Westbury Ranking Tennis: Shariq and Raahim jump into next round
KARACHI (Sports Reporter):- Shariq Rameez and Raahim Veqar moved into the second round of the Men’s Singles event of the ongoing 18th Westbury Ranking Tennis Championships at Defense Authority (DA) Creek Club Karachi Shariq Rameez had to toil hard in the court to overcome Kashan Tariq after three set encounter. The match score was 5-7, 6-0 and 6-4. Raahim Veqar register an easy victory against Ibad-ur-Rehman in staright set with the score-line of 6-1 and 6-1. Also, Versha Das worked hard to get rid of his opponent Eshal Zain in the first round of Girls Under- 15 Singles fixtures after three set match. The final score-line was 5-3, 2-4 and 4-0. Ahsan Ahmed of Continental Tennis Academy beat Natalia without losing a single game with 4-0, 4-0 score in the quarterfinal of Under 15 Singles. US lad Mujtaba wins ITF Pakistan Juniors Tennis Championship
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD (November 20, 2021):-Mujtaba Ali Khan from USA has won the title of ITF Pakistan, ITA-Midcourt International Juniors Tennis Championship after beating Russian lad Amir Asylkozhaev, who was second seed,  in straight sets 2-0 in the Boys’ Singles final at PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad on Saturday. The final score-line was 7-6 and 6-2. In the first set, Mujtaba Ali Khan (USA) was downed 0-5 after wasting three game points in 3rd game, as his opponent was too good in forehand drives. Mujtaba won the 6th game and bounced back in the crucial match. After breaking the love score, Mujtaba played a top quality game and did not allow his challenger to win the set. He broke the 7th and 9th service of the Russian player and leveled the set score 5-5 after holding the service in 10th game of the first set. Khan had a chance to finish the set at 7-5 when he broke the service of Amir in the 11th game but failed to maintain his pace in the 12th game that he wasted. At set-break Mujtaba finished at 7-3 and got a vital lead in the final. Later, in the second set, both players took the start with confidence but Amir was good and earned the early lead 2-0 after breaking the opponent's serve in the first game. After going down 0-2, Mujtaba Ali once again came back in the match from behind and leveled the set 2-2. At this stage, the winning guy showed his full power and played an excellent game of tennis and amused the spectators. He used his great services and played powerful forehand and backhand drives from base-line and finished the set at 6-2. Amir could not get a solitary point in the 5th, 6th and 7th games, as that finished 40-0. “I am happy with my performance and I was not well settled in the first set in which I went down 0-5 but I was trying to win at least a single game in the first set. After winning the first game I got the command in the match. The first set win encouraged me a lot. My service was good as compared to Amir. He is also a good player. I had to toil hard in the court to overcome him in the final, “Mujtaba Ali Khan said while talking to www.sports-bulletin.com after the match. Earlier, in the morning session, in the Girls’ Singles final, Taylor Goetz Taylor from USA beat Abhilasha Bista from Nepal in straight sets 2-0. The winner conceded only a single game in the two sets. Col. Gul Rehman (Retd) Secretary Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) distributed the prizes among the winners and runner ups.

Westbury Ranking Tennis Championships start from Saturday
Sports Reporter KARACHI (November 19, 2021):-The 18th Westbury Ranking Tennis Championships will commence from Saturday at Synthetic Hard Courts of DA Creek Club. Karachi Tennis Association (KTA) will host the prestigious tennis fixture under the auspices of Sindh Tennis Association (STA).  According to an official of STA, Westbury Group sponsor the STA circuit tennis event annually. The organizers have received 180 entries in various events including 17 players from Hyderabad and other cities of Sindh. STA has finalized seeding of various events, Men’s Singles Farhan Altaf top seed, Nadir Bachani (Hyderabad) 2nd seed. Raahim Veqar top seed in Under- 17 Singles, Natalia Zaman in Ladies Singles, Rafi Derbari (Hyderabad) in 35 plus Singles.

ITF Juniors: Abhilasha and Taylor lift the Girls Doubles title, Russian lads clinch Boys Doubles
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD (November 19, 2021):-Abhilasha Bista from Nepal pairing with American girl Taylor Gotez have won the Girls’ Doubles title of ITF Pakistan ITA-Midcourt International Junior Tennis Championship after overcoming Russian girls Olga Sorochkina and Ekaterina Suvorova 2-0 in final at PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad on Friday. Russian lads claimed Boys’ Doubles title afternoon at same venue, as they ousted Aarav SamratHada and Aki Zuben Rawat from Nepal 2-1. In the morning session, in Girls Doubles finals, Abhilasha Bista and Taylor Goetz outclassed Russian girls in straight sets 2-0 in a single sided affair. Both players displayed excellent skill of tennis and did not allow their challenger to settle their feet in the court. The final score-line was 6-1 and 6-2. Boys’ Singles was played afternoon, Russian lads AmirAsylkozhaev and DmitryBessonov had to toil hard in the court to overcome Nepal’s opponents Aarav SamratHada and Aki ZubenRawat. The final score-line was 4-6, 6-0 and 10-6. The Girls’ Singles final and Boys Singles final will be played on Saturday on the clay courts of at PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad. Girls Singles final will start at 10:30 am while Boys Singles final at 2:00 pm. Mujtaba and Amir reach in final of ITF International Tennis championship
Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD (November 18, 2021):-US guy Mujtaba Ali Khan and Russian lad Amir Asylkozhaev set to meet in the final after winning their respective semifinals  of the Boys’ Singles fixture of the ITF Pakistan ITA-Midcourt International Junior Tennis Championships at PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad on Thursday. Tahir Mushtaq-Chief Human Resource PTV visited PTF Complex today interacted with the players and also had a photo session with participants. He also went around to see the arrangements and was highly impressed with the PTF infrastructure and appreciated organizational and administrative working. Asian Tennis Federation elects Salim Board of Directors member
ISLAMABAD (Sports Reporter):-President, Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), Salim Saifullah Khan has been elected as a the member of the Board of Directors of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF)  during the elections held at the virtual the Annual General Meeting of the ATF. Salim Saifullah Khan thanked the ATF member countries for supporting his candidature, which resulted in his election as a member of the Board of Directors. He also assured that all of us would work collectively to further promote and develop tennis in Asia, especially by concentrating on the grass-root level as there is no dearth of talent in our region. He also emphasised enhanced cooperation between the Federations of ATF in various fields.

ITF Juniors: Natalia Zaman claims an upset victory
Sports Bulletin Report ISLAMABAD (November 17, 2021):-Pakistani tall girl, Natalia Zaman claimed an upset victory in the Girls’ Singles discipline after thrashing third seed Ekaterina Suvorova of Russia 2-0 in the ITF Pakistan ITA-Midcourt International Junior Tennis Championships at PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad on Wednesday. It was the second quarterfinal match of Girls’ Singles in which Pakistani girl proved too good against a high ranking Russian girl, as the first set went up neck-to-neck that finally won by local girl 7-6, as she finished second set at 6-4.
