ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation (PTBF) has announced the national contingent for the upcoming International Bowling Federation (IBF) World Cup Tenpin Bowling Championship, scheduled to take place from October 12 to October 21 in Munich, Germany.
The squad will be led by Team Manager Mohammad Hussain, alongside a four-member playing squad featuring top national bowlers including Ahmer Saldera, Ghazanfar Bilal, Daniyal Ur Rehman and Mohammad Moeez.
PTBF President Ijaz Ur Rehman said that nearly 48 nations from across the globe will compete for world titles in Munich.
Besides, Pakistan, USA, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, Kuwait, China, Canada, Spain, France, Sweden, Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Great Britain will take part in the competition.
Ijaz further said, "This mega event is a prestigious platform for our athletes to test their skill against the world's best bowlers,"Our team has undergone solid preparation, and we are confident they will perform strongly and wave the green flag high on the international stage."
To ensure the contingent's smooth travel and entry clearance, President Ijaz Ur Rehman appealed to the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) and the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) to issue No Objection Certificate (NOC).
He requested the PSB to grant the mandatory No Objection Certificate (NOC) on an urgent basis so visa applications, ticketing, and travel arrangements can be completed without delay.
Head of PTBF also requested the sports authorities to release financial assistance and grants to cover event registration fees, travel expenses, bowling gear, and accommodation costs for the national squad.
