ISLAMABAD: Local player, Hamza Roman and Kiagaoge Kang from neighbor country China set their clash in the final of the ITF Pakistan Khawar Hyat Khan Memorial World Junior Championship Leg-1 after thrashing their challengers in Boys’ Singles semifinal here at PTF-SDA Tennis Complex on Friday. All finals will be played on Saturday (February 17, 2024) at the same venue.
In the first semifinal, Hamza Roman ousted second seed player Dong Hyeon from Korea in straight sets with the score-line of 6-4, and 6-2. Local guy displayed to quality tennis to secure his berth in the championship match. Meanwhile in the second semifinal, Kiagaoge Kang from China toiled hard on the court to get-rid-off Ahmad Nael Qureshi from Pakistan after a well-contested three sets match. The final score-line was 6-4, 3-6, and 6-2.
