National Challenge Cup 2023 Final Round resumes on May 1
Sports Bulletin ReportISLAMABAD: The final round of the National Challenge Cup (NCC) 2023, being organized by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), is set to kick off on Thursday (May 1 2024) at the Jinnah Sports Complex Islamabad.The group stage matches will take place from May 1 to 6 with each team competing in (03) matches. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, which are scheduled for May 7 and 8 followed by the semi-finals on May 10 while the final will take place on May 12. The participating teams have been divided into four groups, with each group comprising four teams.Groups:Group A: PACA, Pakistan Army, NIMSO and HECGroup B: KRL, Pakistan Navy, SA Farms and Masha UnitedGroup C: Otto Crains, Wapda, WSTC and Pakistan PoliceGroup D: PAF, Asia Ghee Mills, SA Gardens and Pakistan Railway

National Women's Football Championship 2024 postponed
Sports Bulletin ReportLAHORE: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) announced on Friday that the postponement PFF National Women's Football Championship 2024 has been postponed, originally scheduled to kick-off on May 5, 2024 in Karachi.According to an official of PFF, the decision comes in response to feedback from representatives of various clubs, who expressed concerns regarding potential clashes between the championship schedule and the academic commitments of their players.In light of these considerations, the PFF has made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone the event. However, the revised schedule for the National Women's Football Championship 2024 will be announced in due course, following further consultation with club representatives and careful consideration of all relevant factors.

National Women's Football Championship starts on May 5
Sports Bulletin ReportKARACHI: The National Women’s Football Championship (NWFC) is set to commence on May 5, 2024 in Karachi. The clubs that have registered by December 2023 will be eligible to participate in the extravaganza, showcasing the passion for women's football across Pakistan.Being organized by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), the championship will see the participating teams divided into four groups. With the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarter-finals. The championship will culminate in a finale scheduled to take place on May 21, 2024, where the top contenders will vie for the coveted title of champions.

Fareedullah undergoes 'successful' Clavicle Fracture surgery
LAHORE (PR): Pakistan National Football team forward player Fareed Ullah underwent successful surgery to treat his Clavicle Fracture (Broken Collar) injury, which had already excluded him from participating in the remaining match of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier Round 2 away match between Pakistan and Jordan held in Jordan on 26th March. Fareedullah broke down on the field while tackling a Jordanian defender during the 33rd minute of the matchUpon his return to Pakistan, he promptly received medical care and was transported from the airport to the hospital for necessary treatment. Following the recommendation of PFF's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Azam Khan, a scan was performed, which indicated the necessity for immediate surgical intervention. The surgery was performed by Consultant Orthopedic and Sports Surgeon Dr. Amir Sohail in Lahore.The young forward was advised to rest and undergo rehabilitation for a period of eight to ten weeks before making his return to the field. Fareed's comeback is subject to his successful completion of the rehabilitation programme and following the go-ahead by the medical staff.

Pakistan football team training camp at Model Town Lahore
Sports Bulletin ReportLAHORE: The Pakistan national football team camp is in full swing here at Model Town football ground to train the lads for the upcoming home match of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Round 2 against Jordan, scheduled to be held in Islamabad on March 21.Under the guidance of head coach Stephen Constantine, the team is focusing on refining their skills and tactics to face the upcoming challenge. The attention is also being given to the goalkeepers with coaching support from Rogerio Ramos and Nauman Ibrahim. FIFA MA Elite Referee Course 2023 concludes in Lahore
Sports Bulletin ReportLAHORE: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) with assistance from FIFA, conducted a five-day Member Associations Elite Refereeing Course 2023 at Football House, Lahore.The course, featuring 30 referees from various regions nationwide, commenced on December 26, 2023, and reached its conclusion today in Lahore.Mohammad Rodzali, a FIFA Referee Development Officer and Khalidi Bin Supian, a Physical Fitness Instructor from Malaysia dedicated five days to sharing their expertise with a group of 30 male and female referees and instructors. By engaging in theoretical and practical discussions, they facilitated a comprehensive learning experience for the referees. In the closing ceremony, after distributing the certificates among participants Member Pakistan Football Federation Normalisation Committee Mohammad Shahid Niaz Khokhar, said: "I would like to thank Mr Rodzali who came here to teach referees new things according to FIFA and AFC standards. He extended his best wishes to all the participants who not only acquired new knowledge but would also pass it on and officiate in future matches and reinforced the commitment to improving the refereeing landscape in Pakistan. We want them to always be on top of the game and never doubt themselves,” he added.

PFF names squad for FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier
LAHORE (Press Release): The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) named the men’s team squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier. The green shirts will play their World Cup qualifier match against Cambodia on a home and away-basis. Bhutan-bound Pakistan U-16 football team honoured by Candyland

PFF Normalisation Committee Chairman Haroon Malik graced the occasion as chief guest, while other notables present on the occasion were former PFF senior official Col (R) Mujahid Tareen, cricket coach Manzoor Elahi, PCB executive committee member Amir Nawab, Ajmal Sabir, Basalat Mirza from Candyland, players, football lovers and a good number of media persons. Speaking on the occasion, PFF NC Chairman Haroon Malik expressed, "Football possesses the remarkable ability to unite the world. Boys U16 camp for SAFF U16 Championship commences in Lahore
LAHORE (Press Release): After conducting a 15 days camp in Abbottabad, the Boy's Under-16 camp under the supervision of Head Coach Sajjad Mehmood, Assistant Coach Hassan Baloch, and Goal Keeping Coach Jaffer Khan has been kicked off in Lahore.Spanning from February to June, these trials attracted participants from across the country, resulting in the identification of 200 exceptionally talented players. 50 players were shortlisted for the national U-16 training camp in Abbottabad.Out of 50 players who take part in training, a squad of 23 players will represent Pakistan in SAFF U16 Championship. Pakistan team was placed in Group B with Bhutan and Maldives. Pakistan will take on Bhutan and Maldives on September 1 and 3 respectively.Heach Coach Sajjad Mehmood said: “The boys are prepared well and taking part in the training. We hope the boys will perform well in SAFF U16 Championship. The players have been trying to adapt themselves to the international requirements by showing full interest in training since the first day whereas minor errors of some players were eradicated during the practice games," he added.
