Ticket prices for Pak-West Indies series announced
Karachi (SB REPORT):-The National Stadium will be available to fans at 100 per cent seating capacity to watch this year’s most successful T20I side in action when Babar Azam’s Pakistan take on the West Indies in three T20Is and as many ODIs from 13-22 December. Pakistan have won 17 T20Is this year and will enter the shorter format series against the West Indies with nine wins in the last 10 completed matches. In a bid to help cricket fans from various walks of life watch their superstars in action, the Pakistan Cricket Board has set the ticket prices for the T20I matches from as low as PKR250 till PKR2,000. Seats in General Enclosures (Intikhab Alam, Iqbal Qasim, Mohammad Brothers, Nasimul Ghani and Wasim Bari) are priced at PKR250; in First-class Enclosures (Asif Iqbal, Majid Khan, Quaid, Waqar Hasan and Zaheer Abbas) are for PKR500; in Premium Enclosures (Imran Khan and Wasim Akram) are for PKR1,000; and in VIP Enclosures (Fazal Mahmood, Hanif Mohammad and Javed Miandad) are for PKR2,000. Fans of all ages will be able to see No.1 ranked Babar team up with 2021’s most successful T20I batter Mohammad Rizwan as his opening partner. According to the guidelines issued by the National Command and Operations Centre, individuals above 12 are required to be fully vaccinated, while no vaccination is required for the children below the age of 12. The access to the stadium will be granted upon the display of original ticket, CNIC and Nadra-issued immunisation certificate for Covid-19. The two sides will play three ODIs – part of ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League – on 18, 20 and 22 December, for which the tickets will start from as less as PKR100 and go up to only PKR1,000. The seats in General Enclosures are available for PKR100, in First-class for PKR250, in Premium for PKR500 and VIP for 1,000. To ensure all the spectators get to enjoy the action in a safe manner, they are advised to follow the Covid-19 protocols and wear the facemasks when in the stands. Dananjaya earns man of the match award on his 3rd wedding anniversary
Bipin Dani There could not have been a better occasion for Sri Lankan all rounder Dananjaya de Silva to win the Player of the Match award on Friday. The 30-year-old right handed batsman won the PoM award on his 3rd Wedding Anniversary for his unbeaten 155 runs in the second innings which enabled the home team to win the 2nd Test against the Windies. "Only it (DDS' Wedding Anniversary date) was known to very few members initially", one of the sources, speaking exclusively over the telephone from Galle. Dhananjaya de Silva was married to Sanduni Nisansala on 3rd December, 2018. "The players and the support staff members were not allowed to keep their family members for this series, though few support staff did seek permission but we're denied in the current pandemic", the source further added. Dhananjaya remembered his father's blessings at the presentation. His politician father, Ranjan de Silva was murdered by an unidentified gunman in front of their Ratmalana house in 2018. The team did celebrate the series victory in a small way and also gave a farewell party to the head coach (Mickey Arthur) and batting coach (Grant Flower). Both outgoing coaches were gifted.

Northern complete comfortable nine-wicket win over Central Punjab
Karachi (Sports Report):-Northern recorded their first win of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2021-22 season as they thumped Central Punjab by nine wickets while table-toppers Sindh consolidated their position at the top with a 127-run win over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Southern Punjab and Balochistan meanwhile played a draw as the seventh-round matches concluded today in three Karachi venues. At the UBL Sports Complex, Southern Punjab and Balochistan played out a draw. Resuming their second innings at the overnight 37 for no loss, Southern Punjab were bowled out for 311 in 78 overs. Opener, Tayyab Tahir were top scorer with 86 off 183 balls (nine fours, one six). First innings centurion Yousuf Babar maintained his fine form in the second innings with 63 off 86 balls (12 fours). Left-arm-spinner Kashif Bhatti who scored a fifty in Balochistan’s first innings completed a fine all-round performance with a four-wicket haul with the ball, Akif Javed took three wickets for 41 runs. Balochistan had reached 24 for no loss when stumps were drawn for the fourth and final time in the match. Over at the State Bank of Pakistan Stadium in the match between Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which was live streamed on PCB’s YouTube channel, left-armer Mir Hamza’s stunning six-wicket haul helped Sindh register their second successive victory of the season as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were defeated by 127 runs. Bahawalpur clinch the title of National Disabled T 20 Championship
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD (December 3, 2021):-Bahawalpur Disabled cricket team has clinched the title of ICRC Presents SAF National Disabled T20 Cricket Championship after beating Islamabad by six wickets in the final on the World Day of People with Disabilities on December 3 played at DHA Sports Club Moin Khan Cricket Academy Ground Karachi on Friday. According to available information from Karachi, the final of National Championship organized by Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PDCA), ICRC Head of Sub Delegation Peshawar Farrukh Islamov, Former Pakistan Cricket Team Captain Moin Khan, COO Shahid Shahid Afridi Foundation and Country Head Mohammad Rizwan,Disabled Cricket founder Saleem Karim, former Test cricketer Tauseef Ahmed and ICRC Head of Communication Fiza Bangash distributed prizes on the occasion. Disability Cricket Association Secretary Amiruddin Ansari, Imran Latif, Tournament Secretary Jamil Kamran and Tauseef Shah were also present on this eve.  After winning the toss in the final, Islamabad Disabled scored 133 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Usman Paracha scored 45 runs off 43 balls with the help of four fours while Raja Ali Abbas scored 30 off 19 balls, Adil Abbasi scored 24 off 22 balls and Mohammad Noman scored 15 runs.From Bahawalpur Disabled, Abdul Khaliq took two wickets while Mohammad Asif and Kashif Abbas took one wicket each.  In reply, winner Bahawalpur Disabled achieved their target of 134 runs for four 18.1 overs. Hamad Shaukat and Waqif Shah took one wicket each for Islamabad Disabled.  Mohammad Noman of Bahawalpur Disabled was declared the best batter and player of the tournament while Waqif Shah of Islamabad Disabled was declared the best bowler, Ashfaq Shakir of Lahore Disabled the best fielder and Abid Hussain of Bahawalpur Disabled decleard man of the match. Hafiz Ghulam Mohammad of Multan Disabled was also given a special award for scoring a century off just 27 balls in the National Championship. Northern on verge of big win over Central Punjab
Karachi (Sports Report):-Northern are on the verge of recording their first win of the season after forcing Central Punjab to follow-on on day-three of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy round-seven which is being played at three Karachi venues.  Over at the the UBL Sports Complex, Karachi, Balochistan amassed 606 runs in their first innings as Ayaz Tassawar and captain Bismillah Khan joined Shan Masood in the centurions club for the innings. The left-handed Ayaz scored the fifth century of his first-class career, his 149-run innings was studded with 16 fours and two sixes and came off 210 balls. Bismillah blazed his way to 125 off 127 balls (19 fours, one six). Kashif Bhatti and Khurram Shehzad then rubbed salt in the Southern Punjab bowlers wounds with contributions of 71 and 50 respectively as Balochistan took a 123-run lead over Southern Punjab’s first innings score of 483. At close on the third-day, Southern Punjab had reached 37 for no loss in their second innings. Over at the State Bank of Pakistan Stadium in the match between Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which is being live streamed on PCB’s YouTube channel, Khurram Manzoor’s 30th first-class century was the highlight of Sindh’s second innings. After conceding a 120-run lead, the table-toppers heading into the tournament’s seventh-round fought back through contributions by Khurram, Saad Khan and captain Asad Shafiq which helped them post 377 runs in their second innings. Haris took three wickets for 62 and if he succeeds in taking the last wicket tomorrow, Haris would complete his maiden ten-wicket haul in first-class cricket. The promising Mubasir Khan who continues to impress with his all-round talent took five wickets for 34 runs. Pakistan name squads for West Indies series
Saad Kayani KARACHI (December 2, 2021):-Pakistan cricket selectors today announced the T20I and ODI squads for the home series against the West Indies, which will be played in Karachi from 13-22 December. The 20-over matches will count towards the ICC T20I Rankings, while the 50-over games will be part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League. From the 18 players who were part of the recently-concluded T20I series against Bangladesh, Hasan Ali, Imad Wasim, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shoaib Malik have been left out, while fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain has been added to the 15-man squad. Likewise, from the 17 players who were available for selection for the England ODIs in July, Asif Ali, Haider Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah and Mohammad Wasim Jnr have replaced Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali, Salman Ali Agha and Sarfaraz Ahmed in the 17-member side, while Abdullah Shafique has been named as a traveling reserve. Qasim Akram to lead Pakistan in Under-19 World Cup
Ali Ahmed LAHORE (December 2, 2021):-Qasim Akram will lead the 15-player Pakistan Under-19 squad in the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup which will be played in January-February 2022 in the West Indies. The Lahore-born Qasim will also captain the team in the Under-19 Asia Cup that will be played in the UAE later this month. The junior selection committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board had invited 21 high-performing cricketers born on or after 1 September 2002 (eligibility criteria) for a training camp that is currently underway in Lahore to prepare the side for the two tournaments, the camp began last week. Besides the final 15 for both events, the squad also includes two travelling reserves who will be part of the touring party for both tournaments. The squad includes four players who took part in the preceding U19 World Cup that was played in South Africa in January-February 2020, Pakistan finished third in the event. Qasim, openers Abdul Wahid Bangalzai and Mohammad Shehzad and middle-order batter Irfan Khan Niazi were the four players to feature in the South Africa event. Following the 2020 event, Qasim was hugely impressive for Central Punjab in all three formats in the 2020-21 domestic season which was his first, Abdul Wahid scored a double-century for Balochistan in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy besides impressive batting in the National T20. Irfan appeared for Central Punjab in the National T20 and has already earned the reputation of being a clean striker of the ball, Shehzad was also one of the most prolific batters in the 2021-22 U19 one-day and three-day events. Besides the quartet, the squad includes promising players like spinners Faisal Akram (left-arm-wrist-spinner), Ali Asfand (left-arm-spinner), Mehran Mumtaz (left-arm-spinner) and Arham Nawab (off-spinner). Faisal represented Southern Punjab in the National T20. Abdul Faseeh, Haseebullah, Rizwan Mehmood and Maaz Sadaqat were the standout performers with the bat in the domestic U19 circuit. Haider (206), Haris Rauf (6 for 41) put Northern on top
Karachi (SB Report):-Northern took complete control of their Quaid-e-Azam Trophy seventh-round fixture against Central Punjab while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa gained a healthy first innings lead over Sindh on day-two. Southern Punjab and Balochistan batters took the attack to the bowlers for a second consecutive day. Over at the the UBL Sports Complex, Karachi, Southern Punjab were bowled out for 483 in their first innings on day-two after resuming at 327 for three. Middle-order batter Yousuf Babar scored his second first-class century, the right-hander remained unbeaten on 119 off 203 balls (13 fours). Salman Ali Agha who completed his century yesterday was dismissed for 135 (17 fours, 209 balls). Aamer Yamin scored a breezy 43 off 33 balls (six fours, one six) to propel the side past the 450-mark. Khurram Shehzad and Akif Javed took three wickets apiece for Balochistan. Southern Punjab collected the full five first innings batting points while Balochistan had to contend with two bowling points. Balochistan roared back in the contest courtesy a blazing century by opener Shan Masood who was making his first-ever appearance for the team. The left-hander registered the 16th first-class century of his career, Shan scored 105 off only 82 balls (17 fours, one six). After Shan’s dismissal Balochistan stuttered to 184 for four before an unbroken 92-run partnership between Ayaz Tassawar (58 not out) and captain Bismillah Khan (57 not out) took them to 276 for four at stumps. The two will resume the Balochistan innings tomorrow, 203 runs behind the Southern Punjab total. Their impressive batting so far have earned them two valuable batting points and they will be aiming to keep the scoring momentum going as they chase the full five batting points. Aamer Yamin and Ali Usman with two wickets each were the two wicket-takers for Southern Punjab. Over at the State Bank of Pakistan Stadium in the match between Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which is being live streamed on PCB’s YouTube channel, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa declared their first innings at 265 for nine after gaining a 120-run first innings lead over Sindh on day-two. Resuming at the overnight 124 for two, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa lost six wickets with 169 runs on the board. The innings was revived by all-rounder Asif Afridi who followed his three-wicket bowling performance with 50 off 44 balls (seven fours, one six). Khyber Pakhtunkhwa added two batting points to their six-point bowling tally. Sindh collected three bowling points with fast bowler Sohail Khan playing a leading role with the ball with figures of 21.1-3-82-5 (37th first-class five-wicket haul). Sindh started their second innings in a poor fashion as opener Ahsan Ali (2) and Omair Bin Yousuf (9) fell with only 11 runs on the board. At this stage, the seasoned pair of Khurram Manzoor and captain Asad Shafiq rescued the side. The two had crossed their fifties and were at the crease when stumps were drawn for the day. Khurram has so far hit seven fours in his 59 (136 balls) while Asad’s even 50 has come off 96 balls with the help of eight fours. Over at the National Bank of Pakistan Sports Complex, resuming his innings at 141, the hugely promising Haider Ali registered the maiden double-century of his first-class career. The 21-year-old was eventually dismissed for a scintillating 206 off 221 balls (27 fours, four sixes). Haider added 229 for the fourth-wicket with Faizan Riaz who contributed 67 as Northern amassed 445 for eight in 106 overs before declaring their innings. Northern collected the full five batting points on offer, pacer Muhammad Ali took three wickets for Central Punjab. Fast bowler Haris Rauf who was making his first Quaid-e-Azam Trophy appearance in the season then rocked the Central Punjab batters with his fearsome pace as he returned his best-ever first-class bowling haul. The right-armer, fresh from representing Pakistan in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh took a liking to the red ball taking six wickets for 41 runs from 15 overs of electrifying pace. Hussain Talat with 51 punctuated with four fours and two sixes was the best Central Punjab performer with the bat, opener Imran Dogar scored 43 while Mohammad Saad and Ali Zaryab contributed 38 and 37. Central Punjab finished the day reeling at 223 for eight, needing another 72 runs to avoid a follow-on with only two wickets in hand. After gaining full five batting points, Northern have already accumolated three bowling points. They will be striving to collect three additional bowling points by bowling out Central Punjab with-in 100 overs of their innings when play resumes tomorrow.
