Pakistan Amateur Olympia to stage international event next month in Islamabad
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD:-The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the International Fitness Expo (IFE), Arif Mirza has revealed that the biggest sports event in the history of Pakistan would be held next month August 2022 at Pak-China Friendship Center Islamabad under the banner of Amateur Olympia Bodybuilding. “The the two-day international event will be inaugurated on August 13, as over 300 bodybuilders from top 80 nations of the world including India will participate in the event. Internationally Known Bodybuilders Roelly Winkler and Tom Coleman will also be adding glory to this event by posing as special guests of this event, “he added.  Arif Mirza further said that this would be a golden opportunity for the body building participants to win pro-cards in three main categories; Men's BodyBuilding, Men's Physique, and Men's Classic Physique respectively, in each category there is 3 pro-cards, the Pakistani bodybuilders who are deprived of such chances to participate in major events. “This is a great opportunity for them, to prepare well and participate in this event and by winning pro-cards make their way to Mr. Olympia, “he maintained. “No body builder in Pakistan has won any pro-card. There are few bodybuilders with pro-cards but they are not living in Pakistan, more to that Pakistani bodybuilders have not made it ahead of Mr. Pakistan competitions, and there are no international level body building events here in Pakistan. But, now bodybuilders from Pakistan have this chance to prove their skills and move forward, also to step up from Amateur Body Building to Professional BodyBuilding, “he replied to a question. Arif Mirza said, “I want Pakistani bodybuilders to have a competent place on international level, because we don't have any less potential bodybuilders but due to scarcity of opportunities they are lagging far behind, now to motivate them ahead is the main mission of this event so, this is why such major event is being organized in Pakistan, “he concluded.

British Acting High Commissioner visits Usman Wazeer Boxing Academy
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD:-British Acting High Commissioner, Andrew Dalgleish, visited the Usman Wazeer Boxing Academy, Islamabad on Wednesday to meet athletes and coaches ahead of the opening of the UK’s Birmingham Commonwealth Games (Thursday). Pakistan has sent a 102-member delegation to Birmingham to compete in 12 different sports. Pakistan’s female contingent at these Games is the biggest ever with 25 athletes set to compete and is also making history: women’s cricket is featuring for the first time in the Birmingham Games. Accompanied by Ismat Ullah Mahr, the Academy’s Head Coach, the Acting High Commissioner received boxing tips from the pro-athletes, including Usman Wazeer, the first Pakistani to win the Asian Boxing Federation Welterweight title. He also met with female athletes, who hope one day to become the next stars of the Commonwealth Games. British Acting High Commissioner Andrew Dalgleish said: “Sport brings people together with the Birmingham Games showing how the UK and Pakistan are ek saath in our 75 year partnership. I am delighted that we will see a record number of Pakistani female athletes competing, inspiring the next generation of girls in the UK, Pakistan and around the world.”

A New Chapter Begins for the IWF
Sports Bulletin Report Lausanne, (Switzerland):-The new Executive Board of the International Weightlifting Federation met at the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland. Coming together for the first time since their election, there was a packed agenda set for the new leadership. Among the most important topics was the Olympic status as well as the foundation and future of weightlifting. The discussions focused on the core principles of the IWF, including reviewing the past culture versus the new philosophy of the organisation and next steps in continuing to clean up the sport. Each member of the Executive Board committed to supporting the good governance initiatives already implemented and to the continued improvement of transparency and integrity within the sport. Furthermore, concrete steps were agreed including commissioning the International Testing Agency (ITA) to increase the number of out-of-competitions tests. Additionally, an international auditing firm will now be appointed to perform a detailed financial, governance and operational due diligence of the IWF covering the past ten years. The final report will be presented to the IWF Ordinary Congress in December this year. Also, using the learnings from the recent Electoral Congress, a review of the IWF Constitution will be made to identify any needs for adjusting operational regulations. And lastly, an adjustment will be made to the current financial management regulations and procedures to ensure a clear link between costs and obtained results. IWF President Mohammed Jaloud commented: “It was great to have the new Executive Board come together here in Lausanne, the Olympic Capital, and home of the IWF headquarters. With so many new Executive Board members, it was important for us to come together in unity to focus on the future of our sport. We are moving forward on all fronts and are strictly in line with the IOC requirements.” IWF General Secretary Antonio Urso said:  “This was a very productive first meeting with the new Executive Board, there was a lot of positive energy. We had some great discussions and made some important decisions for weightlifting; we are looking forward to sharing more on next steps with our members and partners in the coming weeks and months ahead.
 Jadoon Khan claims top position in Tent Pegging individual competitions
Sports Bulletin Report PESHAWAR:-Jadoon Khan of Abbottabad has won the title of Tent Pegging competition that held under the auspices of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Department, for the first time in the history of Peshawar. Nematullah Khan of Karak grabbed the second position while Azhar Nawaz Khan claimed third. Special guests on the occasion were Director General Sports Khalid Khan, accompanied by Director Finance Tariq Khan, Director Operations Azizullah Jan, Deputy Director Operations Jamshed Baloch, Shah Faisal Afridi, Assistant Director Hamid Khan, Assistant Director Ashfaq Ahmed. Administrative Officer Irshad Khan, Zakirullah and Organizing Secretary Wahid Bakhsh among others were also present on the occasion. Horse riders from different areas of Attock, Fateh Jang, Faisalabad, Multan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa participated in the competitions. In individual event, Khan Jadoon Khan of Abbottabad bagged the first position, Nematullah Khan of Karak bagged the second position and Azhar Nawaz Khan bagged the third position. Led by Khan, Al-Kabeer Awan Club Bannu bagged the first position, Baba Shangla Club bagged the second position and Abdalin Haris Hussain Club bagged the third position in team event.   -
Tariq Khan Jalbai team win Oxen Race
Sports Bulletin Report PESHAWAR:-Tariq Khan Jalbai’s team won the Oxen Race that held under the auspices of Directorate General of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), as the traditional games started in Nowshera district. According to the results, Tariq Khan Jalbai's team won the first, Amanullah Khan Ghalla Dheer's team won the second, Hussain Kaka's team won the third, Naheed Sarad Cheena won the fourth, Muzaffar Shah Mian Issa won the fifth, Ghalib Gul won the sixth and Sani Gul Kaka Pir Sabaq won the seventh. At the end, the special guest distributed prizes among the winners of the bull race. Were Member Provincial Assembly Ibrahim Khattak was the chief guest on the occasion along with Director Sports Operations Aziz A. Jan, Deputy Director Jamshed Baloch, District Sports Officer Nowshera, Assistant Director Zakir, Assistant Director Ashfaq Ahmed and other dignitaries and a large number of spectators.
United Kings win Federal Cup Basketball Tournament
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD:-Federal Cup 3x3 Men & Women Basketball Tournament held under the banner of Federal Basketball Association (FBA) in collaboration with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) / Municipal Corporation Islamabad (MCI) at F-6, Multi-Purpose Sports Centre, Islamabad. As many as 28 teams participated in the men’s event from twin cities Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Teams were divided in to 4 pools. After group stage 8 teams qualified for quarter finals. In the first quarter final United Kings-A outclassed Bulls-A by 14 to 12 points. In the second quarter final Timber Wolves-A defeated Dynamites by 13 to 10 points. In the third quarter final Bull-B beat Raptors-A by 14 to 12 points. In the fourth quarter final Raptors-B beat Zooties by 14 to 08 points. The first semi-final was played between United Kings-A and Timber Wolves-A. The match was won by United Kings-A by 14 to 07 points to qualify for the final. Meanwhile, in the second semi-final Bulls-B defeated Raptors-B by 17 to 10 points to reach the final. In the final match, United Kings-A outclassed Bulls-B to win first ever Federal Cup by 17 to 12 points.  In the Women event, six teams took part from twin cities. 3 each team were divided into two pools. After group stage 4 teams qualified for semi-finals. In the first semi-final, Bahria-A overcame Lycans-B by 6 to 2 points to reach final. In the second semi-finals Lycans-A outplayed easily Bahria-A by 08 to 03 points and qualified for final. In the final match, Lycans-A defeated Bahria-A by 08 to 03 points and lift Federal Cup title. Brig (Retd) Iftikhar Mansoor, President, Pakistan Basketball Federation was the chief guest and distributed the cash prizes and souvenirs amongst the winning and runner-up teams. He briefly stated the history of Basketball and pointed out that Basketball was the popular in Islamabad. Pakistan was a force at the regional stage as the team won the silver medal at the 2013 SABA Championship and three silver medals at the South Asian Games.
Pakistan win International Savate Championship with 8 gold 4 silver medals
Ali Ahmed Ch LAHORE:-Pakistan team exhibited a wonderful performance and won the 3rd International Savate Championship with 8 gold 4 silver medals against Sri Lanka at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall on Friday. Sri Lankan team grabbed 6 gold and equal number of silver medals in the championship held under the auspices of Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab. Director General Sports Punjab Mohammad Tariq Qureshi distributed prizes at the closing ceremony of 3rd Pak-Sri Lanka International Savate Championship. Director Sports Nadeem Qaiser, President Sri Lankan Savate Federation Prasad Wickramasinghe, DSO Tanveer Shah, Secretary Ambreen Iftikhar and administrator NPSC Mustfa Shah and other officials were also present on this occasion. Pak-Sri Lanka International Savate Championship starts
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE: Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Asadullah Faiz and Director General Sports Punjab Mohammad Tariq Qureshi inaugurated 3rd Pak-Sri Lanka International Savate Championship at a grand colourful opening ceremony at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall on Thursday. Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Asadullah Faiz and Director General Sports Punjab Mohammad Tariq Qureshi also unveiled the championship trophy before being introduced to both Pakistan and Sri Lankan teams and their officials. Pakistan and Sri Lankan contingents and their officials also had group photographs with both guests of honours prior to the Savate competitions. Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Asadullah Faiz and Director General Sports Punjab Mohammad Tariq Qureshi also exchanged souvenirs at the inaugural ceremony and witnessed exciting competitions of 3rd Pak-Sri Lanka International Savate Championship. Director Sports Nadeem Qaiser, Director Youth Affairs Syed Omair Hasan, DSO Tanveer Shah, Secretary Ambreen Iftikhar, President Sri Lankan Savate Federation Prasad Wickramasinghe, coach Lanka Rathnayake, captain K Dilaxiny, Pakistan team coach Saeed Butt and captain Daood Mirza were also present on this occasion. Talking to the media at the grand colourful opening ceremony, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Asadullah Faiz thanked the Sri Lankan Savate contingent for touring Pakistan. “Hosting Pak-Sri Lanka 3rd International Savate Championship is definitely a big honour for all of us. Now, Pakistan is hosting major sports events regularly, which reflects that our country is a safe and secure place for international sports competitions”. Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Asadullah Faiz further said that after Pak-Sri Lanka 3rd International Savate Championship, Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab is planning to host more international sports events in future. “Female athletes are participating in 9 events out of 13 competitions during the championship which is good omen. It is enough to gauge that the Sports and Youth Affairs Department Punjab is putting special emphasis on the growth of sports culture among females of the province”. As per results, on the first day of 3rd Savate Championship, the first 60kg fight between Pakistan and Sri Lankan women finished as draw while Pakistan women emerged winner in the second 56kg second fight. In the third -46kg fight, Sri Lankan boy Abdur Rasheed defeated his Pakistani counterpart quite comfortably. The last bout was fought between Pakistan and Sri Lankan women in the -36kg weight category in which the guest team emerged triumphant.

Pakistan Rugby Union holds Educators Super week in Lahore
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU) successfully held an Educators Super week in Lahore. According to information provided by PRU President Arif Saeed, that PRU has always promoted rugby at grassroots levels and we have very good players all over Pakistan. Last month, when Asia Rugby Div II was held in Pakistan, we hired all the field coaches for this event and that experience was very successful. Afterwards, we will have to hold a Super week for our participants to become Certified World Rugby Educators' and it was held in Lahore. As many as 13 participants from all over Pakistan participated. The course was conducted by Various Professional educators of World Rugby including Gene Tong World Rugby Trainer, Chua Lewis Young Hwee Strength & Condition Educator, Selvaraj Merianne Kokilam Medical Educator, Dilroy Fernando Match officials Educators and Shakeel Ahmed Provisional Trainer Coaching among the panel of coaches for this event.  This was a very successful super week for Educators in which all field experts have trained local coaches and now PRU have 13 Educators in all Strands, Arif added. Now these Educators are eligible to certify more Level 1 Coaches in their respective areas which will help us to promote more Rugby.  Zahir udin, Abdul Muqeet, Mohammad Waseem, Ali Hayder Bukhari, Umar Islam, Medical Educators Mohammad Bin Zia, Hafiz Ehtasham ul Haq, Talha Usman, Match Officials Educators Kamal Ahmed, Ghalib Javed, for Strength & Condition Mohammad Babar, Jahangir Nawaz and Mohammad Abdullah were among the participants.

Prime Minister National Para Games from June 26, 2022
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD:-The 1st Prime Minister of Pakistan National Para Games will start from June 26 to 29, 2022 at Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad under the banner of Pakistan Blinds’ Sports Federation (PBSF), president PBSF Mohammad Waqas Warraieh revealed this in press conference at national Press Club on Saturday. He further told media persons that the closing ceremony would be held on June 29 at the same venue and likely Prime Minister of Pakistan Main Shahbaz Sharif would be the chief guest and distribute the prizes among the athletes. “Director General, Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Asif Zaman will grace the opening ceremony as chief guest at Jinnah Stadium, Pakistan Sports Complex, “he added. Former player of national blinds’ cricket team Mohammad Waqas further added that the 25 sports disciplines would be the part of Para Games including football, swimming, judo, chess, athletics, base ball, goal ball, power-lifting, track cycling, archery. “PM released one million rupees for this event. “120 male and female players from Balochistan, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber PakhtuneKawa (KPK), Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Gilgit Bultistan and Islamabad will take part in the event, “he maintained.
