Haikou (China ): Pakistan concluded an outstanding campaign at the AVC Boys' U18 Volleyball Championship 2026 with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Thailand in the 5th Position Match, securing 5th place in Asia and earning qualification for the FIVB Men's U19 World Championship China 2027.
The championship, held from 12 to 18 July 2026 in Haikou, China, brought together Asia's strongest youth volleyball nations. Pakistan once again demonstrated its growing strength at the continental level by finishing among the top five teams in Asia and qualifying for another FIVB World Championship.

The match was one of the most exciting encounters of the championship, with both teams displaying high-quality volleyball throughout five fiercely contested sets.
Thailand started strongly, taking the opening set 25-17 through effective serving and attacking.
Pakistan responded brilliantly in the second set, showing tremendous determination and composure under pressure. The Green Shirts saved crucial points before edging Thailand 28-26 in a thrilling finish to level the match.
Building on their momentum, Pakistan dominated the third set with disciplined blocking, accurate serving, and aggressive attacks to claim it 25-21, moving one set away from victory.
Thailand refused to surrender and forced a deciding fifth set after winning the fourth 25-18.
The final set showcased Pakistan's fighting spirit and resilience. With both teams battling for every point, the Green Shirts remained composed during the decisive moments and sealed the fifth set 15-12, completing a memorable 3-2 victory.
