Cricket News: 60 females to participate in Pakistan Cup Tournament

KARACHI:-As many as 60 female players will take part in the Pakistan Cup Women’s Cricket Tournament 2023, which will be rolled into action on May 19 here at State Bank Ground, as Dynamites will face Blasters in the open fixture of top national women’s cricket showpiece.

According to media department of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in the first, four sides will play T20 matches on round-robin basis and three teams will play one-day matches on a double round-robin basis with the final on 4 June.

The winning team will pocket PKR1 million and the runners-up will collect PKR500, 000 while the player of the match award winners will receive PKR20,000 and the player of the tournament will get PKR 50,000. All matches will start at 9:00 am.

Head of Women’s Cricket, Tania Mallick said:

“Pakistan Cup Women’s Cricket Tournament is an excellent opportunity for our female players to produce their best during the competition. “I hope our teams will show a good game of cricket and improve their experience too during this fixture.”
