Usman Bashir wins the Ramadan Cycle Race
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-Usman Bashir has won the Ramadan Cycle Race by covering the 29.4 kilometers distance in 38 minutes and 16 seconds that held under the banner of Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) Management Committee for the Cycling. Sajid Zia from Railway and Mohammad Shakeel also from Railway remained second and third respectively. A total of 28 Cyclists took part in the Race. Chief guest for opening ceremony was Malik Mohammad Akram Awan who gave away start from Punjab Stadium Lahore. Sameen Ullah Gandapur was the chief guest at the closing ceremony, who gave away handsome cash awards and trophies to poison holders. Organizing secretary was Qasir Saddique Bhatti, Talha Babar was chief judge while Mohammad Akram Dar was chief coordinator of the race.

Kashmir Day Cycle Race: Izzat Ullah claims top position
Sports Bulletin Report LAHORE:-Izzat Ullah from Pakistan WAPDA has won the Kashmir Day Open Cycle Race after covering the fixed distance in 3 hours 7 minutes & 35 seconds that held by Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) Management Committee for the Sports of Cycling in Pakistan under the banner of Kamyab Jawan. According to an official, the cycle race took place from Lahore to Sialkot men and women Open Road Cycle Race to observe the Kashmir Day in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC). Pakistan WAPDA’s cyclists won the both races. The races were started from Governor House Lahore toward Gujranwala and terminated at Bab-e-Iqbal Sialkot. The chief guest for the opening ceremony was Choudhary Mohammad Sarwar Governor Punjab who gave away the start of races from Governor House. Javad Mamon Director General Sports Higher Education Commissioner, Mohammad Irfan Sheraz Director HEC, Tahira Saleem Director Sports, Punjab University, Mohammad Arshad Sattar, Director Sports University of Central Punjab, Rana Mohammad Amjid, Director Sports, Mohammad Amjid, Director Sports, UET Taxila, Zubair Butt, Director Sports PU, Mohammad Wasif Punjab University were also accompany with this mega event. Usman Dar Special Assistance to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Kamyab Jawan was chief guest for closing and prize distribution ceremony at Sialkot. Imran Qurashi Deputy Commissioner Sialkot and DPO were also present at the ceremony. The total cash awards for men and women Rs. 300,000 were distributed amongst the first fifteen position holders from each side. National Track Cycling Championship starts from Monday
Ali Ahmed LAHORE (October 17, 2021):-President, Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF), Syed Azhar Ali Shah announced on Sunday that the 3-day 66th National Track Cycling Championship 2021 would be paddled off from Monday in the metropolitan city Lahore. While unfolding the details of championship in a press conference head of PCF Azhar Shah flanked with other PCF officials including Secretary General Nisar Ahmad, Vice President Muazzam Khan and Shoaib Nizami, further told to journalists that over one hundred cyclists would take part in the top national event. “Players from Pakistan Army and Pakistan Wapda will not participate in the national event, “he added. "Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) has been destroying sports in the country by establishing a number of parallel federations while they have also asked Pakistan WAPDA and Army teams not to participate in the event. The construction of cycling velodrome in Quetta was also stopped by the POA, which is also against the Olympic Movement," Azhar Shah alleged. "For the last three years, we didn't get a single penny from the Pakistan Sports Board, but even then we have been providing each and every facility to our talented cyclists and also conducting national events for them to keep them fit and well-prepared for the international events. We have just one thing in mind that is to serve the country and its talented cyclists, and in return, we want them to win international laurels for the Pakistan," added the PCF president. "We selected Pakistan cycling team on merit for the World Road Championship, and the genuine players represented the country in the mega event. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Wooden Cycling Velodrome is being established and its feasibility report has been prepared, and it will be Pakistan's first international standard velodrome, where international competitions will be conducted, “he maintained. On this occasion, PCF Secretary Nisar Ahmad said: "The National Track Championship 2021 will be conducted in Lahore and it will help us find fresh and promising talent, which will be further trained and groomed and will be sent abroad to feature in the international events. We are keen to promote cycling in the country and we will continue this mission despite all odds." PCF Vice President Muazzam Khan Klair Said: all the preparations to conduct the championship in a successful manner have been completed. This will be for the first time that open cycling race will also be organised. Our main goal is promotion of cycling and providing maximum opportunities to Pakistani cyclists to exhibit their prowess in national events and after performing well, book berth in national team to represent Pakistan in international events.

Open Road Cycle Race on October 3
SPORTS BULLETIN REPORT Lahore (September 27, 2021):-The Open Road Cycle Race will be held on October 3, 2021 under the banner of Punjab Cycling Associaton (PCA) in the collaboration with United Cycling Club (UCC) Mughalpura aiming to promote and develop for the game of Cycling. According to PCA official, the race will start from Mughalpura Post Office railway Workshop Road Lahore at 07.00 am Sharp toward Mughalpura canal and then Lal Pull to Fatahghar, Harbancepura canal and then turn back from Jallo Canal Bridge terminated at Mughalpura Underpass Lahore. The race will flag off by Syed Nazakat Ali, former International Cyclist and President United Cycling Club Mughalpura. Malik Mohammad Akram Awan will be the chief guest of the closing ceremony and give away the cash prizes to the first three position winners of the race. Mohammad Akram Dar International Cyclist has been nominated as chief judge and Qaisar Saddique Bhatti as Organizing Secretary of the Race. Talha Babar will be Director Coordinator of Race, which is going to stage on the directions of Punjab Olympic Association.

LAHORE WHITES WIN INDEPENDENCE DAY CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIP
SPORTS REPORT Lahore (August 14, 2021):-Lahore Whites have won the Cycling Independence Day celebration Championship that held under the auspices of Sports Board Punjab at Cycling Velodrome Lahore. In the Men’s competitions, Lahore Whites aggregated 70 points t5o reach at the top position while Lahore Blue finished with 30 points and Lahore Red third 22 points. In women’s event, Lahore Red got 75 points, Lahore Blue runner-up with 40 points and Lahore white third position with points. Total six teams from all over Lahore took part in the Independence Day celebration Championship. The chief guest for opening ceremony was Raees ul Reham Assistant Director Sports Board Punjab while chief guest for closing Ceremony Respected Adnan Arshad Aulakh Director General Sports Board Punjab, who distributed cash awards, medals and trophies to the winners. Mohammad Sharif from Men side and Areej Ansar from Women side declared best player and also awarded Rs. 5000 each by Mohammad Hafeez Bhatti Director Sports, Sports Board Punjab.

SACA elects Azhar Ali Shah as its President
ABDUL JABBAR FAISAL ISLAMABAD (March 24, 2021):-South Asian Cycling Association (SACA) has elected Syed Azhar Ali Shah, who is also president of Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) its news president in its meeting held in Dubai other day. The meeting was attended by five member countries out of seven including Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Nepal and Bangladesh while Sri Lanka and the Maldives were absent. The meeting was chaired by Parmandar Singh President Indian Cycling Federation, who was the President of South Asian Cycling Association from last four years. The House also discussed a number of matters related to development of sport of cycling in the region. The meeting awarded South Asian Road Cycling Championship for Men’s and Women’s to Pakistan. Mountain Bike Championship has been awarded to Nepal and Track Championship awarded to India for the year 2021. The meeting unanimously elected Syed Azhar Ali Shah (Pakistan), as President SACA for the term of next four years. The meeting also elected four Vice President including MohammadTahir(Bangladesh), Minder Singh (India), Karunartna ( Srilanka) and one from Maldives. Gopal S L kakshapli (Nepal) has been elected as General Secretary and Fasli from Afghanistan elected as Finance Secretary.

SSGC wins the 65th National Track Cycling Championship-2019
Faraz Ahmed Kayani   ISLAMABAD (December 30, 2019):-Three-day 65th National Track Cycling Championship concluded at Cycling Velodrom, Lahore on Monday. SSGC’s Women won the 1st position by gaining 165 points, second position achieved by KP Cycling Association Team and third by the Punjab Cycling Association by aggregating 68 and 62 points respectively.  Male Championship is also won by Sui Southern Gas Corporation (SSGC) by begging 171 points, second by Punjab 94 and third by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) by gaining 38 points. Razzaq of SSGC declared men’s elite champion, he gained 65 points. Rajia Shabir of SSGC declared as Women Elite Champion, she got 75 points. Nashmia of Punjab declared Women Junior Champion and Mohammad Sharif of Punjab declared men’s junior champion. Amna Imran Khan DG Pakistan Sports Board with Ihsan Bota secretary Punjab Sport Ministry and director Admin Punjab Sports Board Javed Chohan distributed trophies and medals among the winner at closing ceremony.

National Track Cycling Championship 2019 paddles off
  By Abdul Jabbar Faisal ISLAMABAD (December 28, 2019):-The 65th National Track Cycling Championship commenced on Saturday in Cycling Velodrome, Lahore. Akbar Durrani Secretary Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) inaugurated the championship in a colorful ceremony. Besides large number of Sports lovers, Director General, Pakistan Sport Board (PSB) Amna Imran Khan, and president Athletic Federation (AFP) Major General (Retd) Mohammad Akram Sahi were present in the inaugural ceremony of the championship. Top athletes from all provincial cycling association, Islamabad, Pakistan Ordinance Factories (POF) Wah, Biekstan Cycling Club, Karachi and SSGC are participating in the top national cycling event. Nisar Ahmed Secretary General, Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) is the organizing Secretary of the event. Mohammad Ali, Javed Khan, Shahzada Butt, Muzam Khan are members of Organizing Committee. In his welcome address, Syed Azhar Ali Shah President PCF, appeal the federal government for provision of funds for the renovation of the cycling velodrome Lahore, he also requested federal and provincial governments to establish one Velodrom in the federal and provincial capitals. He also requested all provincial local government departments to make provision for cycling tracks in their all future residential plans. Amna Imran Khan DG PSP in her address thanked Syed Azhar Ali Shah for being informing about the problems of cycling, she assured that PCF and all other sports that PSB is committed to provide all available facilities to sports. Akbar Durrani Secretary IPC in his address thanked Syed Azhar Ali Shah President PCF and all others, he said that there was a need to impose Sports Emergency in Pakistan, as sports was the only source to provide recreation and good health to the people of Pakistan. He expressed sorrow on the state of affairs of sports in Pakistan; he assured that IPC would provide all possible facilities to PCF for its endeavors for the promotion of sport of cycling in Pakistan. Total 24 events of male and female in both elite and junior categories will held in three days championships. About 100 riders and officials are taking part in this event.
