ISLAMABAD: Rising national tennis player, Muzzamil Murtaza has won the title of the 9th Benazir Bhutto Shaheed National Tennis Championship 2023 after beating Pakistan No.2 Mohammad Shoaib in the men’s singles final here at Islamabad Tennis Complex on Sunday.
Muzzamil Murtaza, who had eliminated Pakistan No. 1 Aqeel Khan in the semifinal, maintained his winning pace and outplayed Mohammad Shoaib in straight sets 2-0 with the final score-line of 6-1, and 7-5 to lift the title of prestigious national tennis fixture.
Senator Farahatullah Babar graced the closing ceremony as chief guest and distributed the prizes among the winners and runner-up players of all categories competitions.

Ladies’ Singles: Sara Mehboob beat Amna Ali Qayum 7-5, 6-1
Girls’ Single Under-18: Amna Ali Qayum beat Shiza Sajjid 6-3, 6-2
Boys’ Single Under-12: Shayan Afridi beat Raziq Sultan 4-0, 4-2
Boys’ Under 10: Rashid Ali Bachani beat Mohammad Faizan 4-2, 4-2.
