Thailand beat Pakistan 20-15 in the first match of Asia Rugby Div-II Championship
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-Thailand defeated Pakistan 20-15 in the first match of the Asia Rugby Division-II Championship 2022 at Punjab Stadium, Lahore Sunday night. Despite the defeat in the first match, Pakistan still have bright chances to  qualify for Division-I, if they defeat Thailand in the second match, which will be played on June 1 at the Punjab Stadium, Lahore. At the moment Thailand's team is up by 5 points so the Pakistan need to earn a victory with a margin. Thailand scored penalties in the first half, followed by a try by the Pakistan team, which had a 7-to-6 edge at the halftime. Pakistan placed a lot of pressure on the Thailand team in the second half but missed some crucial chances of converting tries by Pakistani forwards. Luc Michel, Etienne Legrand, Sarut Janda, and Thanapong Punjpang scored tries for Thailand, while Ali Shahid and Khalid Hussain Bhatti scored tries for Pakistan. President Pakistan Rugby Union Arif Saeed, Secretary Salman Shaikh, Asia Rugby Chief Executive Johny Stavrinou, Media Manager Khurram Haroon, Tournament Director Ghaith Jalajel, Aitchison College Principal Michael Thomson, DG Sports Board Javed Chohan, Director Sports Board Hafeez Bhatti, and a large number of former rugby players were all present during the match. Meanwhile, the Thailand team had a very busy day in Lahore the next day of the first match. They started the day with a visit to the Historic Lahore Fort. According to the players, they have a great time in the fort. "I took several photos with the locals," a Thai player said. The team then went to a local shopping mall for some shopping, where they met with the general public and took some photos before returning to the hotel in the evening.

A Day Mixed Martial Arts Seminar concludes
Sports Bulletin Report KARACHI:-A one-day seminar for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) referees and judges was held under the banner of Sindh Mixed Martial Arts Association on Sunday at Karachi Center of Pakistan Sports Board that attended by officials from Hyderabad, Larkana and Mirpur Khas regions, besides Karachi. Also present were representatives of Sindh Police SSU Unit and Airport Security Force ASF. Distinguished guests of the event were Rehan Hashmi, Young Member National Assembly and Chairman Karachi MMA Association, President Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts Federation Zulfiqar Ali, Chairman Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts Federation Tariq Ali, Director Sports of Karachi University Rashid Ali Qureshi, Sharq Ali, Technical Director, Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts Federation Zubair Khan, Vice President, Sindh Mixed Martial Arts Association; Imran Qasim Khan, Head Coach, Sindh Mixed Martial Arts Association; Secretary Daniel Khan and others were also present on the occasion. Course instructors were Abu Huraira and Dilawar Sanaan Khan while the closing ceremony was directed by renowned MMA commentator and journalist Waqas Raza. On this occasion, the President of the Federation Zulfiqar Ali said that the main purpose of the event was to elevate overall capabilities and knowledge base of local officials, make the local referees and judges aware of the international rules and regulations of mixed martial arts and to ensure the physical safety of the players.

Rugby: Hosts Pakistan keen to meet Thailand on May 29, 2022
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-Stage set to host Asia Rugby Division II Championship 2022 here at Lahore, said Arif Saeed President Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU) in a press conference, along with Asia Rugby Chief Executive Johny Stavrinou, Tournament Director Ghaith Jalajel, Secretary PRU Salman Shaikh, Pakistan Rugby team Head coach Gert Mulder, Pakistan national team Captain Hamad Safdar, Thailand head coach Withapong Jindasawat, Captain Patchraaphat Sornritchingchai, Chief Selector PRU Rizwan Malik. The manager of the Thailand rugby team Suti Meethavorn, Director Punjab sports board Hafeez Bhatti, Asia Rugby Media manager Khurram Haroon, PRU management were also present on the occasion. President PRU Arif Saeed welcomed the Thailand rugby team and management of Asia Rugby to the great city of Lahore. All arrangements have been completed to host Thailand here in Lahore. Pakistan Rugby Union is honored to host such a big event of Asia Rugby DIV II championship. We will host this event in a very positive manner as we have done many International events in the past. First test match between Pakistan and Thailand will be played on 29th May 2022 at 7.30 pm in Punjab Stadium while 2nd match on 1st June 2022 here at Punjab Stadium Lahore. He was hopeful that Pakistan team will play high quality rugby and has a good chance for qualifying for Div I. He said we are pleased to have the services of a high quality coach in the form of Gert Mulder from South Africa. Tournament Director who came from Jordan Ghaith Jalajel said that after Covid restrictions and 2019 this is Asia Rugby`s first 15 a Side ranking event. Pakistan national team captain Hamad Safdar said that our boys have trained really hard over the past three months and are hopeful of qualifying for Division I for the first time. Thailand Captain Patchraaphat Sornritchingchai said that we have a good experience playing in this sort of hot weather and are looking forward to this event.

Pakistan Rugby Union names 26-player team for Asian Rugby Championship
Fawad Asghar LAHORE:-Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU) has announced a 26-man national squad for upcoming Asian Rugby Division-II Championship. According to Secretary PRU Salman Shaikh, Chairman Selection Committee Rizwan Malik along with selectors Yahya Bhatti, Mohsin khan and Muzamil Wazeri finalized the team for international rugby regional fixture. The two ranking matches between Pakistan and Thailand will be played on the May 29 and June 1, 2022. Secretary Salman Shaikh said: “We welcome the Thailand rugby team to Lahore Pakistan and due to the significance of the tournaments we have hired the services of an experienced coach from South Africa Gert Mulder. He (Gert) has 35 years of experience in coaching rugby from school boys, first class club rugby to provincial level. Head coach Gert Mulder said: “I am very excited and honored to be appointed as Head Coach of Pakistan National team. All Pakistan Basketball Tournament from May 30, 2022
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD:-Secretary, Federal Basketball Association (FBBA) Ouj-e-Zahoor revealed on Tuesday that All Pakistan Basketball Tournament would be played from May 30 to June 4, 2022 at Liaquat Gymnasium, Pakistan Sports Complex under the banner of Pakistan Basketball Federation (PBBF). While talking to media persons he further added: “Federal Basketball Association is an affiliated unit of the Pakistan Basketball Federation and we organised Inter-Club Championship successfully at F-6 Malti Purpose Sports Center that won by SA Gardens. Now we will hold All Pakistan Basketball Tournament at Liaquat Gymnasium Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad from May 30 to June 4, 2022. Efforts are being made to invite all the affiliated units of Pakistan Basketball Federation for said tournament. All the participating teams will be accommodated in the hostel of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB). It is pertinent to add here that Pakistan Basketball Federation will provide all technical support for the event”. “Sports activities including basketball were suspended due to Corona virus pandemic for the last three years. This event will provide an opportunity to continue basketball activities at grassroots level as all the units of federation will prepare their teams. PBBF will select the players for national training camp for the effective participation in the forthcoming 14th South Asian Games to be organised by Pakistan in March 2023. We are also planning to hold coaches and referees clinics to upgrade their knowledge of the game before the South Asian Games 2023", he concluded.
SA Gardens wins Inter-Club Basketball Tournament
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD:-SA Gardens Club have won the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Municipal Corporation Islamabad (MCI) Ramadan Inter Club Basketball Tournament after beating United Kings Club by 40-27 points in the final at F-6, Multi Purpose Sports Center Islamabad on Friday night. Mohammad Aurangzeb and Junaid Khan produced sparking performance for SA Gardens in the final, as the Aurangzeb was the top scorer of the final with 14 points while his teammate Junaid shared 8 points in his team’s victory. Imam Din and Umer scored 8 and 6 points respectively from United Kings. Earlier, in the first semifinal, SA Gardens outplayed Bulls by 50-39 points. Safi contributed 12 points and remained on top at the scoring sheet for the SA Gardens. Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Irfan scored 9 and 8 points from Bulls. United Kings outclassed Reapers by 46-40 after an exciting contest in 2nd Semi-final. United Kings’ Mohammad Hamza was star player of the match by scoring 15 points. Mohammad Umer and Mohmmad Ali were top scorer with 13 points each from Reapers. Ouj-e-Zahoor, General Secretary, Federal Basketball Association announced on this occasion that All Pakistan Basketball Tournament would be organised from 30th May to 4th June 2022 at Islamabad. During the tournament, top performers will be selected for the national training camp to be established for the 14th South Asian Games to be hosted by Pakistan in March next year 2023. PRU night camps in full swing for Asian Div-II Rugby Championship
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-The night camps to prepare the national team for the upcoming Asian Div-II Rugby Championship 2022 are in full swing under the supervision of the coach Malik Shakeel and Fitness trainer Jay here. According to an official of Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU), under the watchful eyes of the selection committee headed by Rizwan Malik and its three members Yahya Bhatti, Muzamil Wazeri and Mohsin Iqbal, the nights camps are being conducted in order to prepare the national team for the mega event. PRU Secretary Salman Shaikh said: “Pakistan has been given the opportunity to host the Div-II Rugby Championship by Asia Rugby. The participants of the event include host Pakistan, China, Taiwan and Thailand.  PRU is in the process of hiring a foreign coach for this important ranking tournament." President of Asia Rugby Qais said: "I am really glad that rugby is back in Pakistan. We are all waiting for staging this event in Pakistan and try to make it a huge success." SCRUTINY OF CLUBS AND ELECTIONS OF KARACHI BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION
Sports Bulletin Report KARACHI:-Karachi Basketball Association (KBA) affiliated units of Pakistan Basketball Federation (PBF) and Sindh Olympic Association (SOA) have mutually decided to conduct the scrutiny of all clubs of Karachi Basketball Association. Regarding the scrutiny process, a Committee has been constituted headed by Mohammad Asghar Baloch and Khurram Rafi Siddiqui & Advocate Daleep Singh will be member and secretary of committee respectively. All Basketball Clubs of Karachi Division are advised to complete their registration requirements with regard to registration of clubs and players etc to avoid any confusion and misunderstandings for the purpose. The Committee will start its proceedings of scrutiny in second week of May 2022. This Committee will also conduct elections of Karachi Basketball Association in due course of time. The exact date, time and place will be announced later on.
Inter-Club Basketball: Bulls, SA Gardens, Reapers and United Kings qualify for the semifinals
Sports Reporter ISLAMABAD:-Bulls, S A Gardens, United Kings and Reapers have qualified for the semifinals of ongoing Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Municipal Corporation Islamabad (MCI) Ramadan Inter-Club Basketball Tournament after winning their respective matches at F-6 Multi Purpose Sports Center Islamabad on Wednesday night. In the first day of the match, Dementors Club defeated Ball Magicians by 31-19 points while United Kings outclassed Raptors White at 37-30 points in the second match. Ali contributed with 16 points in his team's victory. In the 3rd match, Reapers Club overcame Lycans by 31-30 with solitary point victory. Malik Shahab contributed 9 points and Adam scored 10 points and remained top Scorer from both sides respectively.  Meanwhile in the 4th contest, Generals Club defeated Ball Magicians Club by 32-11 points. Shumail Shigri contributed 12 points and remained the top on the scoring sheet for Generals Club. In the 5th Match Bulls outplayed Rawal Champ Club by 53-15. S A Gardens Club defeated Dementors Club by 34-22 points in the sixth match. On Thursday, Semifinals and final will be played after Travee prayer in the night. First semifinal will be played between Bulls Club and S A Gardens Club while Reapers Club will play against United Kings Club in the 2nd Semi finals.

Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD:-As many as 8 matches have been decided on the 3rd day of Capital Development Authority (CDA) & Municipal Corporation Islamabad (MCI) Ramadan Inter-Club Basketball Tournament at F-6 Multi-Purpose Sports Center Islamabad on Tuesday night under floodlights. The first match of the day was played between United King and Bahria Wolves that won by United Kings at 25-13 points while Raptors Red overcame Lycans by 27-16 in the second match of the day. Usama Qamar contributed with 12 points in his team’s victory. In the third match of the b day, Reapers had to toiled hard on the court to get rid of Dynamites with the score of 47-39 points with the excellent performance of Tayyab Abbas scored 17 points for Reapers. Meanwhile in the 4-fixture, Thunder outclassed Bahria Wolves 25-16 points while Bulls stunned Jaguars by 55-19 points in a single sided contest. Rizwan Khurshid was top scorer for winners with 15 points. S.A. Gardens defeated General by 63-31 in the 6th match of the day. Mohsin (11) and Saifullah (9) were the top on the scoring sheet while Shumail Shigri and Ans Azhar scored 15 and 7 respectively for Generals. Raptors Red earned a narrow margin win against Reapers at 28-22. Mehtab Ahmed from Reapers scored 13 points in the penultimate fixture of the day-3.
