Sports Bulletin ReportISLAMABAD: The first Pakistan Baseball League (PBL) will be rolled into action on September 6, 203 here at International Baseball Ground, Pakistan Sports Complex.According to an official of the Pakistan Baseball Federation (PBBF), as many as 2 men's and 2 women's teams will participate in the first edition of PBL, as 3x3 matches will be played between teams. The organizing committee of the first league under the auspices of the Pakistan Federation of Baseball has announced the names of the teams and captains.Pakistan Federation Baseball Finance Secretary and Tournament Director Tahir Mehmood said that the PBL Men's matches would be between Quetta Kings and Peshawar Eagles, as the Quetta Kings would be led by Inayat Niazi while Peshawar Eagles by Fazal Khan.“PBL Women's match will be between Islamabad Stars and Lahore Royals, Shazia Javed will be the captain of Islamabad Stars while Sudra Dogar will be the captain of Lahore Royals. The national and international men and women star baseball players will fight for titles.Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) will provide full support for PBL. The training camps for men and women involved in the league are already underway at Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad. The final squads of the teams will be announced next week. PBL Star will be a source for Pakistani players to go to other foreign leagues including America and promote this game in the country.
