ISLAMABAD:-Malaysia Wheelchair Tennis defeated Australia 2-1 in the final of the BNP Paribas ITF Wheelchair Tennis Qualifier Cup concluded at Megasaray Tennis Academy Antalya Turkey, Pakistan got 4th position, as they were beaten by Iraq in the third position play-off.
According to an official of Pakistan Wheelchair Tennis, Malaysia after this remarkable victory have confirmed their berth in the World Group fixture, which shall be held in Portugal in May 2022. Malaysia beat Australia in the Final of Asian regions with 2-1 sets
Meanwhile ITF Wheelchair medical eligibility qualifications tests were held of Pakistan team and now all Pakistani players are eligible to take part in all the international wheelchair tennis competition s including Asian Paralympic, China later this year.
Mohammad Khalid Rehmani,vice president Pakistan Tennis Federation held detailed meeting with ITF Wheelchair head Alistair and Suzi ( Development officer ITF) .ITF promised to support for the Development of Wheelchair Tennis in Pakistan and will also finance a workshop to prepare a pool of qualified coaches for Wheelchair Tennis in country.
