Shameer and Sara Amin honour to participate in “The Royal Junior Golf Championship”

ISLAMABAD: Two Pakistani rising golf players, Shahmeer Maajid and Sara Amin Khan, are honoured to represent their country in the Royal Junior Golf Championship, which took place from April 18 to 20 in Japan.

According to an official of the Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF), the prestigious international event featured some of the top under-18 junior golfers from across Asia, and was conducted under the auspices of the R&A, Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC), and Nippon Kabaya Ohayo Holdings Inc.

Shahmeer Maajid, competing in the Boys Under-18 category, finished 37th on the final leaderboard with a total score of 24 over par. Despite a tough field and challenging conditions, Shahmeer displayed resilience and determination throughout all three rounds.

Sara Amin Khan, competing in the Girls Under-18 category, secured the 42nd position with a final score of 30 over par. Her participation in this high-level international event marked a significant step forward in her golfing career.

PGF commends both juniors for their commitment, sportsmanship, and for proudly representing Pakistan at an international platform. PGF remains committed to nurturing junior talent and will continue to provide opportunities and exposure to young golfers through international competitions and development programs.
