Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi elected as PCB's Chairman

Shah Khawar had summoned a special meeting of the Board of Governors (BoG) today at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.Addressing the BoG following his election, Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi said: “I am deeply honoured and humbled to have been unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board. I am thankful for the trust and confidence reposed in me. Winners were up 07-0 at half time.Under the auspices of Pakistan Rugby Union, Lahore Rugby Football Club (LRFC) organized the 1st LRFC Kashmir Solidarity 10s Rugby Tournament with the corporation Servis Tyres at Pakistan Rugby Academy Lahore. Four teams participated in this one-day event, of which LRFC, Lahore Hawks, Islamabad Jinns, and Desert Camels Fort Abbas are the teams.Lahore Hawks beat Islamabad Jinns in the final by 26-5 and won this event. At half time, the score was 07-05. From Lahore Hawks, Amsal and Amir score two and two tries each, while Umer scores one and some conversions by other players. From Islamabad jinns, Sohaib scored only one try.Before that, league matches were played between four teams: in the first game, LRFC beat Desert Camels 29-05, Islamabad Jinns beat Desert Camels 24-0, Lahore Hawks beat LRFC 17-15, Lahore Hawks beat Desert Camels 19-0, and LRFC beat Islamabad Jinns 19-21. In 3rd and 4th position matches, LRFC beat Desert Camels 24-7.In the end, chief guest, President of Pakistan Rugby Union and Director of Servis Tyres Ch. Arif Saeed, along with chairmen PRU Fawzi Khawaja, distributed trophies and prizes. At this moment, many former players of Punjab Rugby, LRFC officials Tariq Naiazi, Haji Anwar, Umer Uaman, Mohammad Baber, Mohammad Pasha, Mohammad Waseem, and others also witnessed this event.

Ramkumar Ramanathen, and Sriram Balaji claimed victories for India. The Doubles’ and two reverse singles will be played on Sunday (February 4, 2024) at the same venue.In the first singles, Ramkumar Ramanathen won the toss and decided to serve first, as he hit the first serve in the net, however, the Indian guy played an aggressive game and won the first game without conceding a solitary point. Both players exhibited top-class tennis in the first set and maintained their respective serves till 6-6. Aisam won the first set on tie-break at 7-3 by smashing a couple of aces.After losing the first set, Ramkumar changed his strategy and broke the first game of Aisam without conceding a single point. He maintained the same pace in the second game and finished in a similar style without losing any points and made the score 2-0. Aisam bounced back in the set by breaking the 4th game of his challenger to square the set point 2-2. Both players retained serves in the rest of the eight games. The score was one again level at 6-6. This time Ramkumar won the set on a tie-break to level the match at 2-2.In the decisive set, Aisam did not feel well owing to his injury and during the set, he got three minutes of a medical break. Ramkumar finished the third set 6-0. The final score-line of the match was 7-6 (7-3), 6-7 (7-4), 6-0. In the second match, Sriram Balaji defeated Aqeel Khan in straight sets 2-0 at the same venue. The final score-line was 7-5, and 6-3.
President's Trophy: Pindi to host final between WAPDA and SNGPL

WAPDA and SNGPL qualified for the final after topping the points table, with five and four wins respectively. Sports Bulletin ReportSharjah (UAE): The 15-day training camp of Pakistani athletes for the 11th Al-Fujairah Open Taekwondo Championship, which will be held in Al-Fujairah of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from February 4 to 6, 2024 in Sharjah UAE. The camp was organized by Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF) under the supervision of Pakistan's Iranian-born coach Master Yusuf Karami.Top national players including Haroon Khan, Hamza Omar Saeed, Shahzaib Khan, Mohammad Arbaz Khan, Mazhar Abbas, Nauman and Ehtishamul Haq will represent Pakistan in the Al-Fujairh Open Championship. Omar Saeed will be Team Leader, Ashfaq Ahmed Manager, Yusuf Karami Head Coach, Zubair Macha will be the coordinator and Faisal Butt will be the physio. After participating in the Al Fujairah Open, the Pakistan Taekwondo team will participate in the Fajr Open Taekwondo Championship held in Tehran from February 12 to 15, in addition to the World Taekwondo President Asia Cup from February 16 to 19 in Tehran and then from February 21 to 22 will take part in the Asian Club Taekwondo championship.

The Dutch delivered an impressive show over Southeast Asian nation in the concluding clash to clinch the first ever Hockey5s trophy. The hosts Oman finished in third place to claim historic bronze globe medal after defeating Poland 3-2 in the third and fourth playoff on Wednesday.Oman head coach, Aikman Siegfried, affirmed that Oman national team boys had a dream in this inaugural FIH Men's Hockey5s World Cup. "This dream came true after they hey achieved the bronze medal following their crucial triumph over Poland. FIH Men's Hockey5s World Cup: Netherlands edge Oman 5-3
Adil Al Balushi Muscat (Oman): Netherlands defeated the hosts Oman 5-3 in semifinals of 2024 FIH Men's Hockey5s World Cup (Oman 2024) on Tuesday to make it to the finals. At the Hockey Oman Stadium in Al Amerat, the national team hockey players delivered a solid performance despite the defeat while the Dutch continued to set the standard for the tournament as the produced a top show. Oman will vie for a bronze medal against the looser of Poland and Malaysia match who played a late match on Tuesday.Back to Oman and Netherlands game, the hosts Oman were delayed in the first half by 3-0 after Schop Alexander, De Wijn Sander and Van Der Drift Yannick found the target by the half-time break before then extending their lead in the second half to reach an 5-3 victory. Two minutes later, Khalid al Shaaibi added the second goal in style to make it 4-2 before Van Aart Jamie came back again to score the fifth goal in the 23rd minute. Sami al Laun managed to score the concluding goal for Oman to end the game at 5-3 for the Dutch. Oman beat Kenya (5-2):Earlier on Tuesday, Oman secured spot in the semifinal after they beat Kenya 5-2 in a thrilling match. The national team players produced an excellent show that confirmed Oman's presence in the last four in a historic achievement. Oman's Rashad al Fazari took the lead for his team after a perfect corner goal in the 9th minute and within the same minute, Khalid al Shaaibi doubled the lead for Oman to 2-0. Masambu Bethuel netted the first goal for Kenya in the 13th minute through field goal to end the first half at 2-1 for the hosts Oman. In the following quarter, Asama Barazhan struck the third goal before Khald al Shabib added two more goals in the 20th and 22nd minute to raise Oman's hopes in advancing to the historic semifinals. Masambu Bethuel managed to score the team's second goal again in the 23rd minute to conclude the match at 5-2.Netherlands beat India (7-4): In another match, Netherlands outplayed India 7-4 to book slot in the semifinals.
