announced with Navi Mumbai replacing Bengaluru as one of the five venues for the eight-team tournament.The DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai will host up to five fixtures comprising three league matches, a semifinal and potentially the final after a rejig was necessitated because of the unavailability of Bengaluru’s M. 48-team FIFA World Cup to take place in Canada, Mexico, and the United StatesIslamabad (Sports Report): On Friday, 5 December 2025, the world will discover the group-stage matches to be contested at the FIFA World Cup 26™, with all eyes set to converge on the Kennedy Center in Washington DC for the final draw. As announced by the President of the United States and Chairman of the Kennedy Center, Donald J. Trump, and FIFA President Gianni Infantino at the White House, the Kennedy Center will serve as the location for team officials, ambassadors, fans representing the tournament’s Host Cities and global media representatives, amongst others, to unite, as one of the major milestones on the path to the biggest and most engaging FIFA World Cup™ ever is held. The Kennedy Center is America’s national cultural centre and a living memorial to President John F. Kennedy, attracting millions of visitors each year to more than 2,000 performances, events and exhibits. Pakistan to participate in Senior's World Tenpin Bowling Championship
Abdul Jabbar FaisalISLAMABAD: A 4-member national team will represent Pakistan in the forthcoming Senior World Tenpin Bowling Championship, which will be rolled into action on October 13, 2025 at the National Bowling Stadium, Reno, Nevada, United States of America (USA).According to an official of Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation (PTBF), Ijaz-ur-Rehman, Mohammad Hussain, Shabbir Lashkar, and Aleem Agha will show their muscles in the 10 days international bowling showpiece. Abdul Jabbar FaisalISLAMABAD: Three players, Shayan Afridi, Rashid Bachani, Mohammad Ibraheem Hussain Gill, and an official, Mohammad Nameer Shamsi have left for Singapore to participate in the ATF Under-12 & Under-Team Competition Finals, scheduled to be held from August 25 to 30, 2025.According to an official of Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), Pakistan secured their place in the Final after clinching the ATF U12 Regional Qualifying Event of South Asia in Sri Lanka in May 2025. Saleema Imtiaz to officiate in Pakistan v South Africa women’s series
Lahore (PR): Pakistan’s Saleema Imtiaz will officiate in her first ODI bilateral series when she takes the field during the upcoming three-match women’s ODI series between Pakistan and South Africa in Lahore, with the PCB confirming the match officials for the series.The three-match ODI series will be staged at the Gaddafi Stadium from 16 to 22 September.Saleema, who is part of the ICC International Panel of Umpires will be joined by Australia’s Claire Polosak, who returns to Pakistan after officiating in the Pakistan v West Indies women’s series last year in Karachi. Gilani urges players to learn from Head Coach Nolberto Solano
Lahore (SBR): The President of the Pakistan Football Federation, Syed Mohsen Gilani, has stated that Pakistan has never had a coach of such a high pDuring a press conference held at the Pakistan Football Federation, President Syed Mohsen Gilani, accompanied by Head Coach Nolberto Solano, emphasised that Solano’s presence would provide a valuable learning opportunity for local coaches.“His experience will play a key role in strengthening modern football in Pakistan and motivating our players,” Gilani stated. He also highlighted the launch of Pakistan’s first-ever national futsal team, which is currently preparing to participate in an international tournament for the very first time. Gilani further added that FIFA and the AFC have assured their full support for Pakistan’s football development.Newly appointed Head Coach of the Pakistan U23 and Senior Men’s National Teams, Nolberto Solano, a former Peruvian international footballer and experienced coach, shared his vision for Pakistan football.“First of all, I want to thank PFF President Syed Mohsen for giving me this opportunity.
