Sports Bulletin ReportISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board appointed Juniad Khan, a former left-arm pacer Pakistan Under-19 team bowling coach, following the unavailability of Rehan Riaz, who has opted out of the ICC U19 World Cup due to a family emergency.Junaid, who previously served as the head coach of Islamabad Region, led the team to victory in the Hanif Mohammad Trophy and Hanif Mohammad Cup 2023-24. The 34-year-old cricketer has represented Pakistan in 107 international matches, taking 189 wickets.

Ahmed Nael Qureshi outplayed Mohammad Hamza Aasim 2-0 in the Under-18 final with the score-line of 6-3, and 6-2 to lift the title.Sarah Mahbbob and Meheq Khokhar set to meet in the Ladies’ Singles final after defeating their respective opponents in the semifinals. The final will be played on Sunday at 10:00 am. Sports Bulletin ReportLAHORE: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) with assistance from FIFA, conducted a five-day Member Associations Elite Refereeing Course 2023 at Football House, Lahore.The course, featuring 30 referees from various regions nationwide, commenced on December 26, 2023, and reached its conclusion today in Lahore.Mohammad Rodzali, a FIFA Referee Development Officer and Khalidi Bin Supian, a Physical Fitness Instructor from Malaysia dedicated five days to sharing their expertise with a group of 30 male and female referees and instructors. By engaging in theoretical and practical discussions, they facilitated a comprehensive learning experience for the referees. In the closing ceremony, after distributing the certificates among participants Member Pakistan Football Federation Normalisation Committee Mohammad Shahid Niaz Khokhar, said: "I would like to thank Mr Rodzali who came here to teach referees new things according to FIFA and AFC standards. He extended his best wishes to all the participants who not only acquired new knowledge but would also pass it on and officiate in future matches and reinforced the commitment to improving the refereeing landscape in Pakistan. We want them to always be on top of the game and never doubt themselves,” he added.
Mohammad Jawadullah hopes to show notable performance in ILT20
Sports Bulletin ReportDubai (UAE): Mohammad Jawadullah, who was a regular in tennis ball cricket, was an unknown entity in the professional cricket circuit until he took part in a nationwide talent hunt for bowlers in April 2022 organized under the watchful eyes of Robin Singh, the coach of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) national cricket team.Rest is history, as he did debut for the UAE national team in both ODI’s and T20I’s in 2023 and he credits his exposure in the DP World International League T20 for propelling his career. “I went into the first edition of the DP World ILT20 without any experience. Once I got to play more and more games, it not only helped me build my confidence but the exposure even helped me to get my first international cap for UAE in both ODI and T20I for the UAE. The learning process hasn’t stopped. I’m looking to get better with every passing day,” he said.The 24-year-old left arm quick spoke about his first time on such a big stage with a great deal of delight. “The DP World ILT20 is a very big tournament and I was indeed fortunate to have been included in the Sharjah Warriors squad for the first edition. This was my first taste of cricket with world-class players. The feeling was surreal and will stay with me for life,” he said. For the Season 2 of Gulf region’s biggest T20 League scheduled to begin on 19 January, Mohammad Jawadullah has been retained by the Sharjah Warriors. He was part of the same franchise in the inaugural edition of the tournament where they finished fifth and will look to help the team better their performance in the forthcoming edition.

The final score-line was 6-7 (3), 6-4, and (10-4).In the first semifinal of the men’s doubles event, Muzammil Murtaza pairing with Mohammad Shoaib displayed top-quality tennis against the best pair in the country. After losing the first set 6-7, Aisam ul Haq Qureshi and Aqeel Khan struggled hard on the court to bounce back in the match. They won the second set at 6-4. The final score was 6-7 (3), 6-4, (10-4). Hockey Federation invites 49 players for training camp in Islamabad

The final selected team will participate in the Paris Olympics Qualifier, which will take place in Muscat, Oman from January 15 to 21. Mir Tariq Bugti restores former national hockey selection committee
LAHORE (Press Release): The newly appointed president, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Mir Tariq Hussain Bugti has restored the former national hockey selection committee, which was working under the chairmanship of Olympian Kaleemullah.According to the press release of PHF, Tariq Bugti also brought back hockey team management, led by Head Coach Shahnaz Sheikh. Instructions have been issued to PHF Executive Secretary Ali Abbas to take charge of his responsibilities, and Olympian Khalid Bashir has been appointed as the Director Administration.PHF President Mir Tariq Hussain Bugti has wasted no time in making major decisions as he takes charge at the PHF headquarters. The national hockey selection committee, as documented in the records of the Pakistan Sports Board, has been reinstated. The selection committee was working under the leadership of Olympian Kaleemullah Khan, includes Olympians Naseer Ali, Rahim Khan, and Leek Lashari International.President PHF Mir Tariq Hussain Bugti has also reinstated the national senior hockey team management. Under Head Coach Olympian Shahnaz Sheikh, the senior national hockey team management includes Olympian Shakeel Abbasi, Olympian Dilawar Hussain, and Amjad Ali International as the goalkeeper coach. Physical trainer Mohammad Imran will fulfill his responsibilities, while the appointment of a video analyst will be decided later.PHF President Mir Tariq Hussain Bugti has issued immediate instructions to PHF Executive Secretary Ali Abbas to take charge of his responsibilities at the Pakistan Hockey Federation.
