ATF U12 Team Competition Qualifying: Pakistan beat Sri Lanka 2-1

However, in the second match, Sri Lanka made a strong comeback and secured a victory, demonstrating their resilience and competitive spirit.In the third match, the Pakistani team bounced back from a defeat in the second match to win the third and decisive match. Japan diplomate Hattori Masaru wishes to promote softball in Pakistan
Sports Bulletin ReportKARACHI: Japan's Consul General Karachi, Hattori Masaru, has said that sportsmen are the community that can establish unity among the nations individually and collectively. Athletes send a message of hope and confidence to the world through mutual respect, harmony, and friendship. He expressed these views in a meeting with a delegation of Softball Federation of Pakistan (SFP) led by President Asif Azeem at the Japanese Consulate. Vice Consul Saito Machi, Senior Vice President of Softball Federation Dr. Farhan Essa, Chairperson Yasmin Hyder, and Secretary Finance Zeeshan Merchant were also present on this occasion.Japanese Consul General Hattori Masaru said that softball is played by more than 65 million people from 140 countries around the world. In terms of sports, the Olympic Games have an authentic and prominent place around the world and softball is part of the 2028 Olympic Games to be held in the city of Los Angeles,USA.Hattori Masaru further said that he is very happy to see the growing popularity of softball among the Pakistani youth. “We will do our best to develop this game in a modern way in Pakistan. The Softball Federation of Pakistan will organize the women's inter-provincial softball championship to be played in Karachi this month. Such events give young players plenty of opportunities to express their talents.” Federation President Asif Azeem said that Japan is one of the leading countries playing softball. Japan Consulate Karachi has always provided us with its full support for the development of softball. Dr. Farhan Essa said that we wish qualified coaches and umpires from Japan to come to Pakistan to train our players and coaches. Yasmin Hyder said that very soon they will organize a series of matches between the Japanese Consulate and the Pakistan Softball team. On this occasion, the Softball Federation of Pakistan presented a softball momento bats and souvenirs to Japanese Consul General Hattori Masaru and Vice Consul Saito Machi.

Pakistan women to face England women on Thursday in ODI
Sports Bulletin ReportDerby (UK): Pakistan women will take on England women in a three-match ODI series, commencing on Thursday (May 23, 2024) at the County Ground in Derby. The second ODI will be played in Taunton on 26 May, followed by the third ODI in Chelmsford on 29 May.The series, which is part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25, will be Pakistan’s eighth and final series in the cycle. Pakistan are currently positioned on fifth spot with 16 points in the 10-team Women’s Championship. SAFF, CAF women’s football development workshop concludes
Sports Bulletin ReportRiyadh (Saudi Arabia): The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) has concluded a five-day educational workshop focusing on women’s football. The aim was to develop and empower coaches from Saudi Arabia and Africa. In partnership with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the Riyadh-based workshop ran from 14 - 18 May with a total of 32 coaches, 16 African coaches from 13 CAF member associations participating alongside 16 coaches from local sports clubs, regional training centers, and the Saudi Arabian Women’s National Teams.Lamia Bahaian, Vice President of SAFF, said: "The success of this event demonstrates our commitment to fostering the growth and development of women's football both in Saudi Arabia and across Africa. Through these collaborative efforts, we aim to create a strong network of coaches who can share their experiences, support one another, and contribute to the global advancement of women's football. The enthusiasm and dedication shown by the participants have been truly inspiring, and we are confident that their influence will be felt on and off the field."

National football team training camp kicks off in Islamabad
Sports Bulletin ReportISLAMABAD: The Pakistan national football team has started an intensive training camp in Islalamabd as the national side gears up for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Round 2 home match against Saudi Arabia on June 6 in Islamabad followed by an away match in Tajikistan on June 11.Head coach Stephen Constantine is leading the team's efforts, focusing on refining their skills and tactics for the encounter against one of the football powerhouses (Saudi Arabia). CHINA, INDONESIA SPLIT SPEED GLORY IN SHANGHAI
Sports Bulletin ReportShanghai (China): A trophy in their hands, and 50 points in their pockets: China’s Zhou Yafei and Indonesia’s Veddriq Leonardo are the winners of the Speed events in Shanghai, China.Zhou and Leonardo were the fastest and most consistent athletes on the wall, peaking at the right time and setting new personal bests in the two gold medal races: Zhou prevailed over Indonesia’s Rajiah Sallsabillah, stopping the clock at 6.54 seconds, against her rival’s 6.75. Leonardo, instead, won against home favourite Wu Peng of China, hitting the finish pad at 4.83 seconds – four tenths of a second away from the current world record. Wu placed second with 4.88.“I just performed like myself. I performed the way I do normally,” said Zhou. “I tried to focus on every single climb, on every single run I had to do today. I did feel nervous, but I tried to block out the noise that came from the spectators. I felt I just had to focus on myself. I just thought about the action, about the things I had to do.Then adding: “This was not the best level, because some athletes were not here. It felt like the second level. The level could be even higher."Leonardo said: “I am happy. I have to qualify, so this is the first step. In Speed, even though you did well in practice, it doesn’t guarantee you a good result in competition. I am competing among the best competitors and the best athletes in the world. The more good athletes there are in Speed Climbing, the better it is for the sport. I only focus on myself and my performance. I have a very good relationship with the rest of the Indonesian team. We are like family. We train together. In this competition each of us tries to do our best and it’s our responsibility to bring the country’s name to the world level. Competing against each other is not a problem.”Bronze in the women’s event went to Natalia Kalucka of Poland, who bested Niu Di of China with a 6.67-second performance. The men’s Speed podium was completed by Wang Xinshang of China, winner in 4.99 seconds of a tight race against Ukraine’s Yaroslav Tkach.

CE Sports won the Jazz Tape Ball Premier League
Karachi (Sports Reporter): CE Sports outclassed Sherwani Sports by nine wickets to win the Tape Ball Premier League at Moin Khan Stadium, Karachi.Sherwani Sports batted first and scored 97 runs for the loss of eight over five wickets in the allotted overs. Rana Mohsin scored 18 runs and Bahadur Lefty scored 17 runs. Left-arm bowler Maaz took three wickets, Irfan Noona took two wickets and Qadir Kashmiri took one wicket.In reply, CE Sports achieved the target for one wicket in 4.3 overs owing to the excellent batting of Taimur Mirza and captain Asad Shah. Asad Shah scored 49 runs off fifteen balls. Taimur Mirza scored 38 runs.The winning team, CE Sports, was awarded Rs.7.5 million and a trophy. The runner-up team Sherwani Sports was entitled to two lakh rupees. Jazz Head of Products and Segment Asad Maqbool said that his company supported tape ball cricket which was well received by the fans. Tape Ball Premier League Director Khurram Majeed thanked Jazz for sponsoring the event. Ten teams participated in the six-day competition. Taimur Mirza was declared the best player of the event.  
National PD T20 Grade-1 Tournament: Multan become champion
Sports Bulletin ReportMULTAN: Multan Physcaly Handicap (PD) cricket team have won the Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) National PD T20 Cricket Championship Grade-1 title after defeating Bahawalpur by 6 wickets in a one-sided contest in the final played here at the DHA Sports Complex.In the final, Bahawalpur could post a meager total of 127 runs on the scoreboard. Abid Hussain and Mann scored each 26 runs were the major contributors. Zubair Saleem dismissed 4 players for 26 runs, Mohammad Irfan took 3 wickets and Jahanzeb Tiwana took 2 wickets. In reply, Multan won the title for the fourth time by achieving the target of four wickets in the 19th overs, Majid Hussain remained unbeaten by scoring 45 runs with the help of 5 fours, Mohammad Zaman Ali scored 34 runs which included a six and 3 fours.On the occasion, former Test cricketer Masood Anwaar gave player of the match award to Zubair Saleem for the fourth consecutive time. Former Test cricketer Masood Anwaar paid tribute to the efforts of Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association General Secretary and Tournament Director Amiruddin Ansari for organizing a wonderful and successful event and congratulated the winning team Multan.
