Islamabad:-Defending Champions WAPDA and Pakistan Army thrashed their opponents Islamabad white and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa respectively in the ongoing National Women’s Basketball Championship at Liaquat Gymnasium, Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad.
Eight teams including defending champion Pakistan Wapda, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Islamabad whites, Pakistan Army, Lahore, Islamabad Blues and Peshawar are taking part in the five days championship which will be concluded on October 07th organized by the Federal Basketball Association.
In the first match, Army claimed an easy encounter against KPK by 73-14 points. Ayesha Khan scored 16 points while Fajar Fatima 12 while Amna Bibi scored 10 points for Army.
In the second match, Defending champions Pakistan Wapda beat Islamabad by 81-16 in a single sided affair. Amina Mukhtar scored 15 and Hijab Fatima scored 14 points for the winning team.
In the third match, Karachi outclassed Rawalpindi 15-6. Hiba Faraz scores 8 for the winning side.
