Cricket News: Zimbabwe Select beat Pakistan Shaheens 7 wickets
Sports Bulletin ReportHarare (Zimbabwe):-Zimbabwe Select defeated Pakistan Shaheens by 7 wickets in the fourth contest of the 6-match Series at the Harare Sports Club, Zimbabwe, as hosts have earned the 4-0 unconquerable lead in the One Day Internationals tie. Hosts reached on target of 296 runs in 47.3 overs, as the Pakistani bowlers could not create any difficulty for Ervine and Gumbie, who aggregated 277 runs for the second-wicket stand of 277. Ervine scored 161 off 144 including 19 fours and three sixes, as his partner Gumbie made 111 off 124 with the help of 10 fours. Craig Ervine declared man of the match. That Pakistan Shaheens posted a target of 296 was because of Omair’s 153 off 126. The right-handed batter struck 14 fours and four sixes and provided stability in the middle order after his side had lost three wickets for 55. The 24-year-old Karachi-born stitched a 139-run partnership with Kamran Ghulam, who made 55 off 79, for the fourth wicket. Once the partnership was broken in the 39th over, fast bowler Brad Evans made the most of the opening and recorded a five-wicket haul with five for 62 in 10 overs. The two teams will meet on Thursday at the same venue for the fifth one-day with the scoreline reading 3-1. Right-handed batter scored 50 runs in unbeaten innings against SCA’s boys’ elevens, as her innings was laced with six boundaries.At the end of the match, president Shalimar Cricket Academy President Raja Mohammad Tahir awarded a prize of Rs 1000 to Maham Anis for her outstanding batting performance.

Cricket News: 60 females to participate in Pakistan Cup Tournament
Sports Bulletin ReportKARACHI:-As many as 60 female players will take part in the Pakistan Cup Women’s Cricket Tournament 2023, which will be rolled into action on May 19 here at State Bank Ground, as Dynamites will face Blasters in the open fixture of top national women’s cricket showpiece.According to media department of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in the first, four sides will play T20 matches on round-robin basis and three teams will play one-day matches on a double round-robin basis with the final on 4 June.The winning team will pocket PKR1 million and the runners-up will collect PKR500, 000 while the player of the match award winners will receive PKR20,000 and the player of the tournament will get PKR 50,000. 15-man English Squad announced for Lord’s Test against Ireland

Surrey batter Ollie Pope has been officially confirmed as England’s vice-captain with immediate effect.Sussex fast bowler Jofra Archer has been ruled out for the rest of the summer after recent scans revealed he has sustained a recurrence of a stress fracture to his right elbow. Cricket News: U-23 captain Dellon Peiris dreams to play in national team
BIPIN DANISri Lanka's 23-year-old Emerging Team captain Dellon Peiris, who won the Player of the Series on Monday in Japan, is ambitious to play in the national team. Speaking exclusively over the telephone from Japan on Monday, he said, "Definitely that's the dream goal of any young cricketer. I think this is a good break that I got to prove myself and hoping and looking forward to work much harder and make sure that I get an opportunity to represent my country and to bring glory to it".Dellon Peiris got 9 wickets in four matches (the fifth was washed out because of the rain on Monday) and all four were won by the visiting team. Thanking the Sri Lanka Cricket and the sports ministry for the opportunity given to him and the boys, the captain said, "This is actually my first tour captaining a national side, so really pleased and happy with the outcome of the series. I think the boys did a great job adapting to the situations and improving on their mindset and skill set to make this achievement a success. All three departments had a huge improvement from game to game and that was the positive side of the series". "The wickets were not the same as what we get in Sri Lanka. The bounce was not consistent at all. So huge credit to the boys for changing their style of play and adapting to the wickets to make sure we win games". On his own performance, he adds, "Yes, really happy on how things have started to fall in place in my cricket career in the past few months or so. Lot of effort and hard work was put into making sure that I improved my game, especially from the mental part of the game. I worked really hard on how to handle situations under pressure with bat and ball, so I feel that made the difference in being able to achieve this goal".Incidentally, the home team Japan has two Sri Lanka-born players, Sapun Nawarathna and Dinesh Sandaruwan. The team manager, Vinothan John was equally pleased with the team performance. Incidentally, this has been the fourth successive win by his four teams under his management. He managed One-day A team against England Lions, his team won the NSL 4-day tournament and one-day tournament as well.

PCB appoints Grant Bradburn as head coach of men's team
Sports Bulletin ReportLAHORE:-Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday appointed former Kiwis cricketer, Grant Bradburn, as the head coach of the Pakistan national men’s for the next two years. He will lead the team’s coaching panel for upcoming international fixtures including World Cup 2023, which will be held the same year in India.According to the media department of PCB, Grant Bradburn served as the head coach of the side during the recently concluded home series against New Zealand on a consultancy basis. Pakistan got a 4-1 victory in a five-match series, as the five-match T20 International series was squared 2-2.

Final will be played today (Saturday) at the same venue.On Friday, Punjab beat Baluchistan by three wickets in the 11th league match. Baluchistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Baluchistan were bowled out only on 186 runs in allotted 20 overs. Matiullah was Baluchistan’s top scorer; he scored 35 off 32 balls and Kamran made 32 runs off 22 balls. For Punjab, Idrees was the pick amongst the bowlers; he claimed 3 wickets while Safdar, Haroon and Sajid took 1 wicket each.In reply, Punjab reached the target of 187 runs in 18.3 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Moain Aslam was the pick of the batters for Punjab, scoring 63 runs off 42 balls and Haroon Khan made 37 runs off 27 balls.
