ISLAMABAD:-An outstanding performance by Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Aqeel Khan helped Pakistan to overpower Lithuania 3-2 in the Davis Cup Tennis Tie World Group-1 at the gross courts of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) in the premises of Pakistan Sports Complex on Saturday.
Tie was leveled on Friday 1-1, as it was important day for the both teams. Aisam and Aqeel took the Pakistan ahead at 2-1 after winning crucial Doubles fixture 2-1, as lot of ups and down came during the over two hours match. At one stage, in the second set, Green Shirts were down at 4-5 and need to must break the opponents serve.

1st Singles: Aqeel Khan (Pakistan) beat Laurynas Grigelis (Lithuania) 2-1 (7-6, 3-6, 6-3) 1 hour & 14 minutes
2nd Singles: Berankis Ricards (Lithuania) beat Mohammad Shoaib (Pakistan) 2-1 (6-4, 7-6, 6-4) 2 hours & 23 minutes
Doubles: Aisam-ul-Haq & Aqeel Khan (Pakistan) beat Laurynas Grigelis & Berankis Ricards (Lithuania) 2-1 (4-6, 7-6, 7-5) 2 hours and 11 minutes
Reverse Singles-1: Berankis Ricards (Lithuania) beat Aqeel Khan (Pakistan) 2-1 (6-7, 7-6, 6-4) 2 hours & 29 minutes
Reverse Singles-1: Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi (Pakistan) beat Edes Batvilas (Lithuania) 2-0 (6-4, 7-6) 1 hour & 37 minutes
