ITF Juniors: Natalia Zaman claims an upset victory

ISLAMABAD (November 17, 2021):-Pakistani tall girl, Natalia Zaman claimed an upset victory in the Girls’ Singles discipline after thrashing third seed Ekaterina Suvorova of Russia 2-0 in the ITF Pakistan ITA-Midcourt International Junior Tennis Championships at PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad on Wednesday.
It was the second quarterfinal match of Girls’ Singles in which Pakistani girl proved too good against a high ranking Russian girl, as the first set went up neck-to-neck that finally won by local girl 7-6, as she finished second set at 6-4.

ISLAMABAD (November 16, 2021):-Mujtaba Ali Khan posted a big win in the ongoing ITF Pakistan ITA-Midcourt International Junior Tennis Championships after defeating high ranked Yunes Talawar in the Boys’ Singles at PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad on Tuesday.
Salim Saifullah Khan President, Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) visited PTF Complex and witnessed the matches and appreciated the performance of the players. Also, Tariq Mahmood Murtaza President Islamabad Tennis Association (ITA) and Chairman Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) visited the PTF complex, interacted with the players.

ISLAMABAD (November 13, 2021):-Abhishek Thorat defeated Abdullah Adnan 2-0 in the final of Boys Singles of the ITF Pakistan, NBP-PTF International Juniors Tennis Championship that concluded at PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad on Saturday.
Abhishek Thorat from United States of America (USA) beat Abdullah Adnan of Pakistan with the score line of 6-2 and 6-0 in a single sided affair. In girls Singles final, Goetz Taylor (USA) beat Daria Stefania Malaescu (ROU) 6-3, 6-2 and won the girls’ title of the ITF Pakistan, NBP-PTF International Juniors Tennis Championship.
Mohsin Mushtaq Secretary, Ministry of IPC graced the occasion as chief guest and Salim Saifullah Khan President – PTF as guest of honor. The Boys Singles final match was also witnessed by Tapas Adhikari, Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan, Col. Asif Zaman [R] Director General of Pakistan Sports Board Syed Anjum Naseer -SVP/ RE Operations National Bank the sponsor of the event.
Salim Saifullah Khan, while addressing the participants, appreciated the standard of tennis which was witnessed during the tournaments. He also congratulated the winners and extended his invitation to come to Pakistan again for the next ITF Juniors tournaments.
The President also appreciated the organizers for the conduct of the event in such a befitting manner despite COVID-19 constraints. He also praised the very effective coverage of the event by our print media. The President thanked the Islamabad Police for providing very elaborate security coverage to event. The President also lauded the professional acumen of Arif Qureshi ITF White Badge Referee for supervising the event.
Mohsin Mushtaq also appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Tennis Federation for attracting a large number of players and their parents from abroad to Pakistan for such international events. He was also highly impressed with PTF infrastructure and organizational and administrative capacity of PTF staff.

Aisam ul Haq and Rojer reach in final ATP Championship

ISLAMABAD (November 13, 2021):-Ace Pakistani tennis player, Aisam-ul-Haq pairing with Rojer Jean Julian from Netherlands made another mark after beating Swedish pair Markus Erickson and Elias Ymer in the semifinal of the ATP World Tennis Championship 2-0 and reached into the final at Stockholm Sweden. The final score-line was 6-3 and 6-2.
Aisam ul Haq Qureshi and his partner displayed high quality tennis to overcome their local duo of challengers. It is pertinent to mention here that in the quarterfinal they had defeated Ariel Behar of Uruguay and Gonzalo Escobar of Ecuador in straight sets with 6- 3 and 6-2 too. In the Round of 16, they beat an all French duo of Hugo Nys and Fabrice Martin in straight sets 6-4 and 6- 4.
Final will be played on Saturday against Mexican/Argentinean pair of Santiago Gonzalez and Andres Molteni.

ISLAMABAD (November 12, 2021):-Abhilasha Bista from Nepal pairing with Goetz Taylor from United States of America (USA) lifted the Girls’ Double title after beating Daria Stefania Malaescu (ROU) and Sharvani Shrestha (NEP) 2-0 in the NBP-PTF International Juniors Tennis Championship at PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad on Friday. The score-line was 6-1 and 6-2.
Meanwhile, Abdullah Adnan (PAK) and Abhishek Thorat (USA) set to meet in the final of Boys’ Singles of the ITF Pakistan, NBP-PTF International Juniors Tennis Championship after winning their respective semifinals at same venue.
In the Boys' Singles semifinals, Abdullah Adnan ousted top seed Aarav Samrat Hada (NEP) in straight sets 2-0 after showing impressive performance, as he will meet Abhishek Thorat (USA) in the final at same venue on Saturday. American guy outclassed Yunes Talawar (IRI) in straight sets in the second semifinal.

ISLAMABAD (November 11, 2021):-Besides local guy, Adbullah Adnan, Abhishek Thorat, Yunes Talawar and Aarav Samrat Hada moved into the semifinals of Boys’ Singles of the ITF Pakistan NBP-PTF International Juniors Tennis Championships after ousting their opponents in quarterfinals at PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad on Thursday.
In the first quarterfinal Adbullah Adnan of Pakistan outclassed Ahmet Atabay of Turkey in straight sets 2-0 with the score-line of 6-3 and 6-3 after presenting a quality game of tennis. He will take on American lad Abhishek Thorat, who defeated Raza Ghaus without conceding a single game in the second quarterfinal at same clay court.
