FAISALABAD: Sargodha, Attock, Karachi, and Abbottabad have won their respective matches on the second day of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2023 (Grade-2) at the two different cricket arenas Faisalabad on Thursday.

Sargodha beat Quetta by 8 wickets (Bohranwali Ground):

Quetta won the toss and elected to bat first. Quetta set the competitive total of 195 runs on the board for the loss of 6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Mohammad Saleem was the top scorer with 84 runs off 60 balls and Naseb Ullah made 46 runs off 23 balls. Abdul Malik took 1 wicket for Sargodha. 

In reply, Sargodha chased down the target of 196 runs in 19.1 overs by losing their 2 wickets. Zain Ashraf played a superb innings of unbeaten 79* runs off 56 balls. He was the highest scorer and Tanveer remained not out on 54* runs off 37 balls. Mohammad Shahid and Mohammad Saleem claimed 1 wicket each for Quetta. Zain Ashraf got man of the match award.

Attock beat Sheikhopura by 157 runs (HPC Centre Chak-8):

Attock won the toss and decided to bat first. Attock made 263 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of 1 wicket. Ehtisham ul Haq played extraordinary well and scored a ton, he made 139 runs off 69 balls. Mohammad Zeshan was the 2nd highest scorer with 60 runs off 40 balls. 

In reply, Sheikhopura couldn’t make the most of the batting friendly conditions and made just 106 runs in stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Sohaib Ahmed made 22 runs. For Attock. Raheel, Zeshan, Sohail and Sohaib claimed one wicket each. Ehtisham ul Haq got man of the match award.  

Karachi beat Gilgit-Baltistan by 149 runs (Bohranwali Ground):

Karachi won the toss and chose to bat first. Ayoub Khan’s terrific innings of unbeaten 140* runs off 60 balls helped Karachi to set a huge total of 292 runs on the board for the loss of 1 wicket in allotted 20 overs. Tahir Ali also made useful contribution of 96 runs off 55 balls. For Gilgit-Baltistan, Shoeb ul Hassan and Shakeel Ahmed took 1 wicket each.

In reply, Gilgit Baltistan were bowled out on 143 runs in 16.5 overs. Shoib ul Hassan was the top scorer with 48 runs off 23 balls. Mohammad Arshed, Tahir Ali and Mohammad Usman fetched 2 wickets each for Karachi. Ayoub Khan got man of the match award.

Abbottabad beat Faisalabad by 49 runs (HPC Centre Chak-8):

Faisalabad won the toss and put Abbottabad in to bat first. Abbottabad set a reasonable total of 203 runs on the board for the loss of 3 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Riasat Khan shined with the bat and he made brilliant 86 runs off 58 balls, well supported by Naeem Ullah who scored 72 runs off 56 balls. Danish Ali took 1 wicket.

In Reply Faisalabad scored 154 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Mohammad Zahid was the top scorer with 27 runs off 27 balls. Arslan Rasheed took 2 wickets while Irfan Ullah and Asnaad Khan claimed 1 wicket each for Abbottabad. Riasat Khan got man of the match award.
