Pakistan Cup: Blasters beat Strikers by 47 runs
Sports Bulletin KARACHI (September 11, 2021):Player of the match Nahida Khan’s scored her second half-century on trot as PCB Blasters beat PCB Strikers by 47 runs at the Oval Academy Ground in the ongoing Pakistan Cup Women’s One-Day on Saturday. This was Sidra Nawaz-led Blasters’ second consecutive win. Nahida followed up her 90 not out against PCB Dynamites on Thursday, the opening day of tournament, with 59 off 74 after Strikers’ captain Kainat Imtiaz decided to bowl at the toss. Nahida and her fellow opener, Gul Feroza, added 114 runs for the opening wicket, before a collapse saw Blasters getting rolled out for 195 inside 47.3 overs with the only other notable contribution coming from Nida Dar, who made 24 off 33. Both openers – Nahida and Gul – smashed five fours each. Gul made 45 off 83. Off-spinner Hafsa Khalid accounted for top three batters, before dismissing opposition captain, Sidra, who made 33-ball 17, as she returned four for 34 from 10 overs. Ayesha Naseem’s leg-spin sent Fatima Sana and Noreen Yaqub back to the pavilion, while skipper Kainat, Umm-e-Hani and Tooba Hassan picked up one wicket each. Omaima Sohail and Nida shared five wickets between them, with Omaima returning three for 20 from seven, as Strikers faltered in their run chase. They were all out for 148 in 41.4 overs. Strikers’ troubles began with their opening partnership of 41 runs was broken. Jaweria Rauf managed 11 runs before she was removed by Nida and Ayesha Zafar was run out after scoring run-a-ball 33. Number nine Tooba Hassan was the next best batter with 18 runs to her name. Kainat, Hafsa Khalid and Natalia Pervaiz scored 16 runs each. At the National Stadium, the fans were served with a thrilling contest as Javeria Khan-led PCB Challengers defeated Muneeba Ali’s PCB Dynamites by one run. Dynamites’ all-rounder Aliya Riaz smashed 90 off 102 balls, which included seven fours and two sixes, in the run chase before her stay at the crease was ended by Saba Nazir, who returned three of 56. Openers Muneeba and Sadaf Shamas scored 41 and 37, before Maham Tariq blasted an unbeaten 21 off 10. It was a solid batting performance, in which all batters played a role, which helped Challengers post 253 for four, with player of the match Sidra Amin, laying the platform with a 96-ball 70. Opening the batting, Sidra smashed seven fours, and stitched a 100-run opening stand with Fareeha Mehmood, who made 43 off 69. Javeria hit 54 off 77 and Iram Javed made 43-ball 41. Both batters were dismissed by pacer Maham Tariq. The other two wickets were picked up by leg-spinner Ghulam Fatima. PPFL: KRL outplay Karachi United 6-0
Sports Bulletin MULTAN (September 11, 2021) Defending Champions, Khan Research Laboratories ( KRL) outplayed Karachi United 6-0 in the 13th Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) fixture at Qasim Bagh Football Stadium Multan, on Friday night. Alamgir Ali Khan scored three goals for KRL and he got second hat trick for his team in the top national football league 2021. KRL took 5-0 lead against Karachi United at the end of the first half. In the 13th minute of the first half, Alamgir Ali Khan scored first goal for KRL and he doubles the margin 2-0 in the 23rd minute. KRL award a penalty kick against Karachi United in the 26th minute, Alamgir scored third goal for his team while he made score 3-0. Imran Khan, Waqar Ihtishan and Rajab Ali also netted the each ball in 37th, 41st and 68th respectively. Players of Karachi United tried their best to reduce the score but they didn't make any score against KRL and also showed that the players of Karachi United looked helpless in front of the KRL team during the match. Alamgir Ali Khan showed best performance during their league matches. Adnan Anjum supervised the match while assisted by Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Rizwan. Shafaat Habib acted as match Commissioner. Secretary General, Pakistan Football Federation, Mohammad Naveed Akram said that the first phase of the 13th Pakistan Premier Football League concluded and the new date of the second phase would be announced in the next few days.

New Zealand arrive in capital city Islamabad
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD (September 11, 2021): New Zealand cricket team arrived in the capital city of Pakistan on Saturday to play a bilateral series of three One Day Internationals matches at Pindi Cricket Stadium Rawalpindi. A chartered plane carrying Black Caps team members and officials landed at Islamabad International Airport at 2:00pm. The security staff took them to local hotel where they under went for Covid-19 tests. PCB: A special meeting of the BoG on Monday
Sports Bulletin LAHORE (September 11, 2021):A Special Meeting of the Board of Governors will take place on Monday, 13 September, at 1100 at the National High Performance Centre in Lahore to elect the 36th PCB Chairman. The PCB Election Commissioner, Mr Justice (retd) Sheikh Azmat Saeed, will conduct the election and preside over the Special Meeting. Aasim Wajid Jawad, Alia Zafar, Asad Ali Khan, Arif Saeed, Javed Kurieshi, Ramiz Raja and Wasim Khan are members of the BoG and will attend the special meeting.

Pakistan-New Zealand ODIs status changed
Sports Bulletin ISLAMABAD (September 11, 2021): Pakistan Cricket Board and New Zealand Cricket have mutually agreed to change the status of next week’s ODI series to a bilateral series from the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League fixtures due to the non-availability of Decision Review System (DRS), a requirement in the event playing conditions. As New Zealand will return to Pakistan in the 2022-23 season to play two Tests and three ODIs, the two boards have agreed that these 50-over matches will now count towards the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 qualification.

Cricketers excited to welcome New Zealand after 18 years

Pakistan to participate in Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship 2021
Sports Bulletin KARACHI (September 10, 2021): As many as four men and three men will take part in the Asian Ju-Jitsu Champions 2021, which will be held from September 11 to 17 in Abu Dhabi.  According to the details, the Asian JuJitsu Champion 2021 is going to be taken place in Abu Dhabi from September 11 to 17 in which the top athletes of Asian countries will participate in this event. Pakistan players Mohammad Ammar, Abu Hurairah, Dilawar Khan Sunan, Mohammad Ali Rashid, Fatima Irfan, Isra Wasim and Kainat Arif will represent Pakistan in the championship. Tariq Ali will be head of the national squad. He will also perform as referee in this top regional event of Ju-Jitsu. Khalil Ahmad Khan, President, Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation, expressed hope that national players, as always, would succeed in brightening the name of the country and the nation.

Covid-19: IFSC SPEED WORLD CUP IN JAKARTA CANCELLED
Sports Bulletin TORINO (September 10, 2021): The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) and the Indonesian Sport Climbing Federation (FPTI) are disappointed to announce that the IFSC Speed World Cup scheduled in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 30 and 31 October 2021, has been cancelled as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the IFSC World Cup taking place from 1 to 3 October in Seoul, South Korea, will be the closing chapter of both the 2021 Boulder and Speed season. “It is heartbreaking to make this decision,” said IFSC President Marco Scolaris. “The IFSC and the Sport Climbing community were eager to finally bring the international Sport Climbing circuit in Indonesia. My gratitude goes to the FPTI, and President Yenny Wahid, for their valuable collaboration and effort. I am sure that the debut of the IFSC World Cup Series in Indonesia is only postponed, we will be there next year!”

PPFL: Muslim Club overcome Pakistan Air Force 1-0
Sports Bulletin MULTAN (September 10, 2021):-Muslim Club Chman overcame Pakistan Air Force (PAF) 1-0  in the 13th Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) fixture at Qasim Bagh Football Stadium Multan on Friday. Both teams fought well and were 0-0 at the end of the first half. Mohammad Hanif scored lone goal for Muslim Club in the 64th minute and Pakistan Air Force tried their best to equalize the score but could not succeed. Muslim Club missed four corners while two were wasted by Pakistan Air Force. Mohammad Hanif, Abdul Qahir and Hazrat Umar received yellow cards for Muslim Club in the 33rd, 60th and 71st minutes respectively while the same was got Mehdi Hassan for PAF in the 13th minute of the first half. Referee Adnan Anjum supervised the match while Sajjad Ahmed and Mohammad Rizwan assisted him. Rana Mushtaq acted as match Commissioner. On Saturday Sui Northern Gas Pipeline will face the Pakistan Army.

Blundell, Tickner and Bracewell excited for first Pakistan tour
Sports Bulletin RAWALPINDI (September 10, 2021): Eleven September is the date when New Zealand men’s national cricket team will land in Pakistan after 18 years and Blair Tickner, Dough Bracewell and Tom Blundell have made no secret of their excitement to be touring the country for the first time. The historic tour of New Zealand to Pakistan will commence with the three One-Day Internationals at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, after which the two teams will play five T20 Internationals at Pakistan’s home of Cricket, Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. Blair Tickner: “We are very excited to get to Pakistan and play on their wickets. It is a bit disappointing that we will be not be able to see the beautiful country as we are stuck in a bubble. But, we are looking forward to play cricket there.” Tom Blundell: “It is very exciting for us to tour Pakistan, as none of us has ever been there. I have heard it is a beautiful country. They are a very good white-ball team and I think this tour will be challenging for us, but it is an exciting opportunity for all of us to go there. “It is really pleasing to see Pakistan play in front of their fans again and this experience is going to be very exciting for both sides.
